When you react like that when a Parrot bites you they are just gonna do it more, they like the reaction and mistake it as a positive thing lol. (basically you make them think its a game, yeah parrots be like that)
1st of all she iz an agressive birb n it's all bcuz of her stressful environment... she bites cuz she iz scared... and 2nd thng she might make u bleed bt a dog attack iz too mch ... m concerned iz she yet alive??
Denis Francis I think it was not their bird first. Why do I think that? Well... It’s the only one who can’t fly. That mean her wings’s feathers was cut. Why cutting the feathers of only one parrot ? So I think someone give it to them or they buy it. So I have two theories for the behaviour of this bird. 1: His ancient keeper didn’t take proper care of him. So he was stressful before coming here. 2: The changes of environment and family could be the reason of his stress. Well it’s Just my theories. And sorry If it’s not write right. English isn’t my first language.
if the bird really wants to hurt it can get you 7 stitches in one bite. just a temper really.. but of course behaviour has to stop. i play rough with my cat because he was never around cats, and he goes out and there are stray territorial alpha males and he defends himself. the back of one of my hands is much darker than the other lol.. that's not even his temper, jus tplay fight
First off. The bird isn’t the issue. It’s the owners being careless and not knowing how to train a bird. Anyone who actually knows how to care for a bird (especially an eclectus) would know that she’s doing this because she doesn’t trust anyone due to the others encouraging this behaviour and allowing the dog near her. Second of all. PLEASE do your research about Eclectus Parrots before you say such horrible things to someone. If you actually knew about these parrots, you’d know that the males are green and the females are red and blue.
These people dont understand parrots. I've owned parrots for 20 years. They are not easy to own and very misunderstood by most humans. They are like toddlers their whole life.
@emmajane8269 they can be bonded to one person yes, but nit always, but alot of the times. Depends on the species of parrot. My cockatoo was bonded to me and when I brought my daughter home from the hospital I don't think he liked it. He was 1 year older to the month that my daughter. Fast Forward several years, he got jealous of her and would keep his eye on her so he could nip her when I wasn't looking. After awhile of that, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep him. And I raised him from a baby. Taught him how to fly, poop trained him, flight on demand trained him and much more. I found a loving family who wanted to adopt him. They love him!
Why not keep the dog in the cage? These people have no idea how to train or treat birds. She is acting out for a reason. And they keep rewarding the behavior with food.
We have the same bird but she fits our family's style like a glove. If you want a parrot that is very affectionate and does tricks then pick the green male but they can be a little needy and will pluck their feathers if ignored. The female one is moody but is less insecure and is perfectly fine doing her own thing if you give her a box to play with. We all have day jobs so she is left alone most of the day. When we come home she greets us warmly and playtime happens at night. Sometimes she can be grouchy with those beady eyes like 0:11 but it's part of her charm. She's been with us for nearly 30 years now.
This is a female eckie and they can become very territorial and moody once they reach breeding age. The owners need to be taught bird behavior. This is not a safe environment for the other pets, the child or the eckie. Complete stupidity and ignorance from the owners
you got your point across. and that's helpful and very nice of you to teach them or educate them... but you don't teach someone something and then call them stupid and ignorant. and iam sure they will be sad if anyone gets hurt ... they are not monsters, I'am sure you can tell from such videos by now. hopefully you are loved, accepted and get your validation from your family. peace.
They should remove the parrot? They should, for the parrot's sake, because they're clearly unfit to look after her properly, as they make a joke of the behaviour and allow it to continue, thus... putting that bird in danger.
They should let someone else adopt her. There clearly bad bird owners. She has no toys. She’s not happy. Someone would do a better job. The dog can also kill the bird or the bird can injure the dog. She needs a better home.
You need to make a little wire muzzle for the parrot, maybe out of copper wire, so it can breathe and you can pet it and it can roam around without hurting everyone. It's sad that everyone hates that parrot. If you experiment, you can come up with a design for little muzzle for the parrot that fits over its head and face and beak that will not come off that will prevent it from biting. I dont mean wire the beak shut, but make a little wire helmet that fits over the entire head so it can breathe and even eat, but that it cannot bite everyone.
Instead they should keep a trainer for him....however the parrot is they love him..I'm saying cause used to have a parrot...you can't just abandon him its just cruel
The electus is just being a normal electus. Some people do not fully realize these "pets" are still wild and have instincts. That coffee table is serving as her tree hollow nest so if you don't want her there make her a new tree hollow substitute. Also the dog and parrots should not be allowed to have contact with each other it will end badly for one of them or both.
There are reasons why she act like that and this punishment will make thing worse she female in Harmon because matting period and if you notice while she bang her peak in the floor this to alarm others in folks she needs nest and space and building materials to build nest and occupied her time till the period pass. Punishment she will not understand and make her more aggressive because she will explode more.
That's a great idea😁 A form of punishment! He needs to learn it's not acceptable to attack everyone in the house! 😡 It too stressful on the other poor birds and the poor little dog!
Yes it is obvious that she is wanting to mate. Her eye pinning means she is excited over what she loves. Aggressiveness and flapping her wings are another sign. Yes she does have behavior issues too. Needs to be rehomed or they need to educate themselves if they want to keep the bird.

Buy giving the child treats or toys! They will do the bad thing over and over!
They're reinforcing the bad behaviour
Negative reinforcement. Try feeding when it is calm not chasing. Rehome.
She is a female Eclectus.
it's rumored that the family is still starving and terror by the evil angry Parrot xD
I think the bird needs some cage time.

They are onry little termites lmao
The family is always the last to know.
The way the parrot was staring up at her from that position tells you that she's a crazy bird😹She wanted ALL the smoke😹😹
She is lucky it's not a mean dog or cat, that will eat it lol😂

The dog was the only intelligent one in the group. Why did the others tolerate that nonsense?
Laura Shellabarger lol what a straight to the point comment!
The dog should be protected.
Its Asian thing ..
Shoot that dangerous bird!

I shouldn't be laughing, I know how terrifying it can be having one misbehaving bird among the flock, but this bird is hilarious 😂🤣
Hmmm,im worry,,,i dont think,,thats safe for the dog and bird to be together.
Its not
More Coming it’s terribly stressful! The bird needs a different environment.
