Exactly what I needed to know. I'm old and modern day tech can seem a little intimidating at times. I am truly grateful you took the time to put this video together. Subscribed immediately. U rock. ✌🏼☯️☮️🙏🏼
Nice tutorial. I went one step ahead and used my electric guitar to play a couple of string and wind instruments on Bandlab. Opens up a whole world of possibilities. Would be happy to post the link to an instrumental I recorded.
I try to record my guitar as the beat, then whenever I try to record vocals over it, within my acapella I'm hearing the guitar within it, how to fix that? using headphones only on pc
all you need to do is lower the volume of your pc when you’re recording vocals. that way the guitar won’t bleed through so easily 💪 keep making music 🌱 xolemates for life 🤍
3:02 how did you remove the metronome sound?? ....while i record my metronome sound gets recorded too and can't find a way to remove it??? Please reply much needed information for me.
You could maybe try do do some Daft Punk type stuff. Maybe more chill sad indie bedroomy style like Instant Crush or Veridis Quo so that it still fits in the channel! I'd love to see some moody synth action paired with guitar (:
Fantastic stuff brother. Thanks for recording and posting you made a real difference to my recording 😊 I recorded a chord progression in C which went well. But when I played guitar two for lead it sounded like someone was banging a cymbal in the back ground. I didn't use a mic or head phones - only my phone mic. Would that be the problem?
as you as you like the song, then there’s no problem! don’t get too bogged down by the technicalities. just make the art that you want to make 🤍😊 keep making music 🌱

Great tutorial Thx just getting started with Bandlab. This video makes it less intimidating. I recently went to studio to record 3 songs without an engineer 3,200 minimum Thx for the help
Suppose i want to record my guitar first and then sing but the problem i have is that i can't remember i played which chord at which position what can i do? Sorry for my bad English
this is a great question Zyn! whenever i write guitar parts, i also write down in my notes what chords i'm playing. or i film myself playing the guitar so i can always watch later and see what chords i'm playing! i hope this helps you out! ✌️ i just uploaded a new bandlab tutorial if you want to check that out too :)
I always try my best to write good songs but i still fail, don't know when I'd be able to write something good yet your tutorials really helped a lot thank you so much for introducing bandlab to us! Have a great day (^^)
Ive been recording acoustic & vocals together on the app & can get a decent enough sound to keep for ideas. Im tryinh to figure out how to record multi tracks while keeping each track from just overlapping on top of each other. I cant figure it out. I record a simple acoustic/vocals all the way through. I then want to start adding tracks - harmonies, doubling up vocals & guitars, appregios, fills, & stuff like that. I cannot record new tracks without the first track being in the other tracks. After 2 tracks it becomes a fuzzy mess. I tried using headphones to hear but my phone wont record from the mic if headphones are in. Is the only way to record each track over a metronome & just be as stiff as a board trying to stay exactly on time? I hate playing with a metronome & ive been playing guitar for almost 30 years. I dont vibe playing over a metronome. I like playing over the actual music. If I can figure out how to not have track 1 be recorded by the mic as im adding 2nd track over the 1st thats all id need. I cant figure it out. I tried lowering the volume for track 1 as low as possible so it barely is hearable & it still gets recorded by the mic ruining the next track. I dont know what else to do. I cant add any tracks on top of each other without them becoming a big distorted mess. And I am not the guy thats likes playing to a metronome only. Adding fills & vocal harmonies that way for me just isnt gonna cut it. I need to hear the song. Just like when recording vocals only I need to at least hold a guitar & fake strum if possible. I feel it more.
what's up! i totally feel you on this one, it's pretty difficult know how to move tracks around to make the overall song sound more clear. but the main things that help me with this is panning and EQ! if you move your tracks around left and right they can create space for other tracks that are down the middle. same with EQ! if you cut out frequencies in some tracks, it'll create more space in others! i talk about this exact thing in my new bandlab video! ua-cam.com/video/0uWwIMCs_08/v-deo.html
depends on what you're looking for! quick production like simple drums, bass, and a few more instruments is $100, but if you want anything more intricate it's around $250! email me @ "xole.services@gmail.com" and we can chat about your vision!
hmmm. that’s a great question! i’m sure a splitter would work! that way you can use one output for the recording and one output for listening to the metronome!
Hey bro, nice video. Its helpful Idk if you would still reply to comment in videos again since it was uploaded 7 months ago, but i wonder how do i record from my acoustic electric guitar directly? (Not using mic to the soundhole) Will it work the exact same way by using splitter? Or do i need atleast some cheap soundcard before plugging it into splitter?
This can’t be a coincidence, i literally just started playing guitar and this tutorial was just What i needed to record some of The stuff i’ve learned. Thank u Xole! Is The 5th time I’m saying this the lucky number? Please make a mastering tutorial🙏
Hey man!🙌 may I ask how to remove the metronome sound after recording? I mean if I ever use metronome while recording, it ended up mixing the sound of metronome along with my Melody.
yeah a way to solve that would be recording with headphones on! so that way you are not recording the metronome coming out of the phone, it will only go to your headphones
Your video contains lots of information..👌👌i loved it..how to record vocals n guitar at the same time with perfect quality on bandlab..??can you help me??
