Close your eyes, this is not a 8 year old, this could been any famous drummer on the set...This girl is still developing at a tender age, I would rate her already at a session drummer level, absolutely pro level at the very least. She is incredible sense of timing and coordination, she just rocks. Amazing I am constantly blown away by how good she is, a lots of drummers can rock, few can make drums talk she is one of these.
Came here for Yoyoka and was pleasantly surprised to see Seika High School Wind Club also performing. A commenter said these kids didn't swing and Yoyoka had to pull them along. Rubbish. The Japanese school wind clubs are miles ahead of other countries school bands. Just watch Kyoto Tachibana at the 2018 Rose Bowl parade and many others I could mention. They abandoned the Sousa style of music years ago and most of them really do have a big band sound. Specially a group called Onishi Gakuen Jr and Sr high school band.
Everybody knows how good Yoyoka is, but what about the people holding the flags? They were able to hold them the whole song, and didn't drop a single one.

After watching Yoyoka videos, clips of this marching band were suggested. It's great to see them and Yoyoka performing together. Sound great together.

Unfortunately the band kids just can't swing. You can see her working so hard but there's only so much you can do to pull the band along.
すごいな。yoyokaちゃん、、前半で少し走った？？とおもった、、、けど違う。走ってるのはブラス、、しかもかなりリズムバラバラ。yoyokaちゃんが合わせにいってる。マーチングバンドは普段と勝手がちがうのか、緊張なのか、指揮が見えないのか、条件が悪かったんだろうけどね。それにしてもyoyokaちゃんのセンス、感性が光るなぁ。

コメントありがとうございます。よよかちゃんを何度か直接取材させてもらいましたが、“負わせる”というよりは、彼女自身が楽しんでやっているというのが強い印象でした。
だからこそ、プロミュージシャンがそれに呼応して、彼女との共演をオファーしている状況です。
重責があるとしたら、周りの大人かもしれません。よよかちゃんのパワフルさについていこうと、逆に周りの大人たちが鼓舞されている感じです。

川口千里ちゃんとも違う根っからのロックドラマーだ。Sinaと良い勝負だと思う。
Deep Purple Burn のカバー演奏で Sina に勝ちましたね、本家 Ian Paice のリアクション動画で勝負あったり、 Sina は普通に感心してましたが Yoyoka さんは驚きと絶賛でした。
sing sing singは全然スイングのリズムしてないけど、リズム感の良さとキメの良さは素晴らしいので、なかなか良いですね。ただ吹奏楽のリズムの悪さつられてしまってるのが残念。
もうちょっとスィングしてバンドを演奏し易く出来たらジーンクルーパやバディリッチの様にバンドを引っ張れるパワーがある子なので非常に楽しみです。
ステージに登ると子どもには全く見えません！
よよかちゃんのファンだけど笑顔が見られないのが気になります。
35000人の観衆が見ている大ホールで少し緊張したけれど演奏は楽しめたと後でコメントしていました。緊張は当たり前ですが凄い度胸で感心します。次はさらなる大観衆でも平気でしょう。
