It's kinda sad the state that Kizuna Ai has been left in. She was pretty much the pioneer of vtubers and brought the craze into popularity, and yet she's been largely overshadowed at this point in the very community she practically created.
Unfortunately, YT algo dictates who's going to succeed or not. Also, a lot of misinformation and bad business management hurt her too. She had a great sendoff (for her hiatus) though which is really awesome. 100k+ viewers not including those from bilibili. Also got like 70k+ subs from this concert.
Unfortunately, I barely watched Kizuna Ai but I have to say, the way she announced her hiatus, etc. just impressed me. I don’t even know how to explain it all I know that it’s hands down the best I’ve ever seen. Hopefully, I can catch one of her streams ^^
Has she? How many vtubers do you see with the amount of merchandise, collabs, side projects, accomplishments, etc that Kizuna Ai has? She is still at the top, its just that she isnt alone anymore.
@@RaGiAn87 its a pretty well known fact that kizuna sadly got overshadowed, her company lost alot of money and alot of fans after the kizuna clone situation, shes still fairly big in japan but not as much as she use to be
i regret to never took a look to her channel. (although it's just stupid she frequented overrated YTers like Anima man and Pewdie)
Kizuna will be forever missed but not forgotten as one that started this whole vtuber thing
She should be coming back after the anime adaptation. But I feel like that's the main reason why she is on Haitus in the first place. Rn vtubing is still super big but maybe 3 years down the line it will fall off the map so she wants to do it while it's here

@@juanp.mendoza8114 no, even as of recent 3d live from hololive, they are lacking a lot in terms of movement tracking, kizuna ai's tracking is a lot more human like, even minute movement is reflected on her model, probably a different motion capture tech is used by her..

I still remember back in the day when i first discovered Kizuna Ai and the concept of "virtual youtubers" after that one fan letter she sent to Pewdiepie that was featured in one of his videos and the rest is history. That still feels like yesterday, time really flew fast huh?

given the huge buildup to this, it looks like she's going to be gone for a long, long time, which is why she gave such a heartfelt message. man, to think she was the person that started the big vtuber scene. all vtubers and fans should realise just how big and important she truly is. but one thing's for certain. no matter how long it takes, i'll be waiting for her return and i wish her good luck.

Everyone asked themselves, “what’s a virtual UA-camr going to be like?” After all these years, the changes, new things we got, and all the experiences that came forth, it immersed us with new kinds of entertainment and content for lots of people to enjoy. I’ll never forget you Ai-chan, and I thank you. Hope to see your return!
I remember when she got banned by Yt in her early days,must take down several of her videos and try to become more"family friendly"but fail successfully,she rages,she goes into tantrum and swears when got defeated in game,she have no filters showing her emotions, her presence feels so real. feels like, hanging out with a dear friend.

Basically, Kizuna Ai-chan will stop her vtuber works for now but she will do anime works. I feel like she's really giving us all her best even in her hiatus. I will miss her live streams but there will be an anime to relinquish our saudade.

When I watched the concert, the thought circulated through my mind was "She's done something wonderful". Whether she comes back or not, she's left wonderful memories and a footprint on a whole genre of entertainment. So to her, thank you, and all the best wishes wherever you are, to what you are doing!

She's the first vtuber I ever got to watch, then Siro. Then Pekora arrived, along Korone, Rushia, Subaru, and Shion. I remember watching holo's 4th gen debut, and so on, along Ange, Era, Honma, Gundou, and lots more. I've got to watch happy and sad streams since Ai brought me here. Now, watching her stepping out, for whatever reason she has, makes me wonder, how would it been if I haven't click on that banner? Looking back, she made a lot more for me than lots of people I have met, and so listening to her thank us for her career makes me tear up, as she has made a lot for me as well. Hope the best for her, and hope she gets to keep all this happy memories all the way, wherever it takes her from now on. It feels like that one anime for a character's final speech
People might argue about the OG vtubers being Annoying Orange or the JP weather girl or something else.
But everyone should know that Kizuna Ai is the reason why Vtubing has become worldwide phenomenon. This is the girl that inspired and became the sole reason of existence of Hololive, VShojo, Nijisanji, Idol and many more.
Be it Sora, Suisei, Gura, Ironmouse, Kobo or any big names. Without the first step from Kizuna Ai, none of the big names will exist.
Hopeful for her triumphant return in the future.
Assuming she comes back, the day she returns will be a day spent in silence, no other vtubers will be live, only her

I remember when I first saw her on my reco during the era where large youtubers had a cultural boom, the era where Pewdiepie vs. T-series existed, the era where Minecraft UA-camrs started producing content other than Minecraft. It was during that era where i first witnessed something that i didn't even realized would be historically significant today. I know I've been looking up to content creators as "heroes" that has had a great influence on society, but ig the phrase "you don't realize you were living in the happiest moment until it becomes a memory" stands true after all.
