My Immortal vs The Divine Comedy- Literary Rap Battles!
"My Immortal" is a notoriously famous fanfiction within the Harry Potter fandom, known for its unconventional style, dramatic plotlines, and numerous grammar errors. Written by Tara Gilesbie (often speculated as a pseudonym), the story follows Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way, a gothic teenager who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Filled with vampires, a love triangle, and frequent author's notes, "My Immortal" has gained a cult following despite its polarizing reputation for its unique blend of humor, unintentional absurdity, and occasional moments of genuine storytelling.
"The Divine Comedy" is a masterpiece of world literature written by Dante Alighieri in the early 14th century. Divided into three parts-Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso-the poem follows the journey of the narrator, Dante himself, through Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven, guided by the Roman poet Virgil and later by Beatrice, his idealized love. Each part explores themes of sin, redemption, and the nature of divine justice, offering a profound theological and allegorical reflection on the human condition. Dante's vivid imagery, intricate symbolism, and poetic craftsmanship have cemented "The Divine Comedy" as a seminal work that continues to influence literature, theology, and philosophy centuries after its creation.

"You present yourself as a vampire right? Clever way to hide the fact you dont go outside" 😂😂😂😂, hilarious and amazing
"only dammed student on Hogwarts who can't spell" paused and went " OH SHIT THE BURN! "
The Self Indulgent Fanfiction of Modern Era vs The Self Indulgent Fanfiction of History
What a surprisingly fitting matchup.
The Greatest Fanfiction of Today vs The Greatest Fanfiction in History
@@AlkalineandAcid Nah Self indulgent makes more sense
One day I was listening to a rap battle and thought: "It would be cool if someone made one with Dante Alighieri! Surely nobody will, though"
I was wrong.
Wild so many people thought Dante won, I thought Ebony absolutely wrecked him.
Great vid!
My Immortal unironically slapped this battle.
Also, as this is *Literary* Rap Battles...
Guy Montag (Fahrenheit 451) vs Rowan Damisch (Arc of a Scythe)
Nah, could've though. Basically if Ebony focused more on Dante writing a fanfic where everyone he hates gets sent to hell and got jerked off for it and other flaws, and Dante focused on the flaws of My Immortal in more depth, like the masticating scene.
I feel like this had too little references to Dantes Divine Comedy, except for the "My love is the kind that moves the Sun and Stars" and general references to Religion
Ebony kinda dragged his ass, her flow was insane. I also love how you guys worked her constant outfit descriptions into the battle
And her strange euphemisms
They bolth cooled but i like the dudes accent. I think he won
Dante won this, hands down!
Ah, this will look good on my art resume! 😊
Pretty good! I'm surprised this has so little views, I'd definitely expect more!
one man diddy party
You, Taiga, WAFox and everyone are doing awesome.
Pretty good job, liked it.
This is cool!!
Very cool ❤❤
Dante clearly won
As an italian, i approve (but the accent is atrocius lmao)
Nice!
I ought to say, WeThink did a pretty good job at rapping!
0:33 yap
Dante went crazy hard.
My offer for next one:
- Ashlyn from "School Bus Graveyard" VS Nick Burckhardt from "Grimm"
Also:
- Ancestor from "Darkest Dungeon" VS Jimmy from "Mouthwashing"
Two guys that messed up everything, time and time again.
