Thanks for the shout-out Tony! Another great video.
I think the $1,500 tag without electric start and $1,600 with is going to hurt the sales numbers on these units.
I will be doing a complete overhaul on mine this winter.
My first year model would eat those bearings up even though I glued the caps down. Found out later the issue was the mounting spots were slightly angled from factory. Which caused them to blow up every 30-60 hours. I still have a bag of new pulleys 😂
My current model never have had issues with them. I have a ton of hours on it and as you mentioned, I already blew one motor up and upgraded.
My transmission is diecast metal. But my Timemaster was the last year of the 190cc. I upgraded the transmission and it too is diecast. Never had a problem since.
I found away to get more time out of the cable. I spray lithium grease in them every time I service the mower. Makes them a lot longer.
I eat up a set of wheels every season. For anyone reading this, it's my full time mower.
I've seen a guy in Houston who cut a square hole out of the cover. He made a little plastic cover with wing nuts to pop off quickly to blow it out. I'll probably do that this winter as well.
I paid $899 for my current Timemaster 30. I've gotten my money out of it. Not sure I'm willing to pay $1,500. I guess never say never. But I am eyeing new equipment for 2023...
Enjoy all your videos. Have a great weekend!

It’s all about how you take care of your equipment. I’ve had mine for almost 9 years and it’s still runs flawlessly and cuts amazing still. So take care of your equipment and it will take care of you!!!!

Time master is great. I use them for smaller yards and i also have a timecutter as well for the bigger yards. I love them both.
Just have to remember that maintenance is key.
I took the sponge out of mine and cranked the govener up a bit to increase power.

Really enjoyed watching this video. They are really nice residential mowers but they are definitely not reliable for daily commercial use. Although we run our Timemasters hard each day. I’m getting ready to post a 500 hour review on a 2017 Timemaster that I bought used in 2020.

Thanks for the review ! I have a really steep yard that’s over a half acre . I also cut our neighbors yard, just under 1 acre. my yard is really steep , and his is definitely not flat . Been cutting them both for years with a old toro that’s not self propelled.. it’s getting older and I’d love to have a nice self propelled mower that’s nice and wide like this one just worried about the steep yard I have . Any input would be appreciated , thank you !!

I just got an electric start timemaster for $1200 few days ago at my local toro dealer. A 70+ year old guy used it for 1 day and couldn’t make any turns, the dealer already had $200 sale for timemasters and discounted it further :D

Have heard the gas tanks are too small and the transmissions fail on these.

Mine is in the shop a second time for a leaky transmission. The first time wiped out the whole trans. This latest time I caught it before it failed. Unfortunately, I was told Toro does not sell a gasket kit anymore, forcing owners to replace the entire unit. My shop found someone who makes the seals again and I'm waiting for delivery and installation. I have also had an idler pulley fail that took out my cog belt. I had to replace my drive belt too. It is just used residentially and I maintain it well. With all that said I'd still recommend the unit, just get the extended warranty. I bought mine for $800 new off season, would I spend $1600 now - No.

I just purchased an open box one from a landscaper for $975 from Facebook Marketplace. I noticed at 6:46 that you spun the front left wheel (point of view is pushing the lawnmower) even though it is sitting on the ground. Is that normal? I noticed the same wheel on my Timemaster is barely touching the ground (I can hear it scrape the floor but it's not really touching the floor). I guess something got bent or improperly assembled.

Yeah I guess I shouldn't worry about it. Really happy with the price I paid for it. $1,599.00 new is insane. Good to know you have some videos on how to do maintenance on this mower. I'll be sure to check them out in the future.

Ahh... The mower I love and hate!! I have 2 now . Paid 1100$ in 2020 new and learned how to fix all the little quirks, belts, pulleys, transmission, cables. Got a good deal from a guy that buys Home Depot returns this year. He had one for 750$. It was a return with bad transmission. He had new transmission but had not yet installed it. I offered 600$ and I would install transmission. We made a deal that we both liked!! As far as the idler pulleys go, you might as well replace them with the commercial pulleys when they fail. I went thru 2 sets of the original in 2020 and installed commercial ones same year. Have not had a problem since from the idler pulleys. It is a very handy mower and I use it often!!!
