Your chill voice over makes "Ueno" video more relaxing ...I have loved the energy and vibe of this area and always end up staying there..... will get to see and experience cold Ueno mornings this November 2022...domo arigato
Thank you. I never thought I would get compliment on my voice. I like Ueno too. It's getting cooler day by day in Tokyo. I hope you'll stay warm and enjoy your stay. 🍁
Watching this from the other side of the world, thanks for your videos! Your calm style sooo nice and relaxing, it makes plannig a trip to Japan even more enjoyable. ¡¡GRACIAS!!
Ueno is a neat area. Lots to explore. For a really cheap hotel nearby, there is a place called One Night 1980 just up the way in Iriya. It’s a great way to stretch your budget.
That "One Night 1980" is 1980 Yen a night as its name! That's a great naming. Thank you for sharing! You are right. Ueno area lacks large or luxury hotels but probably the most laid back and traditional area in Tokyo.
Your videos + saving locations on Google are helping me make my itinerary so much. I know where to go, how to get there, and since it's all on a map I won't waste a bunch of time backtracking.
Thank you for watching this video too. I'm glad you liked the map. I'll try to add "Google my map" too so you can track where you are when you are there. 👍
Kenchan, rewatching this video of yours because we are currently staying in Ueno. I wish the current Tokyo is like the time when you filmed them. Your Ueno here seemed so peaceful at that time; these few days Ueno is just packed with tourists and locals! I like Yanaka area that you showed, we may check it out. Thanks.
Hello Edna san, oh you are in Japan! I hope you are having a good time. It's surprising how much people are back to Tokyo these days. It might be super busy especially on the weekend. If you can visit Yanaka tomorrow late afternoon or evening, it might be better with less people.
Nice 😊 we’re planning to visit Ueno Tokyo on February 2023💕and found the Ueno Hotel is near to Ueno station 👍I’m enjoying you video. What train I need from Ueno to Tokyo station and after that shibuya 😍
Thank you for watching my videos. That's great you are staying near Ueno. Ueno to Tokyo Station, there are several but it's easy to take JR Yamanote line (Light Green) or Keihin Tohoku (Light Blue) line. Any trains from platform 3 or 4 at Ueno station. To Ueno, you can take Metro Ginza line (Orange subway) bound for Shibuya. :)
Booked a hotel in Ueno on a whim (one of the cheapest non-hostel deals I could find) but was starting to think it had been a mistake since I couldn’t find much to do around. I’m a bit more at ease now, thank you!!
Depends on where in Ueno, but it is a good location. It has both tradition and vibrant streets. Very close to Akihabara and Asakusa too by train or on foot. Have a great trip. :)
Hello. That is this location on Google Map. goo.gl/maps/ATwNMUJbaZ466HtT7 It belongs to Yanaka Kannonji Temple. yanaka-kannonji.jp/wall/ I hope you enjoy Ueno. :)
i'm going to tokyo in november for work and for fun and i've been watching all your videos! They are very informative and easy to understand! Can you possibly do one on depachika or other places to find good food or souvenirs?
Thank you! I'm glad to hear the videos were informative, and that's great you are coming to Tokyo. Yes, I'm actually working on the video about shopping this week. It might be a little different from what you mentioned, but I think it includes some information you may like. The video would be published around mid October. Thank you again.
Great VDO ...thanksss...it's completely help me for this october trip....i need your commer.. 1.should in use 72 hrs pass or jr pass ?(my trip plan only in tokyo trip 7 days). 2. Can you advise 2-3 place of local japanese market? I need to see real life style of japanse people than modern market such ginza,shijuku,shibuya...please
Hello. Thank you for watching. If you are just staying in Tokyo, you don't need JR Pass. If you are going some day trips, it might help to have Tokyo Wide Pass by JR East. If you use subways often in your itinerary, it worth getting the subway 72 hours pass, but but it cannot be used for JR lines. As for market, we don't really have market as we purchase at supermarket and small stores. You can visit Sunamachi or Koiwa, streets that small streets gathers. :)
Your videos and style are great my friend! No BS, all valuable intel. In another video you even said "if you're bringing young kids and elderly parents" it was like you read my mind 😝. Thank you again🙌.
Hello. You can take Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station and change to Keiyo line. 30 min. by rapid train to Kaihin-Makuhari. It’s a little long walk at Tokyo station, so to avoid that, you can also take Metro Hibiya line to Hacchobori (which is one station towards China from Tokyo station) and change to Keiyo line. I hope it helped.
@@kath2777 san, no. But any stations have escalators and elevators, so I hope you can make it. 😅 Put all heavy things in your suitcases, not on your shoulder or back.
