That’s amazing. I thought, like you, that it swiveled side to side opposite of the boat motion. Now I’m going to have to look at some more info. Really fascinating and thanks for explaining! I was wondering.
Thank you Sir! (I consider myself a "Nerd", but The real physics behind gyroscopic stabilization are not intuitive, and it took me some time to fully understand it!)
Thanks Chris, great explanation. Two questions from here: does Seekeeper work on batteries? I am talking about the yacht being anchored at a cala in Spain and working silently while the people are at sleep? Second, precisely that.... is it a silent mechanism ? Cheers from Spain

Thank you! (The physics are complicated!)
Very interesting Chris! It helps to understand the whole concept! Very helpful!
Thank you for the feedback Dany! I always appreciate when viewers provide feedback that can help make my channel better....
Brilliant explanation - Thanks!

Saying it’s complicated sounded a lot like “I don’t understand the physics well enough to explain it” 😂😂😂 but thanks for the demo
Agreed! I did a lot of reading on gyroscopic physics; but wasn't exactly clear. It's like gravity - seems simple, but it's not!

Hi Jaime; The Seakeeper does not work on batteries, it requires the generator to be running....
Hi, do you think a catamaran 60 feet need such stabilizer? or better need two side by side?
Catamarans are inherently stable, which is a large part of the appeal of the catamaran design. Stabilization is typically not needed.
Would it work on my RV 😅 keeping it from rocking at night
I'm going to contact the Seakeeper factory RE: that application! ;-)
How much does it weigh?
