@Jordan Sharpe this ain't it man. Idk what u tried to prove wit this comment in all honesty, but I respect that this is your opinion I just don't understand it fully cuz everybody who is black is inherently african, but as africans living in America or any country that had slaves they are considered blacks. That's is how history shaped the divide the meaning between blacks and african.
Been tryin 2 put this 1 off for a while now, but Dam had to see the Brotha 🧢Nip 1 mo time, im watchin this still in disbelief man, We All be Missin U in a Big way🙏🏿

The hood don't give damn how positive you are this is why I never cared who called me a sellout for wanting to get out of the hood and staying out, my kids have no idea where I grew up. My oldest is finishing her first year in law school and none of my kids have ever heard a gunshot in their life that was meant for another human...I love the peace and quiet of my neighborhood. RIP Nipsey.
Took me a long time to figure this out. You can waste your whole young life trying to "keep it real" with people you know/knew. We are here to achieve our full potential, and sometimes you have to leave people behind to do that. Even now I am realizing family members also, if they are going nowhere in life. Love people from a distance.
@@roddy3281, the hood isn't just where you live, it's the store, club, basketball court, school. If you have ever been to that area where he was killed, it's the hood. Being a blood he should have known the streets don't care if you're rapping now, it's still on. You're right about emotions and reacting, back in my day it was about throwing those hands so even if you did react everybody lived.
@@williammckinney9288, I couldn't agree more, once I started thinking I was worth more than just where I live, my life started to improve. I wasn't going to die over something as stupid as my "turf" that I didn't own anyway.

3yrs later, I’m still sick about Nip🥲. This man was just different in my eyes. It’s more than rap. I could listen to him speak all day. He was so humble, intellectual, and stayed dropping jewels. I hope you’re resting a little better now that, that B. A.N EH was found guilty. Rest in perfect peace 👑 💙🏁. Gone way too soon for no F’n reason 😞
I'm a female much older than Nipsey and never was a fan...but after his death, I was drawn to this video out of curiosity. As humans, we shouldn't worship each other, but we can celebrate and respect people who bring positivity, creativity and aspire to a higher purpose in life. Came to this interview, only expecting to see what all the fuss was about, and ended up watching the whole thing. May the light and the good he was bringing to his community continue to shine..Blessings to his family and friends!
Listening to his music for the first time since I wanted to at the right time and MAN.. Victory lap gets me emotional listening to what he was saying and this is an album I know will get me in A LOT of tears and that’s a rare response for me when I listen to an album generally speaking. R.I.P Nip..
They have pure respect for him. He is allowed to pause and think of what he wants to say without being cutoff or rushed. Great interview. He deserves the patience because he has a viewpoint that's admirable and beneficial to our community

