I remember seeing this live early in the season in La Porte, IN. It rained we thought they wouldn't play. Then the staff came out, checked the field, and out came the Men of Madison to knock our socks off.
A vet showed me the VHS of this when I was in Madison. The crowd was so loud, half the corps couldn't hear the drum major count to step off into the company front coming onto the field. The line was a snake. Then at the 30, it locked in straight and the crowd went nuts. Tossing babies the whole damn show.

One of their best shows. Can’t stop watching it. The drill, the arrangements, the talent - just awesome!

My absolute favorite drum corps show of all time. I remember recording this off PBS when it was aired and I wore the VHS tape out through out this show from all the times I stopped and would rewind to watch something. Still gives me chills!

I marched 3 years of drum corps prior to this and finally made it to the big leagues in 99. Scouts was top notch organization. I'll always have fond memories of my age out there.

As a newcomer who's listened to an unhealthy amount of drum corps over the past few months. It seems like the last few G bugle years represented the most complex, yet raw era of Drum Corps. I'm a bigger fan of what the activity is now, but this was certainly unique, and I want to see something like it now.
Edit: Actually, I just realized we got exactly that with "Ouroboros."

    I love this show....
But I wonder...the audio is all panned left. Maybe a re-upload with it adjusted center?

In my opinion, DCI has turned the activity into a marching band competition, superimposed on a three-ring circus.. I am a former member of the Long Island sunrises I stopped following DCI. I'm not knocking with doing today but it's definitely not a drum and bugle c o r p s the cost to be a member is through the roof Comet and the cost to have these bands do what they do is in the millions of dollars with all his trucks required for all the props costumes rather than uniforms so what and so on. Local kids, I cannot afford what's going on today, they have lost millions of followers through the years because again people want a drum and bugle Corps, not a marching band❤❤❤❤

@@todlr and I have nothing against a marching band the Great Suncoast sound, they were a marching band that evolve into drum and bugle Corps. They were part of bands of America, Bob Carter how was the director. They had a great sponsor Circle K, but they blew it. Circle K wanted them to do a parade to represent their company they refuse to do it. Circle K drop them like a hot potato

Still think we did it better in 85.
