For me, the ideas in ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.
I can't be the only one that finds theses videos therapeutic
poiu77
U are not alone.. strange how
Feeling you , hearing you. Too true
Been recovering from surgery a week ago, and stumbled upon this channel. I’ve probably watched half the videos already!
nah man it's definitely therapeutic to watch him build a nice dick
You aren’t the only one
The only saw i would add is Hacksaw great for cutting metal and plastic i use it often. :)
Konnichiwa Scott Brown san - 両刃(ryoba) --- 両 (Ryou)= both/double, 刃 (ha/ba) = blade. Kataba is the other one with Kata meaning single in this case. Ryoba - double edged saw. A bit like doing work for family?
Lol a bit like that yeah, it's all good though . thanks Rob!
Ok, NZ just moved up on my "possible places I want to move to" list.
When a local thinks 82° is hot, that is MY type of place!
but there's a hole in the ozone down there and if you're in the sun down there its blazing hot even at like 55 degrees, I worked on a vineyard there it was awful
Yea I live in nz, it’s a different type of hot here.
@@samuelbuettner1214 can confirm. 30 degrees + feels like australias 38
@@reece2213 thats what i keep telling people.....it doesnt sound hot....but its a different kinda hot.....you actually feel the sting from the sun unlike any other place.....saying that, summer time at the beach is the best ( with sunblock of course)
its a different hot....20 degrees celcius will burn you within 10 minutes....the sun has bite down here...
Just got my first Japanese saw for my birthday last year. Will definitely getting more from Gaston
Love your work Scott!
I love that little green handle flush cut one. Apart from dowels etc, I use it for cutting acrylic, ABS plastics, conduits etc. Never go without it 👍🏼
I'm 26 just moved to NZ and starting out an apprenticeship soon. Your videos are so helpful it's crazy! Keep it up bro, you've no idea how much they help people like me!
Love to hear that bro, good luck with the apprenticeship!
How did you move to NZ?
Another exciting episode of Scott Brown! I have been looking forward to your video, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Keep it up. I also want one of those fancy Japanese saws (for woodworking). Greetings from Holland
I got a cheap one from the Lidl. That's even great! (Kost geen drol)
@@JKnyp I have one a swell from the Lidle, it has a green/red color. I haven't used it yet but amazing to hear that it's good. Thanx mate!
Loved the use of a magnifying glass.
2nd week of January New Zealand goes back to work. Australia stays on holiday until at least the end of the month.
Now you just need to replace both sets of stairs and those posts... Can't wait to see that video in 2022. lol.
😂😂
I have finally caught up on all the videos. Man I love the content, keep it up big dog.
Hay Scott. I’ll admit I went on to Parnaha tools. And I got the air wedge given to me for Christmas. Already paid for itself this year being a tremendous help on my last 4 door hangings.
You make carpentry interesting as boxing to me , brilliant content. from an Irishman in Sydney 🇮🇪
Love the work Scott Brown
January = Peak summer. Gotta love down under
Your moms awesome scott, good 👍 job on your 3 year project from almost 2022
😆🤣
I love hand saws. Only problem is people look at you like you are nuts when you pull one out. Especially younger people. Odd.
Drinking out of the cocoanut is a power move
Just binge watched about a dozen exciting episodes 😳 each fantastic! Well Done Scott keep those episodes rolling in and keep that a team together
Thanks Scott for these great videos!!
Excellent work mate!
Home projects always take longer.
Till next time
The stairs look solid maybe just take a flapper to the rounds a floor edger to the flats. Very nice the way the steps wrap around the corner.
Where is Paerau? To cook and drink cocktails, walking on hands... I can't watch without him :)
In the next episode
These hand saws look like mine. Nice and unused. lol. I used to use one quite a bit finishing stringers or cutting a birds mouth on rafters ect. ect.. Anymore I just use a reciprocating saw, oscillating tool or jigsaw. I occasionally use a flush cut saw but that's the only hand saw I even carry with me anymore. I have a ton they just tend to get destroyed more than they get used traveling with me.
