Been using my FAA primer tube feeder for years. Works great with SPP and like the expensive one you just reviewed, it's hit or miss with LPP. FAA primer tube feed works great and it is BUDGET friendly.
Primer tube loading I use Double Alpha hand-held and use the tube in the RCBS bench primer loader. Just did 700 shells the other night. Not one screwed-up primer and zero losses. At .13 a piece I sure don't want to be wasting primers.
Using Hornady 1911 style primer loader. Works great, just remove the shield and have it properly angled so primers are in far left corner. No problem to fill one tube in 5 seconds.
I love the way the Primafill fills my DAA tubes. Once you get the hang of it you can fill a tube in about 10-12 seconds. Unfortunately the plastic clamp that holds the vibration motor in the Primafill keeps breaking. DAA has been good to me and sent me a replacement clamp each time it’s broken, but I’ve gone through 3 clamps in a year which is terrible for reliability. I hope they decide to make that clamp out of metal in the future.
I've got the PrimerPro and the Prima Fill, I like the Prima Fill much better. It doesn't require near the amount of fiddling and unjamming the Pro requires.
You must have never had a primer tube go off! I use Dillon electric tube fillers because the tubes have a protective outer shell as does the primer feed on my 1050’s. I had one go off one time and it stuck the plastic follower an inch into a 10’ ceiling…since then I treat primers like nitro and clean the yellow stuff out:)
I’ve been really happy with all of My double alpha academy products. (Except the tool tray thing that is supposed to mount on round or square tubes it simply sucks compared to the Dillon tool dock) otherwise everything they make is fantastic
I had to do a double take, at first I thought you had some device to reload primers and I was like "Finally an automated process to reload those little bastards!" Sigh, probably never going to happen on the non industrial scale the filler is too volatile...
Yea I've done it when I couldn't find primers with the PrimeAll compound. PITA, time consuming and corrosive. Just hoping the cost of commercial primers doesn't continue to rise
@@patrickgatons gotta mix the components together in small batches. Pop the anvils out carefully with a pick. Sometimes they go flying. Hammer out the firing pin dent with a punch. Let it set up a few minutes then pack the compound down then press anvils back in. Let dry for at least 24hrs. Like I said, HUGE PITA lol
@@patrickgatons .22 Plinkster and some others have some videos on it and he sells the chemicals in packs on their website, but as Condition said it is a PITA and can be dangerous if you mix up too much. It is contact explosive after all.
Would you please tell them to make a “Pro” for large primer? I get that there are engineering challenges but seriously some of us shoot “heavy” aka .308 matches.
@@MSTRnBTCto-the-moon please please explain, I’m seriously looking into getting one and can’t find much detailed negative feed back. I shoot plenty that takes small primers. I just also shoot plenty that take large primers too.
@@charleshetrick3152 It runs a long time to try and fill a tube. I can put 400 primers in the hopper and not be able to fill a full tube if it works at all. I contacted DAA and they were unsuccessful solving the issue. They just blamed it on the primers. I tried many brands of primers. I still have yet to be able to fill 2 full tubes with it. Now it is just collecting dust. I usually like the DAA products, this one is a bust. Just use the Frankford Arsenal Vibra Prime. You will be able to get the job done way faster with less cost and frustration. If you need to see it yourself we can probably arrange a way to send you a video of it failing miserably. I don't like to bash peoples products but I also don't like to see people get ripped off. Some people will give any product a positive review. I makes me question the rest of the things they promote.
About to buy my first progressive reloader, do you have any suggestions as to best brand? And why ? Thanks for all of your awesome information, Love the channel!
I started with Lee progressive presses - don't waste your time, way too aggravating. They are inexpensive presses and can be made to work after a fashion, but you had better LOVE to fiddle with devices to make them work if you choose to go with Lee. Then, I moved on to a Hornady Lock-N-Load AP. Somewhat less expensive than a Dillon, and it works ok, but it still had aggravating quirks and problems. I was infuriated by the amount of final finishing to metal-on-metal contacting parts. When you spend $1000+ on a press, you should NOT have to break out files and polishing compound. I finally bought a Dillon XL750, and honestly, I wish I had started with one. It is NOT perfect, but it is way closer to it than Hornady or Lee.
Thanks everyone for your input! I had pretty much decided on the Dillon XL750. I was interested in the Frankford Arsenal FX-10, but beginning to doubt it is ever going to come out. Really worried there is an issue with it. Now only issue is finding dies for the XL750 that I don't have to wait two years to get from Dillon!
Thanks for the video, but we have not been able to buy any primers anywhere all year. Me suspects foul play. The one exception is that my daughter found a guy who had one brick at a local gun show. The price was $140 + 6% tax.
I'd be content finding primers to buy....
Good evening. Been waiting for a video just like this...watching with interest.

I use RCBS auto priming tool and I love it. Very solid and fluent.
Excellent, informative video as always.

I am quite fond of the Primafill, it works great and you don't break the for it.

Whats a primer where do you find them ?
Thank you for sharing your research
Will the tubes work for Hornady lnl progressive press? If not, could the primer feeder work with the hornady pick up tubes?
Love your videos brother
I like and use the Lee bench prime every time... I do like to prime off the press the most than on the press... I can feel more by hand.
I greatly prefer to use the RCBS hand priming tool.
Love the videos and hope they figure out the primer pro to maybe get them doing large primer eventually
Where did you get primers to reload with ?!?
I sure could use that mark 7 set up
I do like 20 rounds at a time, so the little primer arm on my press is really all I need. Still cool to watch stuff like this though.
This is like telling an alcoholic how to drink during prohibition!!!
How about using match heads and acetone to re activate used primers
Brownells has Rifle primers, date 11/18/2021
will the primer pro work with hornady primer tubes?
NOW all we have to do is get primers.
What is a primer?? Been so long I forget!!
Another great video Gavin. I use Frankford arsenal ultimate primer hand primer. But I'm not loading on a large volume.
Gavin, what priming system do you prefer for precision reloading?

Will the Primafill work with Hornady primer tubes?
For some reason that link is not working for the giveaway
Are those tubes compatible with RCBS bench primers?
Does the bulk auto tube loader have a auto shut off when a tube is full?
Will they load Primal Rights primer tubes?
tools are great but where are the primers that are not 0.35 each
This is a commercial. Not a review.
At the rate I find primers right now, I don’t really see the need for speed in priming.

Just buy the Dillon, its what you will end up with in the end anyway.
Buy a Dillon. Everyone else just claims to be “just as good”. Why not just get the gold standard.

Great information and videos Thank you God's Blessings
The cheaper one (Pima Fill) works better/faster in my opinion. I can fill 5 tubes in under 5 minutes
Maybe u could sell some flex seal when ur done with this video.
Hummm WHAT PRIMERS
....If you have any/
...assuming you can obtain primers.....
I'll stick with my lee safety prime..
