      Yeah, because... oh wait, the 2009 CTS-V broke the world record for fastest 4-door car on the nurburgring. Being literally the fastest 4-door on the Nurburgring is an odd way of determining that it's at rock bottom. What logic were you using to make that determination again?

    • @EIGHTLUG
      @EIGHTLUG 7 років тому +1

      Vernon Price
      Which had it's record promptly broken by the Porsche Panamera turbo, so what's your point?And my logic is that the company required a government bailout to remain in business. Typically, if your business is solvent, you don't need the government to bail you out to the tune of BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars. That's my logic.

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 7 років тому +2

      Curtis Heidel "Which had it's record promptly broken by the Porsche Panamera turbo, so what's your point?"
      And by "promptly" you mean months later, and in a car that cost what, $180,000? And it was only 3 seconds faster around a 13 mile track. And of course the point was that you said the current CTS-V is a result of Cadillac having been on "rock bottom" prior to this version, so I'll ask you again:
      Being literally the fastest 4-door on the Nurburgring is an odd way of determining that it's at rock bottom. What logic were you using to make that determination again?
      Come on, answer the question short bus.

    • @EIGHTLUG
      @EIGHTLUG 7 років тому

      Vernon Price
      It's not the fastest. You just said the Panamera was faster. So make up your fucking mind. And you obviously didn't read about the whole multi BILLION dollar bailout that GM needed to stay afloat. That is ROCK BOTTOM. No one bought their shitty products and the company was bankrupt. I don't know how else to explain it to you. GM is a bottom feeder, in the automotive world. The truth hurts, doesn't it.

      Steve Holsten I am working with Primerica, and striding for one of these. Not pre owned, though. New. And it is about teaching people about Finances and Insurance. Believe me, I had to change a lot just for my license. Now, all I need is people to allow me to teach them the same, I was taught. And you would be able to afford one for yourself. Because you'll be doing the best, helping families get out of scams and debt at the same time.

    This car makes my heart skip a beat when I just look at it! I am glad you said something here. Almost no car is bad now it is more about what will fit what you need and want. I hate when "reviewers" feel the need to nit pick all the time and most of it is subjective. Doing a review is not trying to find something bad or gushing over a brand that you love.

    At 80k is a good value, but damn is that pricey...until I look at a BMW equivalent. Plus, the LT4 is quite possibly the best motor EVER put in a car.

    Holden/GM fan here, I hear aussies around always saying how ugly cadillacs are and American cars in general, but I have always appreciated the different look that this body has. If I ever had the money to and somebody asked me if I wanted a gen-f2 GTS or a third gen CTS-V id still have to say a GTS, being our last ever RWD performance sedan.

      Thanks Sina, but what I'm saying is that if there is no conclusion or opinion given, there is no review, which is what happened in this "review." He concluded by saying that every choice is fine, and people should just choose whatever "brand" they're a fan of.

    • @PodiumTuningRacing
      @PodiumTuningRacing 6 років тому

      Tarence Bailey The V series actually hold their value better than most. 2010 CTS V's are still fetching 38-45k...on a 8 year old car!!! 2016 V is still 60k-70, original price was 84k base, 2017 still are in the high 70s. Trust me I've been searching for a reasonable 2016 V3 for a little while and can't find one in my price range, below 65, decent mileage. And if I do find one it's usually gone within a week.

      GM plays HP games alot. The old ZL1 supposedly had 580 vs 556 in the old V. The engines are essentially identical. The C6 LS3 Vette was rated 430-436hp, Camaro 5 426hp and SS sedan 415hp...there is nearly zero difference. It's all just a game of salesmanship and maintaing a predetermined "pecking order".

    Outside of us enthusiasts who care about this stuff, how many who are even considering this and have the means to get one will ever visit a track to flog it around to its limits? Who cares what the top speed is? It's a 4 door sedan with a trunk and will be used 99% of the time like every other 4 door sedan with a trunk gets used, hauling people and stuff from point A to B at legal speeds. Automotive journalists I think live in their own bubble where reality escapes them and everyone becomes Ayrton Senna with deep pockets and all the time in the world to visit a track when they feel like it.
