I haven't been here at Cave of the Mounds since I was a kid in the mid 1990's I think. I want to go back, it's less than an hour away, I just never have an excuse to go out there. I do remember that walk down from the parking lot to the visitor center, and then the walk to the cave. It has been like 25 years I believe since I've been in there, I still have an old laminated map I had up on my wall from the cave of the mounds, it is a bit wrinkled now though. The entrance going into the cave has definitely changed A LOT. It used to be very simple, you'd just walk through the door and down some stairs into the cave, but now they have the exhibits that show off the rocks and such. Though I think the decades of people going in and out of the Cave and the temperature differences and germs have probably made it look different than it used to back then, it looks different from how I remember in some ways. 5:00 I remember that little island and broken stalagtite and the very end of the cave very well, where there is a little river or stream that goes off into a section you cannot see.
I was here 3 or 4 years ago I believe and loved it. I always was interested in caves and heard nice things about this, so when my family was in the area I insisted we go. I loved it. I would like to go back. This is the only cave I ever been in. I want more!
This video is AWESOME! The drone shots are really cool. You truly captured the essence of the cave itself. The different angles show a lot of the beauty of the cave. Thanks for sharing! Glad you had a great visit!
wow

Ya it’s a little cooler inside. If you go in the summer, it will feel perfect inside.
@@LivinIt does the water drips makes us wet from top
@@universe3654 I think I only got like one or two drops of water on me. So I would say no.

How much cost the ticket
I can’t remember it’s been a min. I think around $20
$20 very short tour. But still cool something different from outside world of Wisconsin
@@edwardtinoko618 ya it was short, but its always cool to be in a big cave.
How long is the tour?
There is no guid, so it just depends on how fast you want to go. I did it in about 30min.
Him much time to go through
I did it in around 20min.
That's pretty wild 👍 I've never been to a cave that was a self guided tour 😎 How long did it take to walk through?
Ya it was pretty cool. I was on a time crunch and did the whole cave in about 20. If you took your time it would be around 30-40.
@@LivinIt cool 😎 I was thinking an hour. So I should have plenty of time 😀
@@SomeplaceOrAnother that should be plenty. It was worth the visit.
