I love this! I've been trying to find some signature jewelry pieces, so thank you for sharing those resources. I don't think I'll ever have a single signature perfume, but I do gravitate toward certain notes and vibes in my burgeoning collection of indie perfume so that almost counts? 😆If you haven't tried the Nui Cobalt apple note yet, Apple Picking is available in the current Autumn collection and it's one of the best apple perfumes I've ever smelled. (You might like the apple blossom in Pixie too, while it's still available!)
Oh I met Nui Cobalt! I never knew which I should pick but I would absolutely take Apple Picking into consideration because that sounds lovely 🖤 And I'm glad you enjoyed the jewelry portion! I think collecting by choosing those that signify important moments really have made a difference
Call me basic but my signature shoes are converse. Especially the high tops. I already loved them and felt really cool in elementary school. Back then I had red ones with white polca dots and I got much attention because of them :D I tried other sneakers but I always come back to converse, they feel truly me...
This is so inspiring! As a teenage punk/goth I really relied on signature everything but as an adult forgot them altogether and started to feel really bad about myself 😨 Now I just must decide my current signature things and stick to them 💪🏻
I started binging your old vids and gurl, let me tell you, you're becoming a life saver: I have to wear glasses, but it never crossed my mind the color season/shape part. Thank you very much for your insights and suggestions 🥰
@@silkymochi ooooh 😍 this seems super cool! I feel very lucky, because one of my goals for 2024 was to step up my style game, and you're really helping me so thank you💜. Do you also plan in the future to give some advices on how to blend different essence?
I wear moonstone, mother of pearl, and selenite, vintage moon glow clip on earrings because I love things that refract light because I feel they bring protection, they bring the attention to you and it starts conversation. Gourmand, fig and coconut scents work best. I wear neon orange glasses that glow because it brings color to my face and makes my lips look full of color.
Listening to all of this makes me realize I do have quite a lot of signature pieces already. I did lose track of my own style several times during the past, mainly because I tried to nail everything perfectly (Kibbe, my seasonal color palette, my essence blend, my conventional body type etc.) without realizing that all I already did was reasonable and did match my true self. I do have a certain aesthetic and overall it already matches everything but my seasonal color palette (I could go for my darkest colors and darkest neutrals, which I already do but I still wear lots of black). What I found funny though: When thinking about style in terms of my rising sign (Gemini), the thing that fits the most is the recommendation to wear short hair (pixie cut) which has been my signature hairstyle for several years now (I wear my hair short for over 20 years now, but the type of pixie I wear now was always too daring for me until a few years ago and ever since I always come back to it). I do have a specific style I love in sunglasses (and glasses), hats, bags, shoes, I do have a few signature perfumes that I wear all the time, I always wear the same (type of) jewelry and I can definitely see how it makes sense after learning about all the style tools (such as Kibbe, Kitchener and SCA), even if I do not stick to my color palette, the look I go for still makes sense because I like edgy looks and looking edgy or grungy is super easy for me, being a light spring. I actually mainly wanted to learn about all these things to understand myself a bit better and the journey was wild and often times very confusing. My essence blend makes the most sense to me tbh because it actually showcases not only my body shape, my Kibbe ID and my aesthetics, but also feels like a perfect match for my sun sign - rising sign combination. I remember when one time I had only torn and worn out shoes for winter, so I knew I had to buy a few new pairs and it was so easy to pick something because I ultimately knew exactly what I wanted. If my wardrobe burnt down, I knew exactly what to get first. And I somehow neglected that "at home" feel for quite a while now. It's funny how trying to curate your style can actually throw you off track first before it all merges to one cohesive and full picture. I initially was just a bit bored with my wardrobe and that lead to 7+ years of trying to figure out what was wrong with my style, just to learn: nothing really, I just had too many pieces that weren't in my actual style and didn't know how to incorporate them. The answer is just super simple: not at all, those were exactly the pieces that needed to leave and find a better home. One sentence you said in another video also rang a bell for me. That one about designing clothes with a muse in mind, someone you wanna design for. Since I do sew myself and create my own sewing patterns too, I am actually "designing" for myself. And that sentence of yours has a really remarkable influence on how I perceive the way I choose clothes, lines, fabrics and cuts. Because yes, I choose them for myself and not for anybody else. Thank you, you're really inspiring on a level that truly speaks to the pieces of me that never get reached by a lot of other people.
