This is amazing and I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! Sorry to yell, but I've been following for a while and am working on building my own art biz as well (very slowly, but we're getting there). This is beyond inspiring and just makes me super hopeful for both of us, honestly. Thank so much you for sharing your journey

Congrats on the new space and the growth of your practice. For the banding issue, try to light the space behind you with a studio light or rebound the light off the wall or with a diffuser. Ideally you turn the overhead lights off completely and only use 2-3 studios lights and/or natural light when filming yourself. Think of your space like a production set where all light has to be controlled.

Congratulations on the studio! I'll definitely keep watching to see how the assembly process progresses. Looking forward to more updates!
As for banding problem In USA, you use NTSC system, so the camera's frame rate needs to be set at 30fps or multiples of 30 (like 60fps). In contrast, Europe we use the PAL system, with frame rates of 25fps or 50fps to match the different frequency of electricity.
To eliminate banding, it's important to use shutter speed values that are also multiples of 30. For example, if shooting at 30fps, the shutter speed should be set at 1/60; if shooting at 60fps, the shutter speed should be set at 1/120. This helps to synchronize the camera's capture with the electrical flicker. If you need to close the shutter speed it should be in multiples of 30 too.
I've encountered similar issues with my iPhone when shooting under artificial lighting here in Spain, as it defaults to 30fps and we can't change it for a long time, only using external apps, it was really frustrating.
I hope I explain it well and that helps!

I am SO excited for you and your new studio space!! Pretty soon I’ll be moving house and will have the pleasure of this same kinda thing; having my own room and getting to set up an art space to work in. And now I’m definitely realising I need to go through all my supplies and downsize a bit. 😅

Hey i wanted to ask you about your flexispot desk. I am looking to get my very first art desk and due to back pain i want a standing desk. But ive heard that flexispot is not that good. How has your experience been? I don't know if you've been sponsored by them but you can let me know that. 😅

there's a hall bathroom in the building that's super close by, but alas no sink or bathroom in the room itself!!

the loud music and quiet talking is offputting to say the least. I had to run back into my room (went to get something) and quickly turn down the volume because I set it based on the loudness of your voice and it just was like beating up my speakers with the difference in loudness. Can you omit music or learn to regulate it properly because I like seeing art videos.

oops my bad! normally that doesn't happen in vids, but every once in a while an editing mistake slips through!
