And here she asks the person she’s chosen to trust, her lover, the one person she knows she can count on, to stay with her til the end. There’s no happy ending for her, she knows that. And I think she knows that it would fuck the player up hard to have to watch her die. It’s the most selfish thing she does in the game, and the most human. She’s afraid to die, but with the player there? She can soldier through it. God damn, it fucking hurts me.

@@shatterlux part of her story is that her former “boss” sold her to Zariel, the ruling arch demon of avernus, she then installed an infernal engine as Karlach’s heart, and because of that she can’t be away from the hells for long or she will burn…
I think for a romance with her being a dark urge is best as (if you are resisting it) she has some amazing moments with you and wanting to help her through it like you did her
I know I'm weird for playing a premade character, but Wyll is also a really good fit. The enemies to lovers arc is great, and she gives her support when Mizora is pulling his strings just like Zariel did to her.
I heard that technically this Karlach ending, AFAIK the best one in game, is actually considered a "bad ending" by original standards of the game; supposedly there was to be the entire Upper City division of Baldurs Gate that would be explorable, and would hold the key to truly fixing Karlach's engine, allowing her to stay in Faerun. However, because this area was cut, so too was the method of fixing Karlachs engine as possibly hinted at by the Steelwatch, given that they are all made of infernal iron & alloy akin to Karlach's engine. Most likely one of the gnomes, should they be rescued, would have been the smith for this area, given their... plentiful experience working with infernal iron and alloy.
Act 3 is just bad. I thought I could save Karlach because of the foundry, but nope. I hated how the ending is done. I just want an ending where everybody is happy before I do a "everybody is gonna have the worst ending" run.
You missed a part of her dialoge, after the love making in act 2, you can say i love you to her in the morning and she get really happy and excitid. It feels so reall Best part in my opinion. Karlach is the best wifey!!!
In my head canon they live happly ever after in Averenus at Raphael old estate after killing him with Dark Urge slaying demons in his spare time like a Doom guy. 😊

See, what you youngins are experiencing is called emotional wood. Karlach is so starved of touch and intimate contact but never lets us truly despair for her. She is such a kindhearted person that we will kill a god just so she can get hugs. Women always say that it's the emotional aspects that truly gets them going, now you too feel this. Just from seing this and knowing her backstory, you don't just want to give just a quickie. You want to give her the full package with touch, lots of foreplay, physical teasing, and blow her back repeatedly and for way more than just two minutes. She deserves to be pleasured in every way possible. Tell me I'm wrong....

There was, until they ended having to cut it out. A lot of cut content that really nicely wraps the story up was cut before launch. Who knows why, but most people are expecting a Definitive edition where they add it back in.

I made this mistake myself today. Was romancing Astarion but wanted to be good good friends with Karlach. After saying this and leaving it be, if you romance someone else they will notice your romantic relationship with Karlach. When talking to Astarion afterwards I had to ensure him to either stop the romance between him and me, or break up with Karlach.

A lot of it. Supposedly there are datamined files of Withers gathering the party 6 months later for an epilogue. Karlach herself was added late into development so I imagine she's missing some scenes too. She's not even on the game's box art@@ajxx9987

@@heyjoji1954 Yeah the facts the very specific looking forge in Dammon's workshop in Act 3 exists and does nothing (he also as a line of dialogue that keeps popping up even after you've already selected it as if it is supposed to lead to something yet does not) AND the fact we can gather a lot of infernal iron from Steel Watchers but do nothing with it besides sell it OR even the fact you can grab a second piece of Infernal Marble from Helsik's room and yet not put it to use

I’d say Astarion is (who I’m romancing) but at least it kind of makes sense? Since he is trying to manipulate you so ofc things would move unrealistically fast, it’s the only one I can make sense of, romance is indeed very on the nose and blunt in its approach lol

Hello, when I was at ending in didn’t have the option for going with her in Avernus, it was Will who go with Her. What I miss ?
When you let Wyll save his father by signing the contract again, he overrides this option.
She does have a great personality but it would be so good if the writing for her were more complete. A dinner date? Really?
