The golden halla remains one of my worst enemies - herding that damn thing to the Clan is so frustrating, the amount of swear words that leave me every time I do the task is alarming.
I love this playthrough, but I literally groaned when she glossed over the war table mission "specializations for the Inquisitor". The suspense of what class she'll pick is killing me! Will it be the one-hit-wonder, the explosion-enthusiast or the drugfiend?! I have to know!😂
I’ve never been so excited to watch someone else play a game before. I literally CANNOT wait for your reaction to the very end of this. That’s gonna be top notch. Please noone spoil anything to you ✨ 🤞🏻 💜 ps. I genuinely think you should avoid reading comments and scrolling internet at this point until you are done with the Trespasser dlc :p
For the War Table feeling like it's getting overwhelming, all of the Resources (Hinterlands Resources, Crestwood Resources, etc.) are repeatable. So try not to prioritize those missions unless you're farming for a specific herb or mineral. Gather Coin, Herbs, Leathers, Cloth, and Metal are the same. If you're looking to clear the table, try to do the other ones first.
You are so keyed in to where the narrative is leading you sometimes, it's really fun to see you guess things and then be proved right just a bit later, whether in the same episodes or a few down the line. I'm excited to see how things continue to go! thanks for sharing :D
the veilfire is always there for a reason; you might have to do some more thorough searching of the walls in different ruins around the area to find the glyphs. also if you listen closely, there are sounds when you're near a hidden glyph!
2:07:00 Kiki, regarding the haunted/spirit infested sacred ground: You will want to loot the graves to gain access to the crypt but only AFTER gaining the trust of the dalish clan. If you do it before completing the quests to gain their friendship, the keeper will be very angry and chances will be very low of you gaining their favor. Once you have their favor, it won't count against you if you raid the burial ground to get the key to the crypt.
You know, sacrificing Hawke (your alter ego basically) to save Alistair is about the noblest thing you can do in this game. Even more noble if it's sacrificing a warden you only just meet in this game, or even Logain. The inquisitor on the other hand should be at least somewhat of a hard nosed pragmatists, hard to say, really, which is the most pragmatic solution. In my final run through of the trilogy before I play Veilguard I'm making Logain a warden, which means Alastair, I believe, becomes a drunk, and I'll be marrying Anora to become king. That's a version I've never played before, and I want to see how the Inquisitor and Hawke interact with him.
You could understand the conversation between Solas and his dying demon/spirit spirit friend because they spoke elven and you are playing as a dalish elf.
The scene with Cole was not about Solas, it’s an important part of Cole’s quest. Letting him go with Solas, is Ghost Cole. Letting him go with Varric, human Cole. I made him human :D But yeah, it’s nice to see someone playing even now before Veilguard. It doesn’t impress me much yet, because I don’t like the Veilguard graphics. But watching these video makes me want to play the older DA games again, all odds them :D
If you ever do a second dragon age playthrough, try downloading the "War Table - No waiting" mod. It makes the war table so much easier and quicker to handle. Plus by the time one of the advisors are ready to report in I often forget what the mission was 😆 The mod really helps with that. Great video btw 😊
Ah yes, the Solas route. Hope you're having fun with it! Excited to see your thoughts and reactions as it progresses. (But also when you finish DAI I recommend watching scenes of the other romances. Some of them are hilarious or otherwise interesting with insights into each character. I think DAI really went in with their romances tbh.) Oh and also the Siding with the Templars quest.(As a staunch pro mage DA fan it took me ages to actually experience it because of my opinions but its actually a very interesting quest that provides context on some things i didnt know the answer to and worth at least a look.) Also! The Deep Roads and Frostback Basin buttons on your map lead to the two of 3 DLCs. I don't really think there is a preferred time to play them. (probably before Trespasser which is after the endgame) But they might feel a little out of place if you don't know they're DLCs so just a small note. (I must admit they went all out with their DLCs. I think the Deeproads one is my favorite DLC out of the whole series tbh. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
Ah, I see you've now fallen into the Solavellan well...good, good. 😌 Regarding thoughts on Merrill and Marethari in DA2: no, it wasn't the keeper who corrupted the entity sealed in the idol. Merril herself reveals that it had been used as a weapon many centuries before, during the war between the Tevinter Imperium and the elves. Was it already a demon before being summoned? Or was it a spirit at first, and then corrupted after being used as a weapon? This cannot be known. What is certain is that when it was imprisoned in the statue it _was_ already a demon, and it was already a demon when Merril began to contact it.
There are technically ways to "cheat" the war table by changing your PC's clock or something, it is indeed possible you won't be able to do them all except if you are waiting for them to complete before continuing the actual game.
"We never actually met the demon." One of many reasons I believed Merrill over the Keeper and the rest. Merill is actually DOING the thing and is NOT an idiot. She also recognizes the dangers involved and has constantly said SHE is the only that should be paying any prices for her actions. She never asked the clan to interfere in what she was doing. It's this exact reason why I end up killing Merrills clan anytime I play DA2. They refuse to see they were IDIOTS and attacked me for it. Doing a rivalmance with Merril is basically gaslighting her into thinking she's an idiot, when she's really not.
yesss! My exact thoughts I could never bring myself into rivalmancing Merrill and she’s my canon Hawke romance!! Friendship route is the way to go and I took responsibility for her actions so her clan yet still lived I didn’t know you could kill them :v
@@welovesimbala4150 I can't do that to her. Taking responsibility for 'her' actions implies she's a child and you're her parent. She made her choices, I'm not going to pretend the Keeper wasn't stupid for being possessed over fear. But yeah, if you don't take responsibility, they get 'fed up' with her, as if the Keeper being stupid and getting possessed was somehow Merrills fault. As far as I'm concerned, they got what was coming to them when they came for me, and I have no regrets each time. Self-defense, assholes.
hmm, but "accepting the consequences of her actions" means being possessed and dying; It seems to me that you completely overlook the fact that without Marethari's intervention it would have been Merril who died. Merril was ready to die to repair the Eluvian, ok, but how to sacrifice herself to save the life of her disciple makes Marethari a bad person? While not caring at all of her and watching her disciple die an orrible death would have been the morallly correct thing to do? Also, "the clan deserves to die"... The _whole_ clan? Warriors and civilians, men, women, children (because with all the adults dead, how would they survive?), _all of them_ deserve to die? May I point out that they certainly didn't come to your house to try to kill you, but _you_ were the one who entered one of their sacred sites...? 🤨
@ I agree 100% with you! I’m glad I didn’t massacre her clan as it wouldn’t have fit with my pragmatic Hawke. Merrill’s story is just so compelling and heart breaking as I sacrificed my Hawke in the fade leaving her all alone.
I think you also needs Cole for that party to actually initiate the romance between the two of them officially. I think they'd just flirt with each other otherwise but not actually date each other.
