- Hello everyone! Today's video will be about the Malaysian-spec 2018 Proton Perdana four door saloon with the 2.0 litre R20A3 naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 154 hp (156 PS) paired to a 5-speed automatic.
Below is the list of current Perdana four door saloon variants available in Malaysia as of 31st August 2018. I arranged it from the cheapest to the most expensive.

I have used this perdana 2.0 ruby red for 2 year now. No problem at all so far. Very comfortable, spacious and stable.Perdana is a D segment car with E segment in term of size and the price between B and C segment imported car. Worth for your money. Honda technology mean long term reliability.

I saw this perdana selling at mudah around 50k to 60k. Almost 40k depreciation in 4 years. Does this car have any major problem? This car look impressive and will consider buy used car..

Hi Mr. Silver low.. How about the brake power and sounds after a while usage.. I mean there was a saying this accord model have a very bad brake pad quality.. Used to have it in 9th generation sept 2013
So far I have no issues with it as mine is still very new. Will update you in my coming years of ownership

This car has keyless entry...most modern cars have keyless entry.
I think what you're referring to is the smart keyless entry and start system of which the donor Accord doesn't have it, so naturally the Perdana wouldn't have it as well.

Yes, campro engine but not for this type as it uses honda engine
Actually I really love the exterior design of this car especially the front . However, the interior design of this car is a huge disappointment due to it's still using the old 2008 Honda Accord's interior design.
Overall, nice review video.Keep it up.
I actually quite like the previous Accord's interior design. The one letdown I feel is that like the Accord, the Perdana doesn't have a very in-depth multi-info display (it doesn't show fuel range, average fuel consumption, etc.).

They were unfortunately not allowed to change the interior design of the car. But they did improve on the seat quality and definitely the audio quality. However as Alex says i do wish for a trip computer as i manually tabulate all the F/C calculations.

Faiz 489.. 9th Gen accord still using same engine in 8th generation accord.. That means it thrives on revs... But one thing.. 8th Gen accord got supple ride.. Unlike 9th Gen which is stiff and nimble

P/s: Perdana's backlight look similar to old persona's. I really wish new persona have this kind design.
Shrinking a cars segment does affect it's proportions and looks. As the new Persona is a Notchback sedan. However the priority for the new Persona is practicality and value for money. And that is what they have done. The old Persona looks nice, poor packaging means it is cramped at the back and also it's boot space isn't as big as it should be.

You can clearly see the cruise control controls at 1:32, I also point them out at 13:47. Whether or not the steering has chrome, it's individual preference. The steering wheel in this way is fine to me, as the less chrome, the better.

What about fuel comsuption?how far can go with 70L & how many liter this car use fuel for 100km?
I'm the owner of the car in the vid. So far i am averaging 11km/l in the city and above 16km/l on highways. If driven sensibly you should be able to average at least 700KM or more.

I would mod some extra soundproofing elements into the car though.
the biggest mistake proton did is they release all new perdana just a few weeks after honda malaysia launch all new honda civic.yes it is different category but with almost similar price range most of the people go for brand.
I'm not the biggest fan of Proton, but looks-wise though, I have to say the Perdana looks much better than the current Civic. Haha.
