Totally agree about your top 3. Such lovely songs. I remember at the watchalong, Belgium sailed right up among my all time favourites, and it has been there ever since.
Ohh I did not expect us to have the same winner in the end remembering how much you hyped up Claes' song during the watchalong! Wonderful, not many songs makes me feel what Quand tu reviendras make me feel.
At this point it is safe to say that Mr. Groot does love a totally over-wrought male vocal. However, to be fair your winner is a nice example of less is more. (Although I do find her a bit scary) My favourites are Finland (as it captures the music of the period so well) and Italy (because it is so unashamedly romantic). BTW - I can, at times, be brutal in my reviews. However "lacking musically and agonising visually" is almost surgical. (and it made me laugh out loud)
Yeah, I'm shocked too that Stress wasn't your last. That's a great top 5 once again. That top 4 is spot on my top 4. And what a great year! There's only like 3-4 duds.

Pat is interestingly enough the father of one if Ireland's most successful feather weight boxers Barry - he seems like a nice man too. I'd like to thank Schlarger Lucas for intoducing me to the Swedish entry - in his lists for the top ten ranking songs. Its an underated gem that deserves to be better known outside of Sweden reminding me very much of a British artist called Georgie Fame who was big in the 60s - which is a style i like a lot. Yeah Yeah was one of his big hits which got covered by British band Matt Blanco in the 80s. Also the version Det Borjar Karlek Banne Mej on my Best of Eurovision playlist has the presumably Swedish commentator singing along with the first uh hur which is quite cute. If i spoke Swedish I'd sing along with it although i did learn the title by singing along with the chrous.
Even if I agree with La la la's repetiveness, I still love that son very much. Your top 3, though, are favorites of all time for me, specially Sweden´s entry. Claes-Göran was such a performer and he deserved to be on top 3 in my opinion. Excelent top of this strong year!
Yeah, underwhelming winner this year. I also really hate "Congratulations" for some reason. Anyway, you and my daughter have the same winner. I don't know enough about this year, personally.

Quand tu teviendrais is my favorite song too. For me it's the best song that Belgium send to Eurovision. ❤❤❤❤
