It's a rare talent to be able to play such a calm and chill song without mistakes when your camera battery is running low (2:26). Nice to hear this tune again dude! :)
I would love Rob to make a post-rock album someday. I think he’d be able to write a perfect album in that style. He could even have one epic song where he plays cello and strings and trumpet, I mean the guy knows how to play everything it’s incredible
This song makes me think of how you feel after something really bad happens to you. Like how after the dust settles and you try to recoup and think back on what just happened, but you can’t force yourself to go through those feelings again. I love this album
everytime i see rob play it's so magnetising. you can see the passion whenever he plays, whether it's metal or this kind of music. it always feels genuine. and that kind of thing is very much appreciated, especially these days.
One of my favorite classic Rob Scallon songs, this Anchor and anything off the self titled are the soundtrack of my life. Thanks for revisiting this Rob!
Train you ear and watch Rob's fingering to help. It's a useful challenge for ear training and you'll feel auto sufficient. Edit: Don't go crazy on his harmonics on the 1st string, he tunes it in F#
This is definitely one of my favourite pieces you've made. The mixing is a little sharp for my taste, but the melodies and how you were so good at letting the notes ring makes it so satisfying to listen to. Great job!
This is an incredible bass song. The way you use it really makes the bass shine as an instrument. This is litteraly "no bass is not "just an accompaniment instrument". It's a beautiful piece
Tab book ? Im gonna order so fast, it breaks the website. And Ill continue to support you on Patreon and whatever you do... Rob, you have no idea how much of an inspiration you are to me in my life right now, Ive followed you awhile now and you continue to be the only guitarist that makes me feel ‘feelings’. For that Im truely grateful :)
I remember listening to this song after school just going home, and it just made my day ever so slightly better. Enough to still be here, thanks Rob 🖤✨
gotta thank you for the all great music man I sub-ed years ago and I find myself still to this day, whenever I get writers block for my own music I go back and write lyrics to your songs to get my head going in the right direction its helped me become a better musician and to clear my head for better music man you're awesome dude
this is so weird! i was playing part of a collapse on my upright bass at school today and i was not expecting to see this when i came home, but it was beautiful to see this pop up! god bless you rob for making this beautiful piece of art!
Man, this is probably my favorite song off of Anchor. Oh what am I kidding, every song off that album was great. The cinematography in this video is amazing too, with the screens, great idea!
This is absolutely amazing. I usually pull up "loef acoustic bass" for my calming bass jam but I think this just took its place. Thank you for composing this work of art.
Hey Rob, I just wanted to say nice job, I've been watching you for around 1 and a half years now. I love your music and I got my mom hooked on it also. Keep up the good work!
Love the way you play harmonics, they sound so magical!
Yes!
I agree. I just learned how to play the A and D harmonics on the D and G strings.
Echoes of Jaco
Bromance
Nope, according to the description, it is Davie405's. Somebody completely different...
Pretty bass! Davie doing something on your 8 string would be nice now!
hopefully something sexual
(GONE WRONG!)
Max Bg yeah that’s a good idea

Hi Pete Cottrell
Beautiful tune! By the way I love your videos:)
Pete Cottrell I
how...how did you see that?
Eagle eye, I did have to play it in 0.25 speed to notice it.
Where are you guys looking at?

Bass sounds so cool when played as the main instrument, instead of just backing track.
One of my favorite classic Rob Scallon songs, this Anchor and anything off the self titled are the soundtrack of my life. Thanks for revisiting this Rob!
Creators supporting creators. My favorite thing. No one person is "too good" to do this kind of stuff. Seeing Rob play Davies signature made my day.
This was just simply beautiful, the harmonics gave me chills.
One of the greatest bass songs ever written.
Such a beautiful bass line ! Show this to anyone who thinks bass is just an easier guitar! Excited for the tab book too!
Crysis Music Maybe guitar is just a easier bass
Guitar and bass are both lute for noob
Euronymous 10 minute epic lute ballad pls Rob

This is my favorite song from your discography and I’m always happy when you revisit this piece in videos
Man. I might steal the TV idea... Holy crap haha :)
This was probably the most soulful bass I have heard in a long time. Those harmonics were just out of this world!
Got chills from listening
The colors in this video were absolutely stunning. The purple trumpet, cello and shirt delieveres so much atmosphere. Thumbs up

Hilarious, I bet no one has ever done this before
Literally just the most beautiful song I've heard in a while.
So glad to see Rob playing davie's signature bass
This is definitely one of my favourite pieces you've made. The mixing is a little sharp for my taste, but the melodies and how you were so good at letting the notes ring makes it so satisfying to listen to. Great job!
Do half hour of this song
His half an hour of playing bass is basically half an hour of this song
Well, starting from around the 15 minute mark, you can hear it developing. ua-cam.com/video/otUm7aZZ-8c/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/otUm7aZZ-8c/v-deo.htmlm10s for the part that sounds like this song.
Everything Rob plays has a piece of his heart in it, and i love that. Thanks for the years of great content so far!
also why is everything purple?

