@@ExaltedMarchJust bought this game for around 3 US Dollars at PSN... The game company "Spiders" were also behind Greedfall which is one of the top 3 RPG's i ever played along with Mass Effect 1&. Dragon Age Inquisition. 👍
I just LOVE Spiders. The sheer fuckin size of balls on these guys, when after releasing Mars : War Logs (which I also quite like tbh), they went like - well, our last game didnt do great, we have like 15 people in our team, tripple A studios are ruling the market... so lets go ahead and release Mass Effect but better lol. Im so happy to hear Greedfall is doing good financially, these guys truly have passion for what they are crafting.
@@SefniAsheforrYeah idunno what the muppet at ign reviews was on about this game. Should probably been sacked.. Spiders & Pyrana Bytes are prolly the best small studios. Ithink we can add Obsidian for The Outer Worlds? Anyone know of other top notch RPG studios?
I bought the game out of curiosity because if you're on my wishlist for a while when it went on sale at a side to get is a background game to play. And it ended up being one of the better games I have bought that I played it three times for the different stories this was a severely underrated game
So watched this video and immediately reinstalled Technomancer, found out I still had my old save game booted it up looked around and noticed all you said in your video is what I have, just like I remember. Then I played for about 1.5 hours and I finally finished the game after 2.5 years. I don't know why I stopped, but thanks for reminding me of this game. Also I love how the game recaps all your choices and their consequences at the end.
Underrated review of a underrated game. I'm quite at the end of "Chapter 3" and man I'm blown away how much the world, the lore and the story is evolving during the game. In chapter 1 I thought "Yeah, quite nice. But my two companions are boring and no Charakter is growing on me.". In chapter 2 "What the fu***!?! Now I have new companions which I knew slightly from chapter 1? And where the fu**+ am I? Oh this new city looks awesome o.O." And then everything came together in Chapter 3 "Damn, everything is so well written and thought out I love the characters, the world and the gameplay." Its right behind my all time favorites of RPGs Gothic 2, Elex, TES III Morrowind, Enderal and Witcher 3.
I just finished this game and I'm floored! Almost as soon as I started, I realized it was my new favorite game of all time, hands down, and I'm preparing to play it for a second time. It makes me so sad that no one gave this a chance!
Thanks man! This and GreedFall (and a few other games) really give me hope for the AA RPG and how it could supplement the need for more single player choice-driven story-heavy games.
I know this is an older video, I just found your channel today but I 100% agree with you. I also cannot believe how underrated this game is. My experience with Technomancer was a little buggie but because it shares certain RPG elements with the likes of KOTOR, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age while still being original easily makes this game one of my favorites of all time.
You have my attention. Also i agree Spiders tend to go unnoticed despite delivering everything in what an RPG has to offer. Though i might be biased since i have a soft spot for Double AA titles. Don't me wrong though i love indie and triple AAA games but double AA is where its at. Try out Elex and Vampyre.

I agree a massively underrated game. Sure, it is a bit slow to start and the combat can feel a bit clunky until you realise switching styles and tactics enrich the battles. I'd heavily advise playing Mars War Logs first and reading the codex it gives you an insight into the universe in which this game is set and aids you with your battle stance. I loved the storyline and it's ability to change your experience with the decisions you make along the way.
You should play Mars: War Logs in order to get an even greater appreciation of the world and see why some character seemingly just pop up for a moment and go away.
I actually played it at the same time which was really a cool experience storywise switching back and forth. I beat Mars and then went right into the end game for Technomancer which made some of the references to Aurora have a lot more weight.
@@ExaltedMarch I really liked that the events of the whole game were referenced as they were happening in parallel to the timeline in The Technomancer and you kind of learned more about the characters from Mars: War Logs in the Technomancer.

The best thing about spiders is that they have consistently improved at game creation with every new game. CD Project Red had a similar history that culminated in Witcher 3, so I have high hopes for them!

