This is a must for a long term test. My wife and I were driving through the local ram lot this past weekend and she said “I love that one”. It was of coarse a rebel. Go for it guys.
Love the “Is it faster then Fiesta ST” but I think it’s run it course...Ram rebel would be a great long term truck....With as expensive as these trucks are and the kind of investment people put into them it would be nice to see everyday use on a longer scale👍
Hey Roman. You're great, and thank you for your efforts. Feedback though, you seem annoyed about the price? Why? These are LOADED awesome trucks. Its not a work truck, or a base truck. This Rebel is a off-road capable, while car-like driving experience on road, luxury do everything truck, that BTW, you won't pay full MSRP when you go and buy. You can get at least $5,000 off these brand new trucks. Even at this higher price, there is a ton of value. I'm looking forward to getting a limited here in the near future. These trucks are awesome. Can't wait.
best looking truck in my opinion.. that interior is like 5 years ahead of anyone else. ill wait until truck month or Labor Day next year to get it. because my buddy got 15k off the 2019 and my other friend got 10k off.. ram, here I come baby.
I love when cupholders are put at the rear of the front console for rear passengers. They can double as extra cupholders for front passengers when no one is using them in the rear.
Roman, Loved the video, lots of great content. I do want to mention that I clicked the video to learn more about the new rebel, not what other trucks have that it doesn’t. Ram gave you guys the opportunity to sit with him and you spent several minutes talking to him about competitors and features they have that ram does not. I’m a GM guy myself, but show him some respect and discuss the things he has a passion to discuss.
The REBEL is definitely my favorite trim level/package offered by RAM and they turned it up a notch with the REBEL 12, this would be a great long term truck to have most of your team are RAM/Jeep fans and so are your audience. It would be a tough choice between this and the 19 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss for me. I saw one at the Chevy dealer I worked for and it was a sweet truck as well and stickered for 60k after all the options and destination so a couple thousand less than this. The REBEL 12 package for 2500 dollars would be worth it to many buyers, but hopefully they don't get too distracted by the giant I-Pad while driving. lol ... thanks for the walkthrough on this new truck and package guys.
Thanks for diving into the coils vs air questions Roman. I think what some people may consider features of the air ride could come across as inconveniences for off roading or true durability in the long term.
Wolffe Crowe I find it super convenient. The air suspension balances itself if you have weight on the truck bed or towing a load. It’s not just entering or exiting. Plus for majority of folks like myself, I’m 90% on road 10% off.
I’m excited to see what TFL does with this truck if they can get it long term! I personally would love to watch a comparison in towing and off road with this truck against it’s similar priced competitors. I’d even like to see them do a drag race with and without a trailer at sea level like they used to a few years ago. I hope TFL can get their hands on this truck!
I love your videos and reviews. I appreciate all the insight that your team provides. Great stuff! I just picked up my new 2019 Ram Rebel 12 (Storm Trooper-Bright white/black) and absolutely love it. I’ve added a few upgrades to include a high performance exhaust (Magna Flow), Headers (aFe Power), PCM Tuner (Diablo Pulsar), CAI (aFe), Tonneau cover (Armor Flex-Linex). It’s one of my favorite trucks to date. :-)
I would enjoy watching and hearing your reviews on a long term 2019 RAM Rebel! I recently traded in my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 High Country (Crew Cab 5.3L max tow) for the new 2019 RAM Rebel Crew Cab with the 5.7L eTorque system. I am highly impressed with the products that RAM (and Fiat Chrysler America) are putting out! The design is absolutely on point and the interiors (IMHO) are the best in class for any truck out there.
Heck yea! Trade in that Fiesta and get the new Ram Rebel as a long term. You will be glad you did. I have a loaded 16 Ram 1500 with air suspension and the Ram boxes and love it. Wish I could afford the new one.
I think the biggest question that surfaces with the new Ram is this...with all the technology (big screen, e torque, air suspension, does it effect reliability? I would love to see a longterm review done on the new Ram and this model in particular.
Test drove every truck out there before purchasing and loving my limited Ram with etorque and air ride . It's the smoothest, best interior, quietest and most technologically advanced of them all. Purchased the lifetime warranty with unlimited miles for $2695 so I'll just handoff this truck to my son.
While the Rebel 12 option is $2,900, saying that is what it costs is a bit inaccurate because selecting that option, FORCES an additional $3,000 option to be selected. So it is really a $6,000 option.
I wonder which of these three features will fail or start giving problems first. In order, here`s my guess. E-Torque, 12 inch screen, then the air suspension.