Listen up this comment section is EXACTLY the reason Nipsey was assasinated can’t you tell. The government the higher ups the satanic worshipping cabal HATES people like Nip. Someone who encourages people to do better and be smarter and not just be a waste of a human. ESPECIALLY on top of all that someone they can’t control. Someone who refuses to sign to a major label so he can control everything. The music industry was shaking in their boots Nip was going to be undoubtedly the biggest thing in hip hop I garantee it. He was giving back to the hood and being a good role model to young black men which they cannot be having. They only want us to look up to killers and drug dealers. Nobody can deny this and if you do you live under a rock. Nipsey was considered a ‘Black Messiah’ to the government. If you want to be mind blown look up COINTELpro the CIAs plot to make sure there are no black messiahs better known as black saviours. This is all proven no theories here. They killed MLK and many other black leaders. US government is enemy number 1 for every single black person in America.
for what it worth from a 38 year old suburban dad. Nipsey was a true patriot, and hero. Celebrities die and I can say it didnt AEffect me at all. But his passing and the manner of it breaks my heart man. An example of what a true upstanding gentlemen is. THere is not sorrow enough that we will know of what we all lost.
Same, 36 y/o w/2 kids, biracial, in orange county, this hurts because I'm from a country that I'll never truly know or feel connected with, unlike the rest of the world (Mexico, China, Paris, Philippines etc) they have a stable country with celebrations & traditions, true sense of self and family. No other ethnicity had their identities, stolen from then and practically erased like those from Africa, only to have the world hate you, as you fall farther and farther away, and then every once and a while someone like MLK , Malcom x, Ali, Marley, Pac, and now Nipsey, will become a beacon of HOPE, and then our fallen angel loses to the evils of the world. He was a beacon of hope for change. We lost Hope, and it hurts deeply.
Prolific, so gifted. He’s the type that’s gon go get it no kiddin’. Came back for some gems and just to experience the spirit of this King. Long Live Neighborhood Nip
27:00: When he said, "Why do n*ggas get killed for hustling in front of a n*gga's spot...short stopping their grind". That is so eerie, man. Y'all gotta wake up. This man was killed in front of HIS spot making a difference in his community. How can you process that? I've been numb about this all week and now this just did it for me. I had to pause the video after seeing that. He was truly an icon in his own right. God created this man for a cause and way before his time.
It’s so sad how you don’t even know a person yet your heart can cry out in pain. A beautiful young man that had so much positivity and wanted a change in his community had his life cut short 💔💔💔💔💔
For real Taylor Renee!! Like why??! I still can’t figure it out! An unnecessary loss . The Cold part about it is that Nipsey would have probably even helped that person that shot him!

Everybody under this comment has only positive things to say, this is a sign that he has a bigger purpose than music. He is definitely a leader and definitely born with the natural skill set and ability to lead a generation like pac wanted too. If the African American community can remember he is a human being and will slip up sometimes, then i think he will fill the shoes of pac in terms of social activism and claim the throne of entrepreneurship that jay z holds within hip hop salute Nipsey!!!
3/21/2024, I’ve seen this interview about 7-8 times…I still listen to a lot of his interviews, his words are very powerful, his mindset is elite..he might’ve passed in this life but his soul will live forever
This is coming from a 56 yr old woman. This man is dope. He is very intelligent and like he said I stop smoking weed so that I am focused and not labeled while I'm touring and being around business people. That's a great look and people followed you.
lone wolfe exactly right you are. I suffer from chronic pain and I love the fact that medical marijuana helps people. But the weed that a lot of the younger generation smokes today is the strongest strain of weed on the market. That’s why the smell is so potent.

He's so much more than a rapper. Look at these comments and I haven't seen 1 comment about his music yet. That's real.
I'm glad I was alive to witness this greatness and the release of a classic album.
The album keeps sounding better and better after revisiting some of his interviews he did around the release!

Glad this interview was done and we were really able to understand his character. RIP to a stand up, intellectual, respectful boss, I don't comment often but he truly was one of a kind and is truly a dying breed with this new age bs that is overproduced.

He moves and speaks with such power and command, yet he still comes across more humble and respectful than anyone. This man is remarkable.
mrdmce I mean if the dude was gay I probably woulda had a shot. He was married to a woman though, so that wouldn’t have been realistic.
mrdmce I mean that sounds a little excessive, I don’t even listen to his music. Just think he’s an intriguing person.

Look how respectful they all are. He left the room with people talking about him positively... Without doubt a KING 💙
They were careful with what they said because they knew nipsey was really about it
The biggest thing I took from Nip was his awareness. He knew his self and where he wanted to go
@Lm No bro you a real one, hope all goes well and you flourish like you know you can 🙌🏾

Bro, this man is a fucking legend. The calmness of snoop and the determination and intellect of pac. Crazy 🫶🏼
RIP Nipsey.
I would have to agree with you , even tho I ain't from the hood
The hood is a mentality a way of thinking. It's all in the mind.

Coming from the same background like you I feel the same it really bothers me
Same, 36 y/o w/2 kids, biracial, in orange county, this hurts because I'm from a country that I'll never truly know or feel connected with, unlike the rest of the world (Mexico, China, Paris, Philippines etc) they have a stable country with celebrations & traditions, true sense of self and family.
