      The way the human body works, you are supposed to completely avoid any calories and caffeine for the first 90 minutes after you wake up. then you should eat a very low calorie and mixed food group meal (so basically do not have any american breakfast dish, as they are way overloaded in either carbs or animal products or both) eating some lighter but cooked whole foods is better.
      like fish carrots and green beans with a small amount of rice, or maybe air fried red potato, and a small glass of real fruit juice. total meal should be small / low calorie. like 25% of your daily cals. then have 42% at lunch, 33% at dinner.

    I absolutely can’t skip breakfast. My most favourite meal of the day. Sometimes i go to sleep excited of what i am going to have in the morning

      @@samkhan_real Working out isn't painful. Recovery is better than getting sore and pumped from a workout. I don't know what workouts you doing but you're need to recover first then workout. To get the best gains possible, Good luck 👑

    i agree, i always feel a lil nauseous when i eat in the morning too. The first hour of work after i eat breakfast is normally terrible after eating breakfast

      its because you over ate and just sitting around. you need to work off the big meal you just ate. every time I eat a big meal then go to bed I always wake up with too much gas and bad back and belly pain from the food just sting then as well as gas.

      ​@@tortiabobiaI couldn't eat breakfast as a kid, now I love it. I realized that I was overeating with late dinners and couldn't digest it all till morning, hence the feeling of nausea. Now I do the opposite, even skip dinner sometimes and I wake up nicely hungry.

      @@gingerwhite1413 It's a whole topic and I don't think they can explain it in a short vid. But, biologically, everyone is built different, so you gotta try for yourself, your body will tell you what it wants. Some people do excellent with big breakfast and smaller lunch and dinners, some people do good on empty stomach in the morning, some people even eat just a big dinner and nothing throughout the day.

      @@gingerwhite1413 I’m no nutritionist so take what I know with a grain of salt but I do know the basics. So everyone uses food for energy but the way people do it differs and will differ based on your diet. High carbs and sugar give good energy spikes(good for breakfasts and snacks) but burn fast and high proteins and fat give a more consistent slow burn of the energy and why you see it more in lunches and dinners. Add in other food groups that aid with digestion like fibers and vegetables can change how your body takes those other foods too, hydration also plays a part to some degree. But overall some people will literally not be able to function properly without breakfast and then there’s people like me where I need like 2 bottles of water and 3 hours before I can eat anything or else my body tells me not to eat

    I almost never eat breakfast, unless I’m on vacation or something. Makes it completely impossible to work in the morning, it just crashes me!

      Gotta eat a healthier breakfast. I think the common breakfast foods are actually the words for breakfast besides eggs. Instead of bacon and biscuits go for some chicken or something else that's filling but not too carb dense so it doesn't make you lethargic.

      Lol but skipping brekafast does keep your blood sugar levels down as well as blood pressure. For me, I'm less focused after eating breakfast because I always take a "break" after eating and just not doing that makes me focus on the work until I get too hungry and I need to eat.

    I workout in the mornings and absolutely can't skip breakfast, otherwise I feel lightheaded and sluggish. Usually have 4 eggs and some oatmeal with berries and protein powder

    nothing fucks my stomach up more than a breakfast, I need at least three hours after waking up to have appetite and space

      Breakfast makes me feel bleh. Plus, as much as I am a fan of bacon, I am not really a fan of eggs. Or cereal.

    Breakfast imo is the most important meal as it helps give me all the energy I need to go through the day, so if I need to eat less I just skip lunch

      Having a full stomach interferes with focus so not a good idea for studying or anything like that that's typically practiced in the morning
      It's also just too much food in general unless you're a vegan

    You technically can’t skip breakfast. The first thing you eat in the day is considered breakfast no matter what, it’s the food that’s allowing you to break your overnight fast. You just eat yours later in the day, and don’t eat the typical breakfast foods. You’re skipping lunch

    I thought I was the only one but I absolutely feel like you on this one; whenever I have breakfast I feel bloated and even sleepier for the whole morning. Plus, when I consistently skip breakfast I start losing weight, feeling lighter and better all-round, yet I don't feel any hungrier at lunchtime.

