On point review AC. Sauvage Parfum is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. It sticks to my skin like glue and is a stunning and strong fragrance. Beautifully blended. Parfums tend to come alive when your body heats up. Put one spray of Sauvage Parfum on my forearm. Went and did spa and sauna couple hours later. Even after the spa and sauna plus a shower, I culd still strongly detect the scent on my forearm. Incredible. Ladies love smelling Sauvage Parfum. Their reactions are crazy. Will be getting a 200ml back up bottle Christmas time. It's criminal the Parfum only gets a 4.0 on Fragrantica. Haven't worn the EDT since I bought the Parfum. Have all concentrations and Parfum is my absolute favourite.
That sweet resinous top note is exquisite, I may have jumped the gun on this one and got the EDP. I honestly love the whole line but this is my favorite but I don't think I can justify it being that I also have 100 ml EDT. The Parfum seems the most versatile as well for everyday use considering the ambroxin is scaled back in this one. Best Reviews in frag com by far! Keep pumping out great content!

love sauvage, theres a lot of haters but because they like to hate popular things. Honestly sauvage with its over ambroxan reminds me of what Ernest Beaux made in 1921 with the over aldehydes, revolutionary.
This stuff is great ác a lot of people give out about it and I can see why u can smell it every where but I'll tell you wear it dressed up and u will smell great I think it's one of d best in my opinion and lasts all day

haha ahh after the young guy reference for the edt , i thought, i bet he shows Clooney!... on the point of the fragrance, ive had a sample and i do love it. theres something i get from it that ive never heard anyone else say mind you, i get a kind of sunscreen feel from it and not totally smelling like sunscreen at all but just something akin to sunscreenyness even with a saltyness but not necessarily a beachy feel or marine , aside from the overall scent which is really good, its that unusual factor that i get from it that makes me love it the most

It's actually one my favorites! Lord that smells so good because those base notes are pronounced. That tonka and sandalwood on creamy vanilla, excellent. The only problem is I'm the only one that can smell it lol!
I wouldn’t go with any sauvage to be honest. I almost went through a 100ml of the edt before everyone was using it. I tried the parfum it does smell more sophisticated but I wish the stuck with edt and turned it nuclear instead.

AC, Great analysis yet, again.. Once more, I shall strongly contemplate getting this as well as the BDC. I love the edt, and just, like the edp, as I think it tries to have and do too much and therefore, runs into itself.. The Parfum, is it detectable?.. is my concern. Much, Alohas, AC.
then I belong in group 3 I love these fragrances all of them are so perfect in their own way 😍 sauvage for the summer lasts a long time and the smell is perfect edp for work and perfume for the evening 😜
Greetings from TX. I purchased the EDT and was similarly repelled by it! I was lucky enough to be able to exchange it for the EDP., which I really liked. I think the difference was the very sharp pepper note. I find the EDP much more refined and rounded and so much more classy. It has very nice projection and longevity and lasts for days when sprayed on clothes. Much later the parfum came out, which I have not had a chance to sample. But seeing you rave about it, I will try it. Be safe, stay healthy and happy fragrancing!

I am actually searching for a woody spicy fragrace ( as a big lover for spices like cloves and cardamom) I am also wondering what is your favouriet Tobacco fragrace? ..do you have any sugesstion? I bought many fragrances under your suggestion one of them is Histoire des parfums Fidelis and the fragrance is amazing!! . I never thought you would suggest Blue mass-appealing fragrances, you really make me look again on those "everyone has it" products, but how do you find it $80 as you said for 100ml? I see it at $150 which is more of a niche pricing ...not sure it is worth it...

I got my hands on Sauvage EDP, but the freshness does not last long, and I am getting this metallic dry down, which I dislike. Is the metallic smell coming from the Ambroxan and pepper? Doe the Parfum version has a metallic smell as well? Judging by your review, it seems like Parfum removes the metallic smell.
It's definitely the most rounded. You get a lot of resinous mandarin. That being said I don't know if the edt and edp had metallic aldehydes in them but that's not here in the parfum. Ambroxin on it's own doesn't have a metallic scent to my nose. Hope that helps!

I have both and although I like them a lot I need to be in the mood for those. Well, I guess like with all scents but more so with Sauvage. AND AC MUST HAVE SOME SERIOUS BDE BECAUSE HE GETS TONS OF COMPLIMENTS FROM WOMEN ALL THE TIME! 😂

There is some chemical compound which is mixed with ambroxan that comes off really harsh and offensive to my nose... Btw, totally different topic: I'd be curious to see your review on Nasomatto fragrances if you have the chance. I sampled black afgano and pardon yesterday. I think you would like them.

This smells exactly like the dry down of BdC parfum to me as well. It is a great fresh opening but dry downs on both have a strange woody feel.

The first time I smelled this one I said Waoow just hearing myself saying it. It's very rare for me because I don't like ambroxan?!

Sorry AC, cannot relate on this one. To me, all versions of Sauvage are the 3 stooges of perfumery.
I actually dislike all of them.. to my nose they smell super cheap and chemical like all ambroxan scents
