I've just been exploring this, using the included BP to generate an 8x8 forest in seconds is insane

Thanks for the video! Hopefully they will also work on more optimization. If you, with your rtx 3090 have lag issues, then i guess that we won't see such detailed environments like here in games yet. But i'm too really looking forward to see what we can achieve with procedular generation in the future :)

Yeah! I heard that in 2024, in the future unreal engine version, the engine will use all our CPU's cores, that will ridiculously increase our performance !
And in addition : once we finish everything and we're satisfied with our object placements and stuff, there's a button to bake the pcg into static meshes, that will reduce a lot of lags

Incredible. It will not be long at all, before games/worlds will be both potentially infinite AND 100% realistic. As for AI taking jobs, I think probably more people will be enabled by AI than will be disabled. All new tech means a shift in skills, always has. So far all this new tech is enabling me, personally.

So very true. I have been creating AI personalities, incorporating Speech to Text and Text to Speech, the Lipsync plugins and the ability to query language models that I can train to have a personality (even a dual layer personality, such as an Actress..), I am completely inspired, As a Character Animator, suddenly, when creating emotive reactions, suspicion and 'internal thought' ... I am not just creating .. 'footage that plays once (or even worse,.. over and over), but is layered in ... 'intelligently' using blueprint and therefore a bit like imbuing something with a kind of life,...! It is so utterly compelling...

Hey guys, does anyone know what could be the problem? when I add ue to the capture window on obs, my ue window capture gives out 3 fps. My pc 3070ti, i5 12400f. I turned off the fps limit of background apps, but that didn't help.

This is true for all AI but it will both destroy and create jobs depending on a company's mindset. For smaller companies or those struggling financially, thiswould be a good thing, because they can get more done for the same or less money (which they would need). For Larger companies, this should actually mean more jobs, but in practice some larger companies will take cost saving measures once these methods have proven themselves. On the flip side, there will be companies that see this as the opportunity to expand and scale. For creatives, this ads in much needed scalability which is often difficult to do in creative fields. Overall, more jobs should be created than destroyed, though the barrier to entry will shift to new skillsets.
