      I'm so glad, I don't need to go to an auto part store to buy the tool in the middle of the job.😄

      I purchased a brake caliper piston wind back kit for $25 online which makes it much easier

    Nice thorough brake job. Getting ready to do mine. Strange that your tool wouldn't work to screw back in the calipers. Since I have the same block I will rent the caliper screw back tool the auto parts store has.

      Yes, it is a screw -in type of brake caliper piston. You can buy the proper tool from harbor freight or Amazon. Please subscribe. Thanks.

    Caliper bracket bolts are torque-to-yield and must be replaced as described in the factory manual. They cost about $2.00 each. Don’t reuse them as shown in the video.

      Never hurts to re use the bolts. Quit being a baby.

      I've always re-used the old bolts and never had a problem. I've only ever replaced if the bolts been stripped

    • @chrisheffernan6600
      @chrisheffernan6600 Рік тому

      You can reuse them as long as you use threadlocker. GM installs stretch bolts. Without threadlocker they "Can" back off.

      I think some trim level has drum brake like the base, 1LT, and Eco. The Cruze in this video is 2LT