That truck in the video is the exact truck I'm trying to order, but my dealership told me that I won't be able to order it with an eTorque until January at the earliest -- and that's with a March 2019 delivery! The availability of the eTorque itself is apparently the problem. RAM really needs to improve their damn supply chain... :(
Yes test this truck. It's a good candidate because of the etorque and air suspension. Also would be nice to see how the other options make out. ex: rear locker, sunroof and 12" infotainment
I don’t know... off road modes don’t mean much to me. Would rather have 4-hi/lo, locking diffs and disconnecting sway bars over selectable off road modes any day. But I’m open to being educated on their benefit.
I know right. These gas engine truck prices are outrageous. At least the raptor fills a specialty niche, for its price tag, this thing is just expensive for the luxury.
Seriously, stop making silly comparisons. A loaded Rebel will still be cheaper than a loaded Rapotr, or a similar priced Rebel will have more features. Even a non-Rebel 12 package will still offer you leather, Uconnect, all the off road bits. Also, good luck trying to find these incentives and discounts on a Raptor. The Raptor is a different kind of truck, period. This a 2019 Model with Level 1 Equipment group. Has many of the features you see here, an MSRP $53,935, but the sales price of $38,384. www.chapmanchryslerjeeppennsylvania.com/new/Ram/2019-Ram-1500-3aa134ce0a0e0aea3d0cfa128537e31c.htm
Definitely long term candidate, I feel like a large group of your viewers tune in for this segment of truck. So choose from this, the trail boss, tundra trd ect
Props to ram I’ve always liked fords but man this looks good and that interior! Rebel adds just enough aggression to make this look good, the standard 1500 looks too muted.
i just went and test drove and bought one today ..... it did not have the air shocks or E-torque but i needed the 12 and sunroof your videos had me knowing more than the salesman lol . you may want to add how to tell the difference without the keys , the airshocks look empty inside the springs , the regular shocks are Blue inside the springs , from looking above the wheels in the front . i wanted the air but it was not a deal breaker . :) . i would rather have the 12 / sunroof to enjoy on my way to south florida mudding lol . Great videos guys !!! my next stop is to your store to help support you . do you guys have a regular show on here ? until two weeks ago researching trucks on here i never researched using youtube lol . after watching 40 hours of your vids + another 40 of the rest , i would tune in . you guys are a pleasure to watch and i do not mean that in a brokeback way LOL .
Great Vid. Yes to the Rebel for long term. Love the truck. I'd love to see a vid of the e torque in operation. Real world feel....start stop. I hate start stop....too slow, rough.....I wonder of this changes this in a positive way. Beautiful Truck.....Best there is.
Why do none of them provide permanent 4x4? It's not like it's a new feature, your old Disco 2 has it and it existed for decades before that. It's a feature that is of genuine help and I appreciate on my own car.
I remember getting a Silverado LT z71 with towing package in 2005 for $35k... Trucks have gotten way out of control in pricing. This is probably why their resale value stays high, because people don’t want to buy another one causing the supply to dip below quantity demanded. These artificial market devices, tariffs on truck imports, need to go. Are law makers afraid that American trucks cannot compete with the world?
I have the same truck but with the 8” screen and I’m super happy.. I traded in my Ford F-150 2015 which I loved too but this ram is amazing and rides even better
Tell that dude to hurry up and release the HD version with that 12 inch screen and new body. So I can get the aev prospectors XL in the new body/interior!!
If you can't afford a Raptor for an off road half ton, I personally think the Tundra TRD pro is the best option. Simpler, more honest design. The Dodge may be a better daily driver, but I wouldn't want all those fancy gadgets exposed to regular harsh off road driving.
Absolutely the Rebel should be taken into account for a long term review
At least this engineer knows what he’s talking about unlike that Gm guy they had who didn’t know anything
YES!!! Get a this as a long term test truck.
good looking fully featured truck...and yes ROMAN..this should be used as a long term truck on TFL
Jeff Jassby that’s if it lasts
It will outlast the rapter no doubt.
Nice! I'm so glad the rebels are available without air suspension. Nice option, but not if your going to be lifting it anyways.
Your truck reviews are the BEST on the internet. You guys are great to watch.
Saw one at the dealer today. By far the best 2019 ram 1500. Extremely hard core looking. Seriously considering one.
This is a must for a long term test. My wife and I were driving through the local ram lot this past weekend and she said “I love that one”. It was of coarse a rebel. Go for it guys.