      Almost the same 🙂 I am vegan and I am on fasting 5-19. I get up every day at 4:00 and have "breakfast" at 11.00. For my breakfast I eat only fresh fruits. My last meal is at 14:30. When I was teenager I ate breakfast every morning at 6-7 AM and I was fat, always bloated, hungry without energy. Now, I have huge amount of energy. I am slim and I have enough power to run marathon every Sunday 🙂 so, traditional breakfas is not god for everyone 🙂

      I can skip breakfast, i usually prefer to. But I do notice a drop in productivity. Also if I skip breakfast I often have a heavyish lunch, and tend to be sluggish afterwards.

      No, there's just to much to do during the day and myself personally like to enjoy my food and not have to think about accomplishing a task or being slowed down by being full. I picked it up about after five years of building steel buildings, we had an hour for lunch and I'd rather just chill out of the elements and take an actual break instead of spending time and effort driving. Making your own lunch takes away from time In the morning and is just wasted time. The three meals a day gimmick is to sell food, you get way more then the daily amount of calories by eating a large meal early in the evening. Who really has time to plan and prepare or travel and buy three meals a day? That's hours of time you could be spending with friends or family, learning a new hobby or just taking care of life responsibilities or even plan a vacation. Anything besides be fixated on food. Enjoy your food, don't let it consume your life😎

    I like breakfast food… for dinner. I too haven’t eaten breakfast for over 10 years, I’m just not hungry in the morning and water then coffee are more important to me 😅 I also think it’s why I’ve been able to maintain my weight… I feel heavy and bloated and tired and sluggish when I have breakfast. I only eat breakfast on holidays if I’m staying with family who make it for everyone.

    I think lunch is the meal I always end up skipping! Gotta have breakfast or I can’t focus on my tasks for the day and then I’m all hungry in the evening for a nice dinner!

      This exactly, I like lunch but it’s not essential for me. I like a mid morning breakfast, snack around 2pm and dinner around 6/7pm. Works perfect for me, never eating when I’m not hungry but not starving myself either

    i find my entire day is worse when i don’t eat breakfast, it just fills me with noticeably more energy and kick starts my day. and like, if i don’t eat breakfast, my energy i do have feels groggy for the rest of the day

      dude I feel that. I work at 8 am so I wake up at 7-7:15. I am NOT waking up at 6:45 just for food it’s just not worth it 🤣 my boyfriend always laughs when I tell him I’ll make us breakfast before work because he knows I’m not going to get up. I only eat BF on some of my days off

      When I was a kid, I never had breakfast for like all of my junior school years. I start to have my breakfast when I was in high school. I know that kind of feeling when you suddenly need to eat your breakfast because you HAVE TO, like when I was a kid my parents forced me to have it because we will go to have a long trip to somewhere. You feel sick after you had it, feeling wanna puke and super uncomfy (in my country it's even worse because we usually start with heavy breakfast, like some rice along with side dishes.) But my body adjusted to it and now feels like I cant skip my breakfast ever again.

In a situation like that, I feel like it’s either because you’re eating something that doesn’t sit well with you or your appetite is too small and you’re eating too much. I used to skip meals because of image issues, but even when I got over them I never got back my appetite to eat. It took me years to go from one meal a day to at least eating 3, smaller, meals a day. I’m not one to force my views on someone, but I really do recommend at least eating a fruit or slice of bread in the morning, just a small snack. Of course, this is on the basis that your mornings are as busy as mine. If your mornings are calm and you don’t mind waiting 5 hours to eat then you do you.

