The landlord must have been so embarrassed to have a ceiling collapse on a tenant. I hope the landlord paid for your new bedding and mattress. In a way, it was good you had not put out your figurines yet. They might have gotten broke when the ceiling collapsed.
That’s what renters insurance is for! Hes a damn good landlord for fixing it that quick. I lived with a caved in ceiling for over a year before having to break my lease. Was a beautiful apartment too just not a good landlord!

Nailed the esthetic you're going for 😆 one thing I'd recommend for your safety is to put some privacy window film on your window since it could be easy to see you from the outside 😢 there're even sun catcher ones that cast rainbows! Hi Stella, your room is cute. I would recommend moving the shelves about 18 inches away from the bed. It would give you room to make the bed/ change the bedding easier and it would be safer if you had to get out of bed in a hurry. The cat wearing the chip bag figurine is so adorable.😊❤

thanks for the point about having a comfortable space even if you're not going to stay in it for long. I've never had a cosy bedroom space which I felt like I had decorated for myself. As a child, my room was functional, and then I've spent over a decade moving at least once a year, if not more. This is the first time since I started moving that I've been in a place for more than one year, but I'm still treating it as functional and temporary, because initially I didn't know if I was going to stay, and by now I'm living in the knowledge that I'm going to have to find another place to live in six months time, so it still doesn't feel worth trying. But if I keep living like this, I will spend half my life in functional but uncomfortable temporary accommodation. At least if I decorated maybe it wouldn't feel quite so temporary

This is so cute! This video really resonated with me because I too have moved like once a year since high school- so literally about 15 times. I have been in my current place for a few years now and have yet to make it feel cozy and my own (even tho I now own my place) because I think I’m Stuck in that “I’ll just be moving again soon anyway” mindset (maybe also because it’s an actual tiny home and I know it’s not my forever home). Love it! so cute!💛 Don't know if duvet covers are common where you live, but in Scandinavia / Sweden aka. IKEA everyone puts covers on the duvet so that we don't need to wash the whole thing every week / two weeks / month. Makes life a bit easier and ikea has some great options, either colorful or white so on. I know at least in America a lot of people wash the whole comforter and wait for that whole thing to dry. Washing the duvet too often can lead to the feathers inside clumping together and faster deteriorating, so much better for the longevity of the product to have a cover. Just a tip from a scandinavian. Love from Norway

Don't know if duvet covers are common where you live, but in Scandinavia / Sweden aka. IKEA everyone puts covers on the duvet so that we don't need to wash the whole thing every week / two weeks / month. Makes life a bit easier and ikea has some great options, either colorful or white so on.
I know at least in America a lot of people wash the whole comforter and wait for that whole thing to dry. Washing the duvet too often can lead to the feathers inside clumping together and faster deteriorating, so much better for the longevity of the product to have a cover.
Just a tip from a scandinavian.