Finally, friend, I'll show you .., greetings from Argentina
So STOKED for more Scott Brown Carpentry! The time you take editing really shows. Well done transitions and syncing. I also got into Japanese saws from watching the Samurai Carpenter. Check out the Gyokucho Timberman's Saw for heavy/treated timber/lumber. Used a buddy's when helping with a fence and was very pleased how much better it worked than the European style saw. Also, deck turned out great!
Thanks man! That saw looks pretty sweet, might look into getting one!
I love my cheap bahco profcut saws, i treat them as disposable as it's the boss that pays for them, and they don't stay sharp for very long, but they are lovely to use when new.
9dollar jack saw does me
Shes gonna get you back to do those stairs mate. I just know it as they are a different colour.
Hello Scott, HNY ! Find you last year, watched all your videos. You work great ( & P. too) A real pleasure to see wood jobs like that and the technical advices with. Regards from Belgium ;)
Thanks for watching
Glad to have you back, Scott. Looking forward to a wonderful 2019.
nothing like a good decking!
Welcome back to the Tube. Breaks are always good....just like a fresh Scott Brown vid!
Silky Woodboy! Could be a name synonymous with a whole other industry.
Still back here almost 2 years later to the day!
Episode 111, replacement of the deck stairs, you know it’s coming bud😂 Happy new year from Wales 🏴
Nooooo 😂
Good to have you back Scott, happy new year.
Im looking forward to a new year with your awesome videos.
Greetings from Denmark
Cheers Mark!
good to see you back
Happy new year! Good to see you back.
Impressive Production board!😎❤️
Good saws are good saws, but J saws are better IMO... BTW, the side to side wiggly diddly of the teeth is called set, the set help to clear the saw dust and help in prevent the blade from binding in the kerf... The flush cut saw have no set and like you said it prevent making the wood adjacent to the cut!! Happy new year mate!
Cheers mate!
I wanna become a Carpenter!
That’s a good mumma’s boy... lol.
Happy new year!
Been waiting for the next exciting episode!! Happy new year!
Wooo I got a love!!
I like using a hand saw (usually old relatively blunt) for cutting gin board
Glad youre back man really like youre vids . happy new year.
Looks great but you need to check out the CAMO fastener
Gday Scott 👍🙂👍.. gonna buy a new ( maybe two 🙄😃) new Japanese treats for meself 😉... two new saws .
What model number is your smaller Ryoba saw , link says it’s a 240 length 611 Konami 19.5 tpi .. but on your magnification of blade .. 🤔was thinking looks more like the 610 model ( 14.9tpi cross ) or maybe one of the 240 length variants such as the 650 or 651 models ..
be brill if you could let me know 🙂👍.. I like the stuff and recommendations you make whilst using the various newbies 🙂😃.
Any opinions on the 300 length 616 Ryoba ..
I use similiar size saws on rough timber , 3” fence post and other exterior lumber on outbuildings and farm type shelters and runs etc ..
thank you Scott ..
keep your chin up .
Keep calm , carry on 🇬🇧👍🙂👍
Yaaaay silky wood boys back hahahahaha!! welcome back bro!!!
What kind of batteries do you recommend for those saws.
Batteries stop working. All my saws are cabled.
I'd go for natural.
Solar powered.
Sugar?
Nah nah. Sushi and hot sake.
He showed coconuts I imagine that is part of it
And he's back! ;D
Gotta get those jobs for the parents done. You’re a good son. I’m sure your mum is quietly proud.
You know Mum is going to be onto you now to change the rest of that mismatched timber 😁
The Scots do love free stuff
Happy new year Scott
Happy new year bro
Hi Scott, festool have these cyclone separator which combine with the ct vac. It is awesome and you will save on bags. You should check it out on UA-cam. Regard, Harry @Australia
And you can make it with a bucket and a ridged vac that probably works better. Dont buy festool.
good on ya' mate!
