2 Months in Europe's UNHAPPIEST Country 🇪🇺

- The title of this UA-cam video is not one I love. As we have been traveling the world for the past 2 and a half years we have heard rumors and stereotypes about many of the countries we have visited. But there was a shocking trend that we discovered as we researched our 24th country. It was the Unhappiest. According to a eurostat report, in 2015, it ranked the lowest in the European Union in life satisfaction. By 2022, things still hadn't gotten better. It ranked at the bottom of the happiness index from the global economy .com. So as we toured the country for two months, we decided to chat with the locals here to see how cheerful the people were. This is Europe's Unhappiest country.

Seriously had no idea Bulgaria was #1 in EU on this ranking. That theatre and sunset, absolutely stunning. Guys - that pinky jersey with the number 10 of Messi is the best, viva Miami! You guys exploring markets are the incredible. Will glad you found that patch, I'm a bit behind on this now, missed a few on some trips, will need to buy online haha. Beautiful drone shots of the city and people don't seem so "unhappy" at the end. Love the breaking stereotypes approach, keep up the amazing work and belated happy birthday!
We had no idea either until we started to do our research. The theatre was amazing. So happy we finally got to see a show in a place like that. Messi #1. Can image it was a little tough in to find the patches in some of the areas you have been in lately. Thanks about drone shots! We certainly could not back up the data about how the people were unhappy. Thanks Ale!
At 14:30 when the classical music played showing the old town and ruins I could put that on repeat and I could take a nap.. it was relaxing all the way around lol

Sunset was incredible! Totally different from any other backdrop we have ever had for sunset. We're really starting to collect countries. It makes us very happy.

I think we’d be happy there! The prices are so much cheaper than here and it looks clean and picturesque, sunsets for days, what’s not to like! The show looked amazing, what an experience. You guys look so happy. Wine in draft? Bizarre concept. I’ve actually been to Nessebar back in my cruise ship days. I don’t remember much about it, but I remember it was cheap!! It was nice to see it again. Varna looked like a beautiful place too. Cheers guys and keep on exploring. 🍻
Ya'll seem happy everywhere! Prices are certainly good for tourists in Bulgaria. We really enjoyed Bulgaria. That's why we were there 2 months. You saw quite a lot during your cruising days! Varna was a pleasant surprise. Thanks friends! 🍻

Wow I didn't realise Bulgaria is the unhappiest country in Europe! The show at the Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis looked spectacular, as did the sky before the show started! Nice to see the fountains with some water in, they were all dry when I visited! Love the beer in the vending machine - don't tell the kids! I really like the look of Nessebar with the old ruins and friendly shops. Was that an impression or did Borat deliver a few lines for this video? I swear it was him!! All the way to Bulgaria to see the world's oldest gold and it's in Chi-town all along - that's nothing but rotten luck! I think I spotted my next car at the end there... great video!
Most countries have some kind of label, but that is not a good one. At least we disproved the data. That was a perfect night for a show. Have you been to a performance in an ancient theatre? That was our first one. Fountains without water is like a day without sunshine. We did have Borat in the video, but since he didn't show his face, we didn't have to pay him anything! At least I have a new bucket-list item for when we return to the States! You would have a ball; luxury car shopping in Bulgaria. Thanks friend!

Greetings from a Plovdiv resident :) Thank you for a great video and showing a different side to our small and beautiful, but usually underlooked country.
We do have internal troubles and baggage from the eastern bloc times that does make many people unhappy, however there are plenty nice and happy ones as well (some of which you have shown in the video) and I hope they will continue increasing with time and both us Bulgarians and foreigners be it expats or tourists can appreciate the country more and more.

Funny one of my cousins got a thing he does when he sees people over doing it, kissing in public. He walks up behind them and say “ oh yea dems the good kiss’s “ in like this really childish playful voice with this huge smile on his face. 😂😂😂 the 3 times I’ve seen him do it the people automatically stopped and just walked away embarrassed.

In 2013-2019 yes. But i dont find that people in bulgaria are unhappier than in germany. I really liked it.

Just to point out that we bulgarians are not UNHAPPY, as in living gloom lives. Like we in general like to complain about everything and anything, so whenever people are asked if they're happy with their situation, most people would say "No". That does not mean we're not happy in general, lmao :D Then you have Finnish people who are claimed to be the happiest, yet for some reason they look gloomier even, lol. I just can't take this ranking seriously :D
