The fact that essence pure n*de highlighter is very affordable makes feel like there are products that can be great quality without spending too much .
You’re so right, Rimmel needs more mentions on YT for sure, their foundation beats high end ones, they have a shape tape dupe and I’ve used up their powder twice PLUS they’re cruelty free! 🐰
@@slashedbeauty it’s their multitasker concealer, Emily Noel mentioned it as a shape tape alternative on her video from 3 months ago called “Don’t sleep on rimmel” I have been meaning to try it but should finish what I have first 😂
I used to use the shimmer bronzer back in '07 all the time. Their primer and setting spray is actually the best, and Walmart recently brought those back. I personally don't like the matte mousse foundation anymore but that's an aging issue. The shades were a difficult match as well. But yes, Rimmel has some gems.
Maybe use some of the setting spray to help out the glitter shadow. Dollar Tree has so many great makeup finds. You have to keep looking and some DT stores are better than others. You can still find great shadows, blushes, bronzer and glosses.
I didn’t realize I have that WNW palette. Lol. WNW is notorious for tricky glitters. You definitely needed NYX glitter glue. Not sure if a dab of foundation would’ve worked.
I'm so happy to have found this channel. The Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator is my no.1 complexion product!! I like mixing it with a matte foundation in the summer (like the L'Oreal Fresh Wear foundation.) I am also a huge fan of the new Elf eyebrow pencil. I can do my eyebrows with it in just a few minutes. I also just purchased the Essence Lash Without LImits instead of the Lash Princess, and I LOVE it! Rimmel is a British owned company, and is sold mostly in the UK and Europe. I'm sad because I loved their eyeshadow palettes!
Love this!! I know you only have room for so many products but I wanted to mention some other affordable brands that are mostly(or completely) under $15 are ioni, believe beauty, la colors, and catrice. They all have some really stellar products too.
Yeah, I agree, Rimmel is the Bees's knees!! I also use the matte foundation. You should try the Blushes. Just beautiful and pigmented. The lip pencils are great. The concealer is still good for the natural days, although it does not have complete coverage. I let mine sit under the eyes for about a minute or less. Definitely, people should talk about this more often. I know, @EmilyNoel talks about it too!!
This video is pure genius and absolutely necessary for a girl on a budget like me!! Thank you so much for this! Would love to see more challenges like this 🙏🙌. You're the best ❤️
Essence has a great foundation for $6, they don’t have an amazing shade range but if you’re in the fair to tan range you shouldn’t have trouble. Edit: Rimmel Scandal Eyes eyeliner is perfect for the waterline, full pigment and doesn’t budge.
Interesting! It’s fun to see what products you chose. I probably have chosen concealer instead of foundation, I definitely would have used a lot of AOA shop Miss a stuff (some of my favorite products I get there: ie. Brow pencil, brow wax, liquid blush, lip oil or glossy balm, even cream bronzer which is technically the amber shade of pot concealer, etc). Still I order those online or go in store when I’m in Houston or Dallas. I’m loving the one and done eyeshadows these days over a wash of bronzer or blush on my eyelids and sometimes use a Milani matte lipstick as both lipstick, Blonzer and eyeshadow these days. I am a huge fan of the lash n roll from elf and it’s only $6. This was a fun video that got my creative thought process going! So fun!
I'm so jealous that you have a Shop Miss A store near by. I would buy a lot more if we had one haha! Also love one-and-done shadows these days, there are so many great options!
It's interesting what you said about your hair color. My daughter's hair is what we call almost black. It's the darkest hair of any of the girls in her classes but it's not actually black. I discovered through research that pure black is number one, and almost black is otherwise known as darkest brown and number 2. I didn't realize hair colors were numbered LOL
I've been using the Wet N Wild cream blush in that same color as a color corrector in the dark inner corners of my eyes; it works very well at two or three dots of blush mixed in with one dot of a creamy ivory concealer (like Elf's Hydrating Camo concealer in Light Ivory). Super lasting power, and the satin finish of the concealer lightens up the flat matte of the lip cream product. Love the video!
I’m totally one of those people who sprays setting spray before mascara! Whenever I forget and do it after, my eyelashes smudge. Maybe if I let my mascara dry longer, and then sprayed the setting spray, that would help.. I’ll have to try that lol
I spray my angled brush and use dark eyeshadow as liner also. I have Rimmel Foundatio and Hard Candy eye crayons. Wet n Wild eyeshadow crayons, too, are inexpensive. I apply liquid blush to the back of my hand and use my brush the way you did. Very pretty look❤❤❤ whatever happens underneath your bangs isn't your business 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie, a full face of Wet n Wild would ROCK. I’ve never had good luck with Elf. I only liked their Wow Brow. Best 2-in-1 lip/ cheek for me was Milani lipstick. 👍🏻
Have you tried their newer liquid blush, or halo glow filter?? In recent years I've found so many great products from them! Which Milani lipstick do you mean?