I played this havent finished it but thats cause been busy. I did like it and the combat was actually easier for me then witcher at i liked the combat. God i hate witcher 3 combat
I do find Witcher 3 combat more fluid than Technomancer but for such a small studio I'm impressed they managed to get something that feel unique and still fun.
Yea man I'm here cuz I bought this game for 5 bucks and thought nothing of it. But when I started playing I realized how good this game was n how un appreciated it was. N I thought that I was the only 1 who found this game good...good to know I wasn't 👍
I'm 8h in and will continue, but... first chapter was a slug, getting better after that. overall setting is cool but the writing/dialogues are horrendous and the delivery and voice acting is beyond B-movies... still, enjoyable and if you can get past first chapter you'll enjoy it probably. for the combat I stringly recommend playing on easy though, no point wasting more time...
You do have to play as a guy, but the option for a female protagonist was only cut for budget and time. Spider was co-founded by their CEO, creative director and lead writer who is a woman. Their studio manager is also a woman. GreedFall will have the option.
Exalted March that’s too bad, but understandable. Still, this game just looks too damn good to not play, so wish me luck! Hopefully I won’t suck at it haha
I think the poor reputation of this game is mostly deserved. I played it through because the story was quite good and some of the characters were interesting, but there are serious flaws in it that make it a very frustrating experience. In particular, combat is just not enjoyable and the map/navigation system is truly awful. If they had made it a regular third person shooter instead of that space samurai bullshit and if navigation was easier, with fast travel, I think it would have been quite well-received. The game does some things very well, but unfortunately the core gameplay elements are simply bad, which explains why most people didn't like it.
if you have a PC with more than 8 core it doesn't run and they never were able to patch it to fix that issue, which is fucking stupid. May be a great game but if I can't play it, it is hot garbage.
I appreciate that your channel has more quality content rather then just pumping out videos.

... until you play Greedfall, that is. 😉
somehow I never heard of this game. I will try it.
Its super good yet for some reason people rarly play it
I played this havent finished it but thats cause been busy. I did like it and the combat was actually easier for me then witcher at i liked the combat. God i hate witcher 3 combat
I do find Witcher 3 combat more fluid than Technomancer but for such a small studio I'm impressed they managed to get something that feel unique and still fun.
I nearly downvoted it last night but I read all the trash reviews I’m gonna get it now!
Why would you down vote something you didn't try? That's odd- unless I misunderstood you.
Yea man I'm here cuz I bought this game for 5 bucks and thought nothing of it. But when I started playing I realized how good this game was n how un appreciated it was. N I thought that I was the only 1 who found this game good...good to know I wasn't 👍
Have you considered playing Divinity Original Sin 2. It’s so great!
I love Divinity Original Sin (1 and 2). I regret that I have not beaten it (yet) but I love it. Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 are also excellent.
Play Greedfall
I'm 8h in and will continue, but... first chapter was a slug, getting better after that. overall setting is cool but the writing/dialogues are horrendous and the delivery and voice acting is beyond B-movies... still, enjoyable and if you can get past first chapter you'll enjoy it probably. for the combat I stringly recommend playing on easy though, no point wasting more time...
This game looks... incredible!!! I only have one question: do I have to play as a dude?
Unfortunately, yes, you do. Their new game coming out, Greedfall, will give you a gender choice, but Technomancer does not.
Dangerousliason well, that sucks. Still gonna play it though :)
@@elizabeth3555 You can pick it up for 20$ You can easily get 50 hours out of this game.
Most underrated RPG? Ahem, Dragon’s Dogma, ahem…
Pass go and collect 200 serums nice
I think the poor reputation of this game is mostly deserved. I played it through because the story was quite good and some of the characters were interesting, but there are serious flaws in it that make it a very frustrating experience. In particular, combat is just not enjoyable and the map/navigation system is truly awful. If they had made it a regular third person shooter instead of that space samurai bullshit and if navigation was easier, with fast travel, I think it would have been quite well-received. The game does some things very well, but unfortunately the core gameplay elements are simply bad, which explains why most people didn't like it.
Na man I play Elex.
Elex has actually been on my try list for a while. What do you like about it?
The atmosphere and story is too nice but the gameplay has serious errors.
Sadly, the game did everything right except what you're doing most: combat
I can't get past 3 hrs in this game. The co.bat is entirely too clunky. It's awful. Every spiders game I try, has the same problem.
if you have a PC with more than 8 core it doesn't run and they never were able to patch it to fix that issue, which is fucking stupid. May be a great game but if I can't play it, it is hot garbage.
...nah this game was trash lol