I would love to see the REBEL as a long term test truck. Also, want to see a E-torque real world mpg numbers. Keep up the great vids.

What an amazing truck!!! Wow, easily truck of the year!!!!! Great job Ram engineers.
Yes a RAM 1500 Rebel 12 would be an awesome long term truck. Titan trials vs Rebel ...
Yes, please do long term review on this truck. Most people love the new Rams but are still hesitant to purchase due to reliability questions.
This Rebel would be perfect! Just add the RamBox option. Would love to see how practical those can be and the many uses you can find for them.
Absolutely bring the Rebel in for long-term! I'd love to see more videos with it.

Definitely make this truck a long term vehicle. I'm really interested in seeing how she holds up.
I would enjoy watching and hearing your reviews on a long term 2019 RAM Rebel! Ram passed Chevy in sales last month because of this new design, it will be interesting to see if that becomes a monthly trend.
Ram been out selling Chevy in Canada for years. So I wouldn't be surprise if they manage to take the US market #2 spot from Chevy.
@@allenyee4782 In Canada Ram often offers the HD. with the Diesel at no extra charge, that's the only reason they have good sales numbers.
I agree that this truck should be used as your long term truck on TFL love to see how it performs for you all
Good video, totally awesome looking truck full of features; and this should definitely be one of your long term trucks on TFL
I JUST bought a 2018 F150 EcoBoost !!! Damn, I bought the wrong truck! That Rebel looks freaking incredible!!!!
Heck yea! Trade in that Fiesta and get the new Ram Rebel as a long term. You will be glad you did. I have a loaded 16 Ram 1500 with air suspension and the Ram boxes and love it. Wish I could afford the new one.
That’s a great price for the package. but when you!try to add it, it adds an additional 5500 in options to that 3k. so really its close to 9k extra.
Can you please do a 0-60 comparison between the 5.7 with and without etorque?
SkyKnight209 I have a 19 Rebel with etorque and I could seriously tell by the 0-60 video these guys did that my etorque is quicker.
A lot of videos of people testing that, it's about a full second faster with the e-torque
Marcus can you link those videos?
Marcus I would like to see that because the 5.7l hemi v8 is fast as hell the truck shoots off faster then most cars
You guys are awesome! I really appreciate the unbiased reviews. Like most of them this one was great!
Yes, the rebel should be the truck of choice. ETorque, red exterior with crew cab for enough space for the boys and panoramic sunroof.
Yes, Rebel long term would be awesome! It is meant to be the jack of all trades, see how that holds up!
I think the biggest question that surfaces with the new Ram is this...with all the technology (big screen, e torque, air suspension, does it effect reliability? I would love to see a longterm review done on the new Ram and this model in particular.
Definitely the rebel. It’s an amazing truck. Is Ram getting ready to take over the truck industry?
Another 20 or 30 years of improvements and maybe they with catch up to the big 2.
Test drove every truck out there before purchasing and loving my limited Ram with etorque and air ride . It's the smoothest, best interior, quietest and most technologically advanced of them all. Purchased the lifetime warranty with unlimited miles for $2695 so I'll just handoff this truck to my son.
vince gutierrez lifetime warranties are not transferable though.
It is his son. He doesn't need to change the title on the truck.
Allen Yee
Smart
While the Rebel 12 option is $2,900, saying that is what it costs is a bit inaccurate because selecting that option, FORCES an additional $3,000 option to be selected.
So it is really a $6,000 option.
I wonder which of these three features will fail or start giving problems first. In order, here`s my guess. E-Torque, 12 inch screen, then the air suspension.
Yes! Do the rebel as the long term truck! Idmalso be curious to see a review of the v6 rebel on your series of tests...Ike, mpg, towing etc...
By far the nicest truck on the market right now
That truck in the video is the exact truck I'm trying to order, but my dealership told me that I won't be able to order it with an eTorque until January at the earliest -- and that's with a March 2019 delivery! The availability of the eTorque itself is apparently the problem.

YES! Get the Rebel as a long term test truck please!
Yes, good truck for long term testing
Yes test this truck. It's a good candidate because of the etorque and air suspension. Also would be nice to see how the other options make out. ex: rear locker, sunroof and 12" infotainment

$62,000. Holy cow
Chris Shaw right! I mean, I can afford one but I just can’t justify the price of any new loaded up vehicle. I’ll buy used and keep putting money away.
