Nice setup! I own the set of full size PE cars which are pretty pricey. I'm using a Legacy Heavy Mikado for the engine at this time until I can acquire the actual Polar Express 1225 Legacy & Tender. Thanks for sharing!
sounds great....I am getting sold on getting into trains again...sold mine when I was a younin' to get a ho set(s) but they had no horn and one was rubber band driven>lost interest way back in thhhe 60s...we may have toput up with the crises of todayt but wegot good toy trains,by God...love the chuffingm this one makes !!!

I have been giving it a bit of thought during this quarinte, and I have thought about making a layout for the Polar Express. But the only thing that is stalling me in my though process, is going back and forth between the Flyer Chief S scale polar express, and an O gauge polar express like this one. Which one would you say is better to have on a large scale layout?
Simply used 1x4s for the span. They are simply attached to the sides of the upper level with 90 degree metal braces. The girders on the sides are from Scenic Express and I hand laid the decking with balsa wood.
Is it possible to get the tender separately? If so, then what is the price and could I have a link? Also, could I stick it behind a normal O-gauge Polar Express like nobody's business? Because I am considering getting one and I don't like the tender it comes with too much.

Wow! Nice engine. I’ve actually ridden on the Pere Marquette 1225 which is what the Polar Express is based off. If only I could afford this model.
Next model should have the Sierra 3 whistle like in the movie. PM 1225s is good enough though.

Sierra 3 is not the polar express whistle it's a Baldwin brass roundtop 3 chime
