The Health App is also buggy in ios 18 - Medications is very problematic - when you change time zones it does not revert to new zone - has to be reloaded. It worked fine in its original iteration and then Apple had to meddle with and now is all over the place! This app is too important to have bugs.
In my experience from iOS 11 all the way up to 18 it is only the latest versions for example 14.8 , 17.7 that have the greatest performance and optimization in terms of animation smoothness and overall responsiveness
Good idea. Apple seems to be spreading itself too thin lately, so treat it more like Microsoft and wait a month after a new patch to see that it’s stable before updating your device.
Just got a M4 IPad Pro and the only way it would let me use my back up was to install 18.1 beta 5. I was worried that it was gonna brick my new iPad but so far so good.

Over the last few days - using my new airpod 4 appliance with the beta tvos 18.01 --about 10 - 15 minutes into a streaming video, the audio is garbles and then the audio disappears completely only when using the airpods. Without them, the audio is fine.
I hope they release a beta next week I’ve got an annoying bug I’ve reported where the screen will go blank with a loading circle in the middle then it takes me back to the Lock Screen

iOS 18.0.1 didn't resolved two of my issues: 1. Universal Clipboard doesn't work as used to work and 2. iCloud card requires complete safari restart to update. It used to change on the spot.

Another software issue that has been there since before iOS 18 but iOS 18 is the big culprit is losing Dolby atmos on the Apple TV. There is a massive thread on the apple community page but apple doesn’t seem to care to fix this codex problem on the Apple TVs.

I installed ios 18.0.1 on my 16 pro, and since then I can't change the depth on the camera app. Every time I change the aperture, it crashes immediately when pressing the shutter button. That was never an issue prior to 18.0.1 Edit: Just tested it again and issue is seemingly gone
I turned off the capture button in settings on my 16 pro max, but when I have the camera open I am still able to press the button and use it to adjust the controls or take a photo, why is that ? I thought when turned off in settings it would be completely turned off, but I guess all it does is disable the option to press the button to open the camera.

The battery drain issues on my Ultra Watch 2 was intense. I thought I had a battery health problem but it kept saying 100% so I was like ok the watch has to have a problem then... I talked to Apple about it and was told a fix was in the works (included in this update you talk about). So glad they fixed it. It was dropping 50% in a day even with the screen turned off most of the day. It also kept losing my Home Kit shortcuts and I would have to reboot it to get them working again.

Another, hopefully bug, I’m experiencing is that on my iPad Pro M4, the indicator that shows recommended burst photos is no longer a dot but a tiny sliver I can barely see even in accessibility zoom. My iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn’t seem to show the recommended burst photo indicator at all, though does still vibrate when moving to it. I am on iOS 18.0.1 on both devices. Has anyone else experienced these?
I feel like so many of Apples bugs are due to the fact that they’ve been so late to the game with innovating or even just implementing basic features. Like lately I’m getting the same vibe as the growing pains we experienced back on Android in the early 2010s.
IOS18 The inferior Photos app navigation, videos in the Photos app no longer appear on full screen when you select them. Instead, tapping a video gives you a smaller view of it, and then you have to tap it again to open in full screen, kindly suggest me for the same ..
I think as far as the Siri animation is concerned in 18.1 you only get the new animation if your device is set up for AI. I have the 18.1 beta on an iPhone 13, but that will never get AI so I still get the old animation. I also have an iPad Pro which will get AI but at the moment only if I switch to US English. If I do I get the new animation but if I switch to UK English I get the old one.
From advertising AI as a main selling point of the new phones and not having it at release, to all these bugs from adding the most barebones of customisation features, to a decently well engineered button that’s needlessly limited because apple likes to force you to use your stuff their way. Really feel like someone needs to get fired, and I have been using only Apple products for years now. There’s a clear lack of proper direction and it’s evident with the sales and other brands catching up and even overtaking many of the aspects Apple used to be unequivocal leaders in.
I’m hoping the 11th gen iPad has decrase in the introductory price but I’m doubt it, I’m looking into getting a 10th gen so that will probably get a price decrease. Unless I’m just wrong which is a possibility 😂

My battery is horrendous and my phone shuts off probably 10 times a day
My screen is still becoming unresponsive specially in the music app even after updating to 18.01

iPadOS made my iPad 9's battery worse. It used to last all day and all night but now it dies around 1:30 AM.