I know right. These gas engine truck prices are outrageous. At least the raptor fills a specialty niche, for its price tag, this thing is just expensive for the luxury.

Yeah I'm gonna stick with the big horn.
I don't think $62k is in the $75k range, but if $13k doesn't mean that much to you, consider yourself lucky.
Definitely long term candidate, I feel like a large group of your viewers tune in for this segment of truck. So choose from this, the trail boss, tundra trd ect
I bought the rebel with 8.4 inch screen an 2 weeks later the 12 came out. But I'm happy overall, wish I had the rambox
Yes the Rebel because it's easy to say hey this is what's offered, but how will it do long term. So, yes this should be the vehicle you choose.
I would love to see you do a long term Rebel!
Props to ram I’ve always liked fords but man this looks good and that interior! Rebel adds just enough aggression to make this look good, the standard 1500 looks too muted.
Yes, make this a longterm tester!
Wow, I'm a Power Wagon guy, but this new Rebel is impressive!
Ram has always been the under dog of the big three
i just went and test drove and bought one today ..... it did not have the air shocks or E-torque but i needed the 12 and sunroof your videos had me knowing more than the salesman lol . you may want to add how to tell the difference without the keys , the airshocks look empty inside the springs , the regular shocks are Blue inside the springs , from looking above the wheels in the front . i wanted the air but it was not a deal breaker . :) . i would rather have the 12 / sunroof to enjoy on my way to south florida mudding lol . Everything was new, redesigned, first in class. It would be really interesting to see how those all hold up long term.
I own one. Skipped the etorque but my 2019 Rebel 12 is as nice as anything out there.
When I was at the Ram dealer a few weeks ago they said they've been having tons of issues with the E-torque system. Can you guys ask them about that?
Yes, make it a long-term TFLnow
YES to long term testing
Why do none of them provide permanent 4x4? It's not like it's a new feature, your old Disco 2 has it and it existed for decades before that.
It's a feature that is of genuine help and I appreciate on my own car.
Yes, on the long term test!!
Love my 2018 rebel.
In a world of $70k F150s that price isn’t too bad haha
Definitely get this for long term!!
I think a Ram would be a fine addition to TFL, doesn’t even need to be the Rebel 12, the regular Rebel would do nicely.
2019 rams look beautiful 😍
This would be entertaining to watch as the next long term truck
It would be an awesome long term truck!
Long term for sure!👍
I remember getting a Silverado LT z71 with towing package in 2005 for $35k...
Trucks have gotten way out of control in pricing. This is probably why their resale value stays high, because people don’t want to buy another one causing the supply to dip below quantity demanded.
These artificial market devices, tariffs on truck imports, need to go. Are law makers afraid that American trucks cannot compete with the world?
Yes, I would like to see a RAM for long term review. This could be the Rebel. However, I am interested in the RAM HD 2500 / 3500.
Yes Please make this a long term test vehicle!!!
Definitely needs to be a long term Truck!!!
What happened to the 575hp Hemi that they were talking about a few years back? That would be a showstopper and a must-have truck!
Do it! This truck will treat you quite well.
Do more videos on the rebel!! I just purchased one. great videos..
MSRP at 62k but realistically 52k by the time you add discounts/rebates. Really beautiful truck if I'm honest.
YES YES YES YES YES! Get a Rebel! I LOVE the Rebel!
I will be getting one! 👍
Doesn’t this guy sound like the dad from step brothers?
Get the Rebel12 ! As the long term truck!
I have the same truck but with the 8” screen and I’m super happy.. I traded in my Ford F-150 2015 which I loved too but this ram is amazing and rides even better
Rebel long term this year. New Powerwagon next year.
Wow..62K will get me a very well optioned one ton diesel.
Tell that dude to hurry up and release the HD version with that 12 inch screen and new body. So I can get the aev prospectors XL in the new body/interior!!
Do it! Long term test it please!
My dream truck even the color... Holy shit what a beast
Wow!!!! Look at all those cool buttons, speakers, and oh it's a Dodge. Never mind... Lol.
REBEL! Take the Rebel onboard. Definitely!
Beautiful. I want one of this model.
Long term rebel will be awesome
Heck yeah! Long term
You're based in Colorado. The Rebel is the long-term vehicle no-brainer. :)
If you can't afford a Raptor for an off road half ton, I personally think the Tundra TRD pro is the best option. Simpler, more honest design. The Dodge may be a better daily driver, but I wouldn't want all those fancy gadgets exposed to regular harsh off road driving.
Make this your long term tester!
Consider it
