looks awesome man, when you where talking about changing the angle when truing up the scales, the way I do it is I'll put blue painters tape on the back of each scale then a little drop of ca glue and glue them together, I make the angle cut then true them up glued together, both sides of the spacer . that way I know they are all symmetrical. then take a razor blade and pop them apart and glue them up. I also glue the g10 to my spacer piece before glueing to the scales because I've had them float up.

Glad I watched the whole video, I was going to comment that I was surprised you didn't use a liner. I do this EXACTLY the same way as you BUT I use a .062 micarta or g10 liner during initial glue up. Don't know if it matters as to when it's done but yeah, always with the liners for me, and you too it looks like. thanks bro, great video.

Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Next time I do segmented scales I’ll epoxy the scales first and then on to the liners like you said. I typically do it all at the same time and it’s difficult to get and clamp everything together.

Yes! It definitely turns out better for me doing it in two different glue ups! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tips! You really need a dust collector for all of your handle scale grinding. Nobody is allowed to grind handle material in my shop without my dust collector being turned on.

Thank you for taking the time to review the steps in making handles. I was curious, Would you share where you purchased the Block of tusk from?

Very helpful video. Why don't you glue liners on during this part of the process?

Appreciate you always sharing your art, you make a great teacher. Have you ever tried vulcanized fiber for liners? If so, what are your thoughts on working with it?

Quick question why when you cut your main scale piece of angle why did you not place them on top of each other so when you sand them the angles would be identical, if anything changed it seems like clapping those two on their sides together and sanding them at the same time within sure you have always a perfect angle? I see lots of people do this with hot glue, wax, single side clear, painters or masking tape with super glue or Apoxsee or double sided tape which all is dissolved by acetone having and see them do all four cut pieces to ensure all four pieces are the same angle and sand at the same time.

Mammoth is by far (not even close) my favorite handle material. I will need more experience before trying to work with it. I would be devastated if I messed it up.
Handles are hard. I cut 5 tries off my last knife and I still don't like the handle I have on it. I'm gonna cut it back off and try again soon. It's a hidden tang bowie.

How much would you charge just to do a drop on scale. That white alone looks sweet. Great work. 👍🏿
