If she was likable, she should have beat him with the same margin that Ronald Reagan beat Walter Mondale in 1984.

How did we go from such a classy, composed, educated, thoughtful well spoken leader to a dementia patient and a belligerent felon. Obama made me feel proud to be an American!
President Obama was the best president of my lifetime. Don't fall for the Fox, OAN, and Newsmax (among others, like Republicans in Congress) selling the idea that he has dementia. Yes, he's the oldest president, but he is still very good at his job, and exceptional as a decent human being who truly cares about the people of this country. He doesn't cater to the rich, or spend his time golfing and lying every five minutes. If it weren't for trump, I have no doubt that he would have loved to retire.
Why? Obama is a puppet just like Joe. Your post reminds me of a Biden quote: "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man."

First cell phone with filming capabilities was released in 2000-01, where some clips of 9/11 were recorded by mobile phone.

It's bittersweet watching old videos of Obama, because I remember how exciting it was when he was elected, yet I'm also reminded of how disappointing his Presidency was in the end.
100%. I was a kid then though, and a young adult when he left. I remember begging my mom to let me skip school to see his inauguration…only to find out they ended up showing it in the school auditorium anyway.

These days, I am busy reading his book, The Promised Land. No one denies his great personality, but he is a politician whose motto is that the end justifies the means, and his greatest goal is not to let this world live in peace.

Barack Obama is one of the smartest, most erudite speakers I've seen. He tried to bring the country together, but unfortunately, we learned just how many racist people there are in America. Its disappointing, because he's probably the best president of my lifetime. He was very respected by our allies, and showed that he was there to help the people in America, even the haters. The way he and Michelle were treated by the far right was despicable, but he and the former first lady showed nothing but class and integrity for those eight years and beyond.

I love the quote from now-former President Obama back in 2007: "We have a narrow window to solve some of the problems we face. Ten years from now, we may not be in a position to recover the sense of respect we have around the world that we have lost over the last six years." The answer to his statement is in 2017, the respect was eviscerated by 2017 by having Donald Trump in office in the United States as president. We Americans now have zero self-respect for each other and are completely tribal down the party lines, so no we do not have the "sense of respect we [had] around the world".

He and his Administration brought us back from the Great Recession. Do you remember what a terrible time that was? People losing their homes and banks closing. It wasn't called the Great Recession for nothing. And he got Obamacare through Congress. I was on it for two years and it allowed me to retire early. Love Obama!