Danm Rob is playing bass without slapping
Yeah the primus is usually strong in this one
Ahhhhh the good ol Rob's songs. Brings me back
Absolutely epic! Thanks for sharing this!
It's easy to forget how talented you are at multiple instruments since you mainly showcase your guitar skills. Amazing song, thanks.
I'm a simple man... I see Rob, I press like.
I remember listening to this song after school just going home, and it just made my day ever so slightly better. Enough to still be here, thanks Rob 🖤✨
Really good work - Everything about this video is professional - Thanks and Peace
This sound feels so emotional to me, I truly love it. Would love to hear a half hour version of this! Absolutely beautiful, thank you!

This is my favorite bass solo tune of all time, so happy to hear you play it again.
Nice, its Davies signature Bass.
Bass as a solo instrument sound so magical, I wish more musicians used this method, I will.
Love it!
i didn't realize playing bass on its own could sound so good, the solo sounded quick full it was really amazing, yeah rob!!!
Getting nostalgic, Rob? Also Davie's bass is cool!
I actually follow you as a result of your full lengths so seeing you perform a track like this is a massive pleasure. Good stuff rob.

Is that the Davie504 signature bass you're using?
Andrew Ross good spot
I don’t think it is
No, it's a toaster
Yes it is. Says so in the description
Just because its in the description doesn't mean its not actually a toaster

Hey Rob he‘s called Davie504. You wrote Davie405 in your description. You‘re welcome.
Krischa oh yea now you mention it
Davie404:
Davie not found
This is a brilliant solo. Shows just how versatile a bass can be
Drop tune that bass 😁
The harmonics have such a round sound. I love it.
Davie508 bass buen buen video (good good)
Such a talented musician, every harmonic you played was a shiver on my back
Amazing job Rob, keep this shit up
"Portrait of Rob"
Hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for this.

like disposition by tool

Man, this is probably my favorite song off of Anchor. Oh what am I kidding, every song off that album was great. The cinematography in this video is amazing too, with the screens, great idea!
Did anyone else think this was gonna be him colapsing during a live stream?
Jhgfljugc Ijggfdgjiii No.
I actually thought that when I saw the notification
Seriously thought this was a cover song of After The Burial's Collapse.
This has inspired more then even words can describe, keep being amazing rob
Do a song by only using pinch harmonics
Dishad Lankesha he already did that check out his song challenge playlist
Sarea Al shaleh yeah sure😍😍
I'm excited for this tab - can't wait.
I think this bass sounds too good for this song
HyperEetu what?
This makes no sense
Wtf
Lol
On the orginal song the old squier p-bass had better tone. It wasn't perfect like with this bass.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Pleasant to watch with all the purple accent's, pleasant to listen to. Genuinely beautiful.
Harmonics on bass sounds so heavenly!
Love that pinch harmonics
This is absolutely amazing.
I usually pull up "loef acoustic bass" for my calming bass jam but I think this just took its place. Thank you for composing this work of art.
Wow your sound touched my heart! Amazing Rob.
One of my favourites of yours. So glad to hear it again after so long
This is my favorite Rob song ever. Great job, you're awesome.
I never knew a bass guitar could sound so beautiful.
Very nice. Mozart nice. I have seen your show from time to time over the years.... This the best thing I've heard coming from you. Bravo.
This is my favourite tune from you, and the one that made me pick up a bass for the first time. Incredibly glad to see an updated video on it. 💚
Thanks for giving us such a beautiful and magical thing
It reminds me of Portrait of Tracy, by Jaco Pastorius. These natural bass harmonics are beautiful. Great piece Rob, keep up the good work!
My two favorite music UA-camrs are Rob and Davie... nice to see this friendship!
I remember when this song first came out! We've come a long way Rob :')
That was beautiful. You're an inspiration to so many people, never give up on what you do!
You are such an inspiring person honestly, I love this
i swear to god, Rob is a living legend
Hey Rob, I just wanted to say nice job, I've been watching you for around 1 and a half years now. I love your music and I got my mom hooked on it also. Keep up the good work!