      The food was alright
      It always was just a simple sandwich
      I could Have gotten sick from that because I was eating a sandwich for breakfast for years
      But now I still don't know why but I feel more energetic when I don't eat a breakfast
      I'm usually not hungry until lets say 14:00 (2pm)
      In my country we don't even like breakfast that much
      It's pretty much just a bother in the morning

    It's crazy how people can be so different from one another. I personally can't function without breakfast. I get moody or unmotivated , I'm constantly thinking about when I'm going to eat, and I feel lightheaded. Aside from that, breakfast time just makes me really happy in general, I can exactly pinpoint why, and I just love breakfast foods, be it savory like eggs, machaca, chilorio, chilaquiles, birria, just any Mexican breakfast really,
    Or something sweet like waffles, pancakes, French toast, or fruits and honey.
    Even just a slice of nice bread with some butter and a cup of coffee on the side is enough to fill my brain with dome much needed dopamine.

      A food therapist told me one reason behind this is because , people ate too much the day prior .
      Ex: huge late night snacks
      Ex: really big dinners /lunches .

    See here’s the thing, while I respect your stance I grew up in a very different culture. In the region of Lebanon where I was brought up, breakfast is very important. It was a village so as kids most days up there were spent either in fields running around playing or in the streets running around playing. See now the thing is, we grew up with mothers who’d grown up in the village, so they constantly worried about one of us getting fatigued and being unable to find their way back if they strayed too far. So breakfast was a vital meal of the day. Typically Lebanese breakfast spreads feature every type of nutrition you’d need throughout the day. It’s a thing the farmers and hunters used to do, eat only breakfast and dinner, skipping lunch to work on the fields or hunt and also to conserve food. My fondest memories were of having breakfast with my friends families and then immediately going to play in the fields after for hours, pretending we were soldiers or superheroes or something. Akh I miss those days, this reel sent me down such a nostalgic road, breakfast is always nice, also that sandwich looks really good

    I haven't eaten breakfast in years either.
    First meal of the day is usually around 12:30/1
    If I eat breakfast, it kicks off my stomach, all I think about is food for the rest of the day. Plus, I agree with you on it being one less thing I have to do in the morning, considering I'm always rushing in the morning while half asleep 😄

      Absolutely. Have not eaten breakfast in so many, many years and my first meal is always after 7 PM, sometimes around 9 PM. Even when I am doing 6 AM shifts, I just function perfectly normal on water and a couple cups of coffee for the whole day until I eat my first meal around 7-8 PM. It is hard to explain, but I just don't feel hungry at all and most important I have tons of energy. If I try to explain it, it sounds crazy, but once you get used to it, it is way easier to understand. Like you said, if I eat breakfast and my glucose levels spike early in the morning, all day I am craving for food and the need for a snack every hour. I just don't like this feeling and I'd rather fast than eat breakfast. Not saying breakfast is wrong, some people can't live w/o it and they are perfectly fine, too, but being the most important meal of the day? Let me disagree with this. It is just way to fuel your body for a few hours and get your glucose levels very high, but as soon as glucose levels drop back, you feel the need to eat again, and again, and again, because it's a cycle you start very early in the morning that can't be broken that easily.

      I can go without it now.
      I don't consume anything before 12 o'clock except (maybe) creatine and water protein shake... Just so I'm not off schedule, if I fell sleep right after work the previous day.
      For the most part only water from 8 or 9 pm to 1200 noon the next day.
      Works wonders. I fluctuate weight like paddy the baddy, but I actually prefer not consuming anything in that time. I'm far more ready to attack any task without food in mah belly 😄

      Replace it by taking a shower every morning, and getting colder and colder, until you just can't take it anymore. Till you gasp because of the cold.
      You'll forget coffee even exists after a few days.
      Your body will pump all kinds of hormones and adrenaline into you.

    I’m the opposite. I don’t eat dinner and I haven’t had dinner in 24 weeks. I’ve had overnight oats for breakfast every and that keeps me going at work until 4 hours later when I eat my lunch, which is my last meal of the day. Intermittent fasting is what I’m doing. I was at 260lbs in January and now in June I stand at 179lbs. Breakfast is what I look forward to everyday because it’s when I break my fast, which is either a 19 hour fast or a 24 hour fast.