Your mum must be very patient!
I need one that cuts nails, behind red cedar shingle on a exterior wall... What would you recommend on for cutting metal ? Thanks SBC... I have recently become addicted to watching your channel.. You do great work .
Multitool with a carbide blade
Now to replace the stairs to match
Dr, Dr I can't cope! Dr, do you have a coping saw? Oh, no wonder you can't cope.
got the hot mommy!!!! glad to see you back from holiday Scott. looking forward to an awesome 2019. keep your game and go makita brother.
I’ve built so many homes I’ve never had need to use one of those actually never seen them from where I’m from (Canada Ontario)
Samurai carpenter is using them over in BC 🙂 I was a bit late to the party too, but I really like them now
Always the first to watch your videos. Keep it up you legend 👍
Why was that coconut so perfect???
You Just need to replace the old steps now😂!
Yay new video
Mate u gotta do the stairs
Out of all the saws Scott you don't have a tenon saw 😂 I'll send you one over to add to your collection 😂😂😂😂
Can you make a video of all your tools?
Deck looks great, any plans on covering/replacing the steel frame?
In one of your other videos, you showed a small retractable ‘box cutter’ size saw. What’s the name of that one? Thanks!
Gyokucho! Your tool belt video has the link. Thanks Scott.
yess I have missed you... no homo.......
28/82.4 so that's hot to you guys? Sry, I'm from from Southern California and lived in Phoenix, Arizona for a year...That is room temperature to us desert folk!
Loved the saws though, "I think I'm turning Japanese" I'm going to get one.
cool vid Scott do you know the name of the bigger thicker Japanese saw wouldn't mind getting one cheers Happy new year as well
My hand saw to cut shims has been replaced by a multitool. And angle grinder with sanding disk? Have you ever eaten cheetos before?
Try a arbortech carving blade. My top tool of 2018 with a cordless grinder of course😁👍
its a japanese pullsaw cuts on the pull
Great videos, finally subbed. Love the accent, say 'deck' again... hah!
That saw could be use in cricket...I think.
Happy new year
To you too !
8:17😆
hey, Scott, do you use the bigger Japanese saw much ? cheers
can one person assemble this shed?
So you have all those pull saws but how often do you use those saws.
And how many electric saws
hey scott, was just wondering how you scribed around the retaining posts with the decking? wer doing a deck at my place with big retaining posts in front and to the side of it so some insight would be greatful!
If you put the last full board down you can then use it as a reference line for the circle cut. Find the diameter of the post and work out the centre point using the reference board......hopefully I'll do a video about it in the future , I'm better at explaining it that way 😂
@@ScottBrownCarpentry That'd be mint, cheers mate
I need to cut something after I watch this.
how cold in oC does it get in new Zealand in the winter
Auckland very rarely hits 0c . But down south it gets well below 0
Can I presume that was a non-alcoholic drink you had before operating those power tools? Nothing added... off camera?
It probably coconut water
😂 coconut water only
I used to be an apprentice carpenter and he would make us work in 40 degree heat. Not fun
and emergency pizza flippers
Scott hows that makita speaker any good?
It's ok, good sound. But I would just get a UE Boom or something if I were to do it again
Watch twice so you can say you saw it!
Watching again.
UA-cam subtitles keep saying dick instead of deck - even at my age I'm struggling not to laugh 🤦♂️
Lol!
like 560.,.,edgar.,,jajaja
You froth on saws. That's why you have so many. Like my wife froths on shoes and has about 30 pairs. 90%of which she doesnt really need😂
Handsaw addiction is real and not funny. Please attend a HAA as soon as possible please
I'm first to like 👍👍😁
builders with dovetail saws lol yep ok.
still waiting for you white man to send me a watch or even necklace
