We have been getting used to riding pow condition, because we grow up in Hokkaido, Japan. Nothing special skills. But, we like all-mountain -freestyle boards, such a Custom, Custom-X, and X-FV.
cool video! i'm currently riding a burton custom FV from 2013. Mostly ride on piste. Will I notice a big difference if i go for this board youre riding in the video?
@@mojane95 I'm 183 cm 68 kg, and I wear size 9.5 boot size. Should I get 154W? I was deciding between 154W and 158, but I wanna focus more on freestyle.
@@bonkusias It's difficult question. It's depends on your skill and your home mountain. My spec is almost same with you. I chose 158. Because I would like to ride more powder, of course with freestyle.
@@mojane95 ah nice! No I mean, did you slide your bindings as far back close to the tail (to get float)? Or close to the center is ok and you'll still float on powder?
@@dancedricarevalo699 Oh yeah, Sorry made mistake. You mean, We say " set back" . this position almost center , but little bit forward to tail. If you could float on powder using this board, this mean "you can get good skills". This is not powder board, Freestyle board. anything you can do on MTN.
Hi, thank you for the message. It's depends on what you need. Custom is more AMT free ride, Process is more park style. I really like 21-22 Custom, cause engraved "RIDE ON JAKE" .

Mojane, please, I need advice if Custom Flying V or CustomX Flying V is better for an 80kg skilled shred-dad with 27 year experience. Riding mostly pow or piste-side features. No big park. Used the TRS boards 157 from a company near Canada for the last 10 years and want to switch to Burton. Please advice. Thank.
CUSTOM-X FV is better for you, I think. You have some experience, you will be able to use board response when ollie or something. Also it has strong stability.

@@keithatkinson OK, you seems good windsurfer, don't be nervous about Camber. you sure, Flying-V is easy compare with Camber. The point is what you want. Powder floating(FV) or smooth carving(Camber)?
This and your website review were great! I rode a custom 14 years ago and I’ve been riding a Hometown hero 156. Looking to pick up a new Custom in 158 next season!
How is it compared to to Hometown hero? Been considering adding that to my quiver but since I already have the custom I'm considering that they are too similar.
@@dtdaun you know, it’s hard to pick a favourite. It’s a little bit snappier and direct, but doesn’t float as well in deeper snow. The pop is noticeably increased, but at this point I can’t say it’s a better replacement. Part of me misses the surfy feel of the HTH, but I don’t miss the lack of edge hold.
Please more of this board, just got one today and so hyped! No one else is riding it and this guy is so sickkk

CUSTOM20-21の型落ちや他の板もどうなのかな・・・と悩んでましたが、
21-22のCUSTOMにするしかないんじゃないかって思ってきました(笑)

初めまして。ブログの記事とこの動画でCustom camber 156cmの購入を決定しました!!!個人的には２年目のシーズンに18-19のCustomを試乗してターン性能とグリップの良さにびっくりしたのですが、そのころからさらに良くなっていると考えてよろしいでしょうか？

@@mojane95 すいません、回答ありがとうございます。自分148cmの2016年モデルのカスタムのってるのですが、体重がアップしてしまい、買おうか悩んでたところなんです。あまり経験者ではなく詳しいこと分からないのですが有効エッジで見たら150ほぼドンピシャだったので、、だけど今乗ってるカスタムでターンすると怖い？現象があったので長めの板でもいいのかな？とか思ったりして説明下手ですいません、単に2cmの差でカービングが148より安定した感じも得られるのかなと思いまして説明下手ですいません。
@@ブロッコリー-c3f ご自身の体重とスタンス幅、そしてライディングスタイル・・・いろんなバランス保つのは難しいですよね。CUSTOMはフリースタイルのど真ん中にありながら、的を得ようとすると、ピント合わせに集中してしまい、本来の目的を見失ってしまう方も多いです。 近年のボードはREFポジションで性能を発揮するボードが多い様に感じます。(THE CHANNELでありながらの矛盾を感じています) 僕もあまりREFからは離さない様にセッティングはしています。ただ、REFもしっかり測ってみると表記とは多少の誤差がありますので、2~3cmなら許容範囲だと思います。 しかしながら、自分の想像よりも少し大きなボードに乗った事がないならば、そちらを選んでみたほうが良いです。そして北海道に滑りに来ましょう。いろんな事がわかってくると思います。

人にもよりますが、道具に身を任せられる、リラックスした滑りであれば、CUSTOM-Xの方が楽に乗れると考えます。ただ”モノ”としてみたときに、CUSTOMの方が簡単な乗り味でしょう。

@@dtdaun to answer your question, I think the HTH is different enough, especially if you are opting for a bigger size for riding powder.