@@slashedbeauty I’ve not. I made a few large orders from the Elf website a few years ago, and most of the products were expired. I didn’t wanna support them after that. I even found a replacement for the Wow Brow. The Halo Glow liquid filter is too dark for me- I’m usually the palest shade, and their pale in that isn’t fair enough. I’ve not tried their liquid blush, but I agree they did look nice! The Milani lipstick is their Color Fetish in Secret. It’s not terribly drying for a matte lipstick, and doubles/ triples as lipstick/ bronzer/ blush for me. 👍🏻
Oh I still remember the 20 dollar challenge..... About the glitter shade of the W'n'W palette, I either skip the brush and go with my finger or just use some setting spray on the brush after loading it with product and it works like magic.
In your defense Miranda, the Wet & Wild Lip and Cheek is a relatively new release, like in the last 4 -6 months. I love Milani Setting Spray, but I like the Dewy - best setting spray I've ever used 💕
I've only noticed it with tubing mascara but yes I do mascara after setting spray because it melted my eyelashes together and I was going to work and it made me late never will I apply setting spray after mascara again❤😂😊
Wet n Wild liquid blush launched about the same time as the Elf one, so it got overshadowed unfortunately. Rimmel has some awesome stuff and a big lineup at Walgreens!
I literally almost bought that eyeshadow palette two days ago, but I wasn't sure about the taupe transition ahade. It was giving a bit more yellow than beige, so I put it back for now. Not sure it will work for my pale skin, but the other shades do look beautiful. With that being said; I chose to purchase the WetnWild felt tip eyeliner in Dark Brown, and surprise - it was actually dried out completely. My daughter had warned me about all WetnWild liquid eyeliners always being dried out. So I will be returning that, and opting for the palette I suppose 🤷🏻♀️
I have the Breakup Proof brush-tip liquid eyeliner pen, and it's fantastic. The first lasted five months of almost-daily usage, and I'm on a second tube now.
Setting spray destroys my mascara… I even avoid my eyelashes as much as possible when spraying BEFORE mascara or I wipe my eyelashes after spraying. Sounds nuts but I already struggle with mascara smudging so this has helped
try these foundations' believe beauty, LA colors, LA girl matte, LA girl luminous..these r cheaper than elf i guess..or if u have already tried, u can make a comparision video on which one is better for whom among the cheapest foundations
Definitely haven't seen Rimmel in a while! My grocery store is somehow ONLY selling Elf makeup - and my CVS is majorly cutting back and has, oddly, also increased their Elf section a LOT. Not sure what's going on. I like Elf, but how did they land a deal to be the only one sold??
You're not the first person who has said this in a comment recently! To be honest I don't think it's necessarily e.l.f. "taking over" but other brands pulling out of retail and favoring online sales to be more cost effective!
@slashedbeauty so many are closing here in Virginia so I can get some good close out stock on cosmetics. It's sad, though. Your demo today was so good! I dont often think about multi-use of one product, but you pulled it off beautifully!
There are some $1 items still on shop messagers website. It's just a lot of them are 1.55 or 1.88 now and even up to 5. I literally could do a full face with them. I have some real favorites.
@@slashedbeauty If you do make a purchase, You will love the flawless face powder. It blows rimmel stay matte out of the water. I love the yellow length mascara that has a tubing quality to it. The artista eyeliners are the best in the colored shades, not black. Just make sure to get the brush tip not the felt tip. The new flawless concealer is fantastic. It's pigmented, long wearing and a Matte finish. If the lip stains are in stock and you like those they're very good, Kuu is pink/red. I love the new buttery blur lipsticks and the shade vampy is a gorgeous blue red. If you prefer Matte liquid lips, AOA has the wonderlock Matte lipstick in new shades. Hi, Miranda. I’m new at watching your videos but I’m really enjoying them. Have you ever watched Emily Noel’s get ready with me videos? I remember that not too long ago she did a video on a full face of Rimmel, I believe. I hope that I am remembering correctly. The lipstick that she used was called Coffee Shimmer and it was so very gorgeous. Beautiful, but definitely on her. I think it would be great on you too.
