Love this horse for standing so proud & also the guard has excellent control. Can't say much for the tourists putting their babies in harm's way just to get a photo.
I've said it before, if you saw a dog with ears pinned down on head like that would you really walk up and try to pet...or grab the leash away from owner..what are these people thinking or not thinking!?
Three to four times per minute, times sixty minutes per hour equals 180-240 times. They then get a break another guard starts all over again. In the history of the world, there's never been a shortage of fools.
If you are afraid or don’t want the horse to touch you WHY DO YOU TRY TO GET SO CLOSE TO THE HORSE and then jump back when he goes after you??? Please help me understand because these people make NO sense! The horses and guards are top notch in the way they tolerate these daft people.
Both horses were in the right mood probably also because people were leaving them some space and not petting them non stop. 18:14 the guard gets a heart😏
Clearly, the warning sign that horses bite and kick is not enough. Maybe there should be a sign explaining to people that the Guards are in military service; that they should not be insulted or interfered with in any way; that people should be aware that they need to stay out of the way of moving Guards; that the Guards are armed with live ammunition; and especially something about horses. How best to approach a horse (slowly, from the side); how sensitive their skin is to any touch, even a fly, and it is not wise to touch them at all; how you should watch for pinned ears and what that means; how the reins are the Guard's control of the horse and that it is incredibly stupid to touch them; and how powerful and dangerous a horse is. A horse is a prey animal and their instinct is to flee when spooked. It is best not to stare a horse in the eye, it can be taken as a threat. I think a lot of these tourists have zero clue what they are messing around with! They are not aware how dangerous their actions are, nor how very stupid they appear to others. The horses and Guards are brilliant and the horses are astonishingly tolerant of all sorts of stimuli that normally totally freak horses out: smells, sounds, movement, being touched, and feeling trapped. Very impressive work by the Guards and their extremely reserved steeds!!
I love this horse, it has lots of character and a naughty side to it. Likes to nip people lol, reminds me of one of the ponies 'Bess' on our field, who also drank out of a plastic cup. I wonder if he/she gets told off often for it, when in the Guards stable ❤
These horses are amazingly cared for, and checked over before duty. If this horse has discomfort in its legs, it will be picked up by Guards and treated promptly. Each horse and guard are changed hourly giving plenty of time to rest
Gorgeous horses. Horses (and Guards) are amazingly tolerant of absolute idiots! I almost wish the horses were trained on command to kick at some of them! Folks that's a 1,500 pound animal. Even if not done in fear or anger, he/she can put you on the ground in an instant! I love the four we have had (one remains) and the five that are now "pasture boarders" -- all very gentle (for 6-7 times my weight). Besides, they are performing a duty which does not include accommodating your cheeky stupidity.
The horse is trying to bite you. Ask yourself why and stop touching him! I like the female guard who pulls her horse back into box and yells Get Back to stupid tourists. She tries to give her horse a break from stupid tourists. They’re in the horse’s personal space and touching him everywhere - annoying the horse. The armed guards do nothing to keep crowds away.
Yes it really annoys me that the poor horse is trying to communicate and people don't respect its space. I wouldve thought the armed guards would assist in keeping peeps from annoying the horse. Imagine being touched n patted by so many people aaargh! shudder!
The horses are very tolerant..as are the guards. The tourists wouldn't have stood a chance with one of my horses..he was a devil.. had a nasty kick..and more than once did I have to try and jump over the field gate before he got to me..never made it and got a nasty bite on my backside for my efforts 🙄
Sometimes it looks like the horse wants to pose for the picture. Other times that horse doesn't think much of the admirers. It is very disciplined and responsive to his rider, that's for sure. 28:00 Anyone who touches the reins should have to stay and clean up after the horses.
I could not watch this once these people started crowding around this horse. These people must be incredibly stupid. Do they not realize how powerful a horse is and how quickly it can act? They were really placing themselves in a lot of danger.
Would half of these foreigners be allowed to manhandle the military horses in their countries. They'd probably be arrested or shot. It just shows how ill-mannered they really are. Our mounted guardsmen/women are so polite & patient. I really feel for them.
She even just ambled off when he shouted get off the reins with a smirk on her face.😡What the hell is the matter with these tourists?! They do NOT know what Respect means. These time served soldiers also go to Iraq and other war zones foreach6months of the year. Many return in ⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️
@@sallyannwheeler6327 It's infuriating that if something like this is done by someone visibly Jewish a seemingly unending torrent of anti-Jewish comments follows, but not even a single anti-Muslim comment has been made in this case by anyone. I'm not blaming you for refraining from racism and bigotry; I'm just calling out the double standard that lots of people act by.
If interested in the extensive training both soldiers ( man & horse ) go through watch ( The Queens Guard: A Year In Service) . You will see some of these men yo see today on the show.
Or it could be he's not saying anything because they're not pulling on the rein, they're just holding the it? some of them are just barely touching it. Hopefully he will say something if he feels them yanking/pulling on the reins.
As I watch these people keep jerking their hands back really quickly it telling me that they don't know anything about horses. When you see a horse pin t it's ears back you shouldn't mess around with it because it doesn't want to be bothered and it'll BITE YOU
That horse is in pain he is favouring he right front leg he is lifting it up and down constantly and that probably why he’s feeling like he wants to bite people he is definitely got something going on I hope his rider notices so he can get it checked .

Handsome Guard and beautiful horse!
Beautiful horses so Adorable and Magestic 💜💜🌈🌈
How many times does a horse have to nip at you before you get the message?
Right?

The horse may be fed up with the constant stroking, and I do not blame him.
Such a magnificently beautiful 🐎🐴
How many times does the guards have to say hands off the reins 😮The guards are military respect them

Yep gotta love the bitey ones 🤣🤣. Makes for good viewing entertainment 😆
This horse must be friends with Arni 😂😂❤️🏴
Tourists think they’re going to Disneyland or they think they’re visiting a petting zoo. Otherwise, why do they have to touch everything?

Nice adjustment at 1:24.
Just how stupid can people be around horses???? It amaze me.
I'm guessing the Guards and the horses must be TOTALLY fed up of people at the end of each day. This cannot be an easy job for either human or equine.
1 hour thank goodness!

I doubt if the Asian woman understood English, let alone why she shouldn’t touch any part of the tack.
Whats up with that woman in tge brown coat n black hat, she just stood there & just stared at the poor horse really, whats wrong with these people??
I thought she was talking to him/her. I couldn't figure it out
That horse has a sore right knee, keeps lifting leg to relieve pain.

I think they need another huge sign saying do not touch or feed the horse! It isnt a petting zoo afterall.
Lucky that baby wasn't bitten while Ken was holding his baby so close to the horse.
I wonder if that horse has sore feet.
No they don’t they stand all the time
There is a guards change every hour. So no they don’t!🏴

Why don't the police tell the tourists not to go throw the the horse space what if the horse was coming close the doors then open them
That brown ripped jumper that girl is wearing looks awful. Sry, my opinion only.
