I definitely agree with your statement at the beginning. I started out on wc3 customs which lead to dota 1, played on league beta and played league and dota 2 over the years. After trying out hots back in 2016 I definitely prefer it now over the 3 because its game length, and gameplay loop is a bit more action packed than dota and lol where its just constant brawling because of the objectives in every map.
I feel hots can be a bit too simplistic at times, if they introduced more talents, like sub-talents after major talents (1..3..7..10..) that would be great in creating diversity in popular builds or those who want to explore more unique builds
@@iCrazy414 True, but I think that's also the pros and cons of HotS. Pros being it's so much easier to access but obviously the con being not as complex as the other 2
I said that and I will repeat it over and over again, HoTS is the best casual MOBA in the market. Simple, easy to learn the basics, and really team oriented.
To add to the list of things to possibly enjoy about HoTS over other Mobas: Map variety - Most other mobas only have 1 map. HoTS has a variety of maps with different objectives, sizes, and layouts. So knowing the map is a skill just like knowing your character is. "Odd" characters - You see this in Dota and HoTS, but not in league or other mobas. Basically, characters that march to the beat of a different drum. Characters that kind of break from any sort of rigid standard. Chogall, abathur, murky, etc. - They all have quite unique playstyles in the context of the Moba, which you just don't really see in other games.
I for one am mega hyped about the potential return of hots. More than a handful of my buddies have reinstalled and are hoping the population follows suit and comes back! We tried playing a year ago and had 15 min+ queues :( was sad to see
For real a potential return? But how? A boom in the population would be so welcome those queue times were painful to wait for. 15+min wait for a 20-ish min match 😔
Dota 2 is my main game, but I would love to play HotS as a more casual, chill and fun time. Like with a podcast in the background. Is the matchmaking completely dead?
More than that last good hook by stitches, you carried the game. Good micro, macro, decitions. I´m on the way to get out of D and achive master/GM. Ty for share us that game Grubby. It really help us to improve.
Hots is the best moba by far. The only one i can stand playing partially because of the match length as grubby points out. Hopefully it makes a comeback along with wc3.
2 think i dont like about hots ; 1 skill and spell range is short characters walk slowly, in combat everything happens too fast so there is no suspension its all jumpscare 2 its all characters and maps from all blizzard titles not just from warcraft and it kills my imersion and feel of connection but still its a good game, i had alot of fun with it
there are so many times I wanted to forfeit HoTs games. It definitely feels terrible to lose, especially when 1-2 of your teammates are blatantly ignoring objectives and sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard on exp; basically contributing nothing
You don't know how much I wish to Microsoft to gave rebirth for HOTS, thank you Grubby for your content !

I just love the "I guess I'm here now" energy Hogger has. One of my favorite moba characters, for sure.

Due to the new updates that have started, I’m definitely going to start playing HoTS again! Such a great game!
What a sick farming play with hogger! I'll make sure and try it next time I can
This is my favorite map for Hogger! Being able to solo the camp quickly + the angles on the objective make him so good.
Missed u making hots content. Most enjoyable moba

Watching 1 Hoggar spin gives more caffeine than a pot of coffee
I wish HotS was on steam
WOW and warcraft too

It's not, many people still play, although not as many as the main Mobas :)

i love alterac valley in hots and wow
Hogger is his favorite hero because he loves hogging all the farm when he plays mobas

If the LT isn’t fucking with you a little bit, do you even have an LT anymore?
Well said HBM
A comp with the weirdos of HotS... lol Abathur mvp

there is a gg button in dota 2
Thats the difference between lol and hots compared to lol they have merit and redeeming qualities
It's hard to play this game, the worst enemy is your own team, people just call you all names possible, that's why I gave up.
HOGSPIN
If they want hots to be popular. They should make android/iphone ports of this moba
Just a casual 53% of teamfight damage. nbd
No new heroes I guess
No.
Dota sucks xD.
