Thought I was blowing my house up
My current oven, which is a 2004 stainless steel Sylvania oven, is still up and going, and it looks just a tad less than being brand new. Got it for about $45 due to it being a so called display unit. In truth, only half of the keyboard was working, but that was an easy fix. Just had to clean the keyboard flex-cable contacts and the main board keyboard connector contacts. Two of the door micro-switches died at one point, but someone had tossed their dead oven on the curb for disposal. I got several good working parts from that oven to repair my oven, and that includes the main fuse, a thermal breaker, and of course the micro-switches. Years later, the turntable stopped spinning, so I took the motor apart and fixed that. It required about two drops of glue to hold the donut shaped magnet and the gear that sits inside the magnet, to spin as one, rather than there be any slipping.

I took the original sheet, cleaned the bad side, and then put it back in, but the other way around such that the burnt side in now out of sight. It worked for years afterwards.

Common problem kasi yan sa microwave na kokonti lang nakaka alam na ganyan pala kadali ayusin at hindi na kelangan bumili ng bago maayos pa sa murang halaga. Kelan ko lang din nalaman kaya naisipan ko i-share kapatid. Thank you sa suporta kapatid!
Not good for the microwave to run it without at least a container or cup of water in it.
