I was really disappointed when I saw the interior was straight out o a 9-year-old honda, and now even more so that I know they weren't allowed to change the suspension and steering, so much potential wasted. Plus now that the Satria Neo is no longer sold, Proton doesn't really have a sports car.
I really hope latest Saga will use Audi A4's body, chassis, suspension, FSI engine, exterior, interior, technology, & everything there is in an A4 but with a price of a Saga. I'd surely buy!

even though the driving the perdana is like driving the accord, i still find it quite interesting & overall for high class car, i definitely love it the way proton produce. Memang terbaik 👍👍
Mainly why everyone bashing this car is because of the price. You're basicllly getting an old Accord with different body panels which is nice and I do like the design. But the 2.4 costs RM130k. The new 1.5 Turbo Civic costs the same and also all the similar D segment cars like the new Accord, Teana, Mazda 6 are all within the Perdana price range. Basiclly, you're getting an old Accord.
At just 110K+ RM, this is most value and bang for the buck car in the D-Segment. The next cheapest car is Nissan Teana but it cost at 137K RM. (more than 20K more) I've no regrets with Perdana. Worth the money you are paying.
Proton engineer was not allowed to change, tune its powerplant. So, blame Honda meh. Even suspension was the same from Honda. Only if neo1/TGDi finished, maybe proton put some or major changes.. Install lotus handling. For now, proton can't do anything. Since Honda proton agreement can't give opportunity to proton put its DNA on this perdana
But the price will creep towards other brand's baseline model or worse more expensive..so i dont think we should put our hopes too high for the petronas engine without extensive prolong use ya😉
proton is the one who signed the agreement, you can blame no one if you can't tune the driving experience, at least give better equipment , the equipment on the 2.0 is a joke

i like the front but the rear is really ugly, even more uglier with those fake exhaust tips. no push start button... really dissapointed on this one.

I have a C Class and Proton Preve. I'll buy this "New" Perdana for leisure family drive if it is priced at RM90k (2.0 L) today! Not a single cents extra! RM113k? Then I'll go for the new Civic 1.5L Turbo.