    For anyone arguing that you cant technically skip breakfast because you're breaking a fast: that's only an argument un english. In Germany we call breakfast Frühstück ("early thing") and lunch Mittag ("midday"). So in German it definitely depends on WHEN you eat it

    I absolutely cannot eat breakfast 😂. My body for some reason just doesn't have an appetite for the first few hours of the day. Once I tried to eat breakfast because my grandma said it was the "most important meal of the day" but I ended up almost throwing up a few hours later.

      I find people who don’t really have a true early morning work schedule, tend to not eat breakfast. When I was in uni I didn’t really eat breakfast, but now I’m working I eat it everyday.

    Facts. I just got in a routine of skipping breakfast but I was always told breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I would eat breakfast on the days I had an exam. One day I forgot and I realized it was much better. I found out I wasn’t getting sleepy in the middle of exams because I wasn’t eating enough breakfast or the exam was too boring, but because I would get sleepy after eating breakfast.

    I usually only eat breakfast on Saturdays! I never feel hungry as I’m getting on with work mornings because I’m so busy, so I just listen to my hunger queues. I do love breakfast foods (especially shredded potatoes yumm) so when I have a relaxing morning at home or go out for brunch, it is like a treat :)

      Try getting frozen shredded potatoes and putting them in a thin layer on a greased pan with cheese over the top. Sometimes, I crack eggs over the top and let them finish cooking.

      I had a fun version of this. It turned out I had very low iron and I got really tired after eating because my body was sending all of my energy to my digestive system.

      @@bufdud4 I did try a week and personally (as a girl) it just made me weak in the morning, not able to focus and hormonally, my period came 2 weeks earlier and came back 2 times the same month so no it doesn't really work for anybody, even professional say that someone used to have breakfast in the morning shouldn't change too fast

    For myself personally I bodybuild so I'm eating on average 4 to 5 meals a day so I'm am always eating breakfast as it's another opportunity for muscle protein synthesis and I personally love breakfast food plus I'm starving in the morning so I don't think I could ever do Intermittent Fasting as it wouldn't be conducive to my bodybuilding goals.

    I skipped breakfast for intermittent fasting and better blood sugar control. It worked for me. Eating breakfast makes me eat more throughout the day. I ended up losing 10% of my weight within two months.

    I didn’t eat breakfast for the last 4 years but recently started doing it.
    The first days were the hardest since I literally had to force myself to eat and my body wasn’t having it.
    Later it became a habit tho and realized it lifted up my mood, I became more energetic and I just felt better.

      Manual labor especially, I would only eat breakfast on workdays but if I didn’t and went into work I would almost collapse after a few hours. (Although I’m a tall guy with a stupid fast metabolism so I eat 2x what a normal person eats)

    I’m huge intermittent fasting which means no breakfast… i go from 18hr to up to a 20-25hr fast everyday so some days I only eat once a day between 3pm and don’t eat anything until the next day. I feel great as long as I take my electrolytes and continue to exercise 3-4x a week.

      @Lilith you get keto flu for a few days but then it goes away and your body naturally doesn’t ask for food so you don’t get hungry (your body starts to engine “on its own” by feeding off of the fat that is already stored in your body and the fat you are eating on a daily basis

    It’s super refreshing to see all the responses after never really being a breakfast person. A cup of coffee will do me until noon. Breakfasts usually make me sleepy, plus I’m not hungry. Why would I eat breakfast when I could have a bomb lunch and dinner with those calories?

    I always try to eat a fairly large protein heavy breakfast before class then just have a snack for lunch. If i don't eat I've noticed that around midday i have trouble focusing on anything and my body starts to shake.

    I'm down to one meal a day during the week. It restricts calories, allows me to eat basically whatever I want for dinner (and a couple beers) and has improved my mood, energy and overall mental health. It also means that I go to bed with a full stomach, rather than eating a calorie -restricted dinner and being hungry at 2AM

I'm your polar opposite - breakfast is a way of life for me, and when I travel with my husband, we go out of our way to find the best breakfast around, which often leads to not eating lunch, but it's so important to show that a healthy and happy diet and lifestyle can come in many shapes and sizes and that there isn't one right way to do it, just find what keeps you happy and energized because the only person it needs to work for is you 💪🌞