I feel you so much on this!! This made me realize that I'm punishing myself by not getting the pieces I need for my wardrobe. It's guilt for all the stuff I've bought that didn't work. I went through that long, experimental process and drifted a few times. The way you phrased it was great, those clothes ended up in the right home. The failed experiments are why I have such a good grasp on myself now. Anyway, thank you for the insight! 🔮💖
my signature ring is the filigree gold and garnet piece I got for graduation instead of a class ring I knew I'd wear maybe a year then lose/stop wearing. Signature necklace is a silver filigree amethyst pendant that my Nana got me at a renaissance faire, and I like to mix Versace: Crystal Noir with Eilish for my signature scent!
AISHIFY made me my custom perfume from the anime characters I remind everyone of. I incorporated what I consider my inner child, my current self, and my future self. My guy is obsessed with it. 😂
@silkymochi you're welcome!🖤 it took a bit to get it in, plus I ordered a bunch of anime themed scents for fun lol, but she is soooo worth it!!! The price is very reasonable too!
I found a couple of indie perfume recommendation channels on Tiktok ages ago and it's been murder on my wallet but, I can say my perfume signature is you never know what I'll smell like that day because it could be anything from blood and smoke notes to the soapiest brightest musk 😌jewelry and bags feels too overwhelming but essentially the only shoes I wear and own are doc martens platform sandals (I took a black permanent marker to any hint of yellow) and combat boots that I sort of need to replace because moisturize your leather!
I love your variety in perfumes! And agreed, our signature pieces are unique to us and we dont have to participate in everything - like I dont really invest in a lot of makeup & I only wear the same jewelry everyday but thats what makes us our unique selves 🖤
This def gives me something to think about because I buy jewelry a little too willy-nilly. I think since I'm Catholic, I'm gonna start taking my inspiration from that. I'm very obsessed with Mary Magdalene and Our Lady of Sorrows and a motif of the latter is the heart with 7 swords going through it which is honestly gorgeous for a necklace and it will fit in perfectly with my aesthetic and also I'll be a good Catholic I guess ha!
I absolutely love that, Catholic inspired pieces are stunning like the variety of reosaries, cathedral shaped rings and everything you mentioned! Plus because its personal to you all the more you should run with that 🖤
Can you do a video on how to create an edgy, GRUNGE, sexy, romantic look for Soft Dramatics? Including hairstyles. I’m aware as a soft dramatic we have to use romantic clothing to help our style but I’m low-key struggling because I really love the grungy, edgy aesthetic, wanting to look my sexiest while doing it. Us unconventional SD girls would appreciate the help 🖤
pearls are so timeless! there's a place in nyc called Pearl & the Beast and you get to "farm" your own pearls and make jewelry out of it then and there - but I hope you get your signature pearl bracelet fixed soon :(
Lvnea is an amazing perfume brand that’s all natural and a lot of it has a forest scent to it. My two go-tos are Peche Obscene- rainy forest with peach, and Rose Fantome- soft natural rose. For jewelry you might actually like Bloodmilk Jewels, they have a lot of gorgeous pieces that are dark and “witchy” without feeling costume-y if styled right. The one I’ve worn everyday for years is the Mourning Eye 🤍✨
Loved your glasses! They look perfect for you! I’ve been on my perfume journey for several years now and came across zoologist through the fragrance community I’m part of. I looovveee thier designs but I’ve yet to purchase one. My fav was the mouse bc it’s such a distinguished dapper looking little guy! Soooo cute!!!
Thank you so much! And yes their illustrations are the cutest! They're perfumes are quite pricey and there's so many great perfumes out there I understand you gotta make sure its the right one for you

My signature shoes have been hi top classic vans since I was 12.. I am 36 now.

I love Zoologist Cow! Their Harvest Mouse scent is my current favorite. It is so cozy and Fall-like. :)
The harvest mouse was so tempting because of how autumnal it sounded!
