Holy crap you guys, everything you say works. Just got a 2024 Telluride for 2k under MSRP and no dealer add ons in Southern California! I sent the sales guy back 3x and one by one the add ons came off. Theft Recover ($1300), then clear coat ($695), smart glass (1295), digital plate (1,000) , protection package (995) we're talking $4,300 in add ons...then 2k under MSRP so ya'll helped me take $6,300 off the advertised price. Can't thank ya enough.
i love telluride im shopping for one now. the deal you got seems to be the norm right now for kia and if you got a kia theyll give 500 discount as a bonus. dealer in cincinnati was giving sx prestige xline for 3k off msrp more than 1000-1500 off the discounts because of a manager's special...car has 300+ miles 😂
Do you mind sharing how you were able to figure out how long a 2024 vehicle was on the lot? it seems like it's hard to come by depending on the dealership.
@@thearmanig98 well I can say I used their monthly service for $15 to check and I could tell it had been on the lot for 65 days
My son @ 22 years old watched your videos and bought a new car using your strategies yesterday. He bought a brand new 2024 Mazda 3 Sport Select Hatchback for 10% OFF the mfg sticker price AND he got $700 above the average for his trade in.
Bought a used truck from a dealership 200 miles away. They keep ignoring my questions and tried getting me to come in. Even tried to get me to get approved and possibly purchase over the phone before ever seeing it in person. I stayed firm and eventually worked out a price and terms contingent on a test drive approval. When I arrived they still tried a bunch of games but everything backfired and I got the truck for exactly what I wanted. Just keep to your guns and be willing to walk away.
Thank you for these videos! I bought a car over the weekend using the tips from several of your videos and I negotiated an awesome deal! The car sales men was completely thrown off and had to call for back up lol 😂. I felt so empowered with knowledge they didn’t expect me to have, I was in full control the entire time. Thank you so much! May God Bless you and your family!
I just found your page last week. And I will say you have very useful information stuff I wish I knew just a couple years ago, but hey you’re here and I appreciate what y’all are doing! This page deserves more subscribers.
I've been shopping some new cars lately and have really appreciated all the information on your channel. I'm not to the point of trying to negotiate anything yet but all the information has been really helpful. I'm dreading the negotiating games a lot less knowing what to expect. Thanks for making all this available, keep up the great work.
I have tried twice now with a local dealer saying exactly what I want, that I’m willing to wait for the right configuration, and that I do not want any dealer installed extras (window etching, paint sealant, nitrogen in tires, etc.) and both times they’ve just ghosted me. Literally never replied again. Apparently they aren’t that desperate for sales yet.
Only Jeep/Ram/Dodge dealers are hurting. Quality automakers are not
Their making a killing on service. My dealer is booked out a week.
From my experience lately it seems like dealerships would rather let you walk away than to give you a deal…they’ll try to get over in some sort of way by either low trade offer or say “we’ll take $1,000 off now if you agree to buy it” but its like $1,300 in random fees or overpriced add ons”…
Because people continue to buy their cars and be bamboozled.
Not all the dealers. Some are willing to do a deal especially if you have good credit. Many are hurting because a lot of customers are upside down. Have bad credit. Do not qualify for anything.
Unless it's a Dodge or Jeep, they are not dealing where I live either.
@@TheCaptjamestkirk I am not one to buy a new car. I rather buy a low mileage two year old car. Assuming, you are able to find what you are looking for, and perhaps not a Toyota, you can get fair deals. Dodge, Chryslers, and Jeeps have never been in my radar unless it was a Rubicon, but my back says "stay away"
It really depends on the dealership you go to.
This week I used a lot of what I learned on this channel to get $8k off sticker and 1.9% on the truck I've been eyeing for two years. The only thing I wasn't prepared for how was how the sales guy (who never gave me an out-the-door price) yelled at me when I told him I was going with another dealer (who matched his price in a written offer).
That much have been one annonying experience for you.
some how i dont believe you
@@suzsam17 Which part don't you believe?
@@suzsam17that's actually genius level....I'm literally doing that right now to a dealership I very, very, very much dislike. Lol....they're gonna be pissed when I buy somewhere else but kept them running for well over the last month....they refuse to come down on a 4runner I want and the first time I walked in the kid at the corner desk was banging a line off his desk....no way I'd buy anything from them! You can think things DON'T happen bc you've never seen it....but they definitely do. So use those kinda turds to your advantage imo...
Why did you go to another dealer for the same deal?
*EDIT:* I think I misunderstood at first
CarEdge for me is making the process of purchasing a new car fun like a shopping experience is supposed to be! Thank you guys for sharing such insightful information. I will be sure to leave my review/feedback once my car-buying process is complete. Thanks again, you guys!
Hey guys, just wanted to say thank you! I followed the advice in your videos and was able to negotiate $2K off of a CPO 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Limited yesterday. Thanks guys!!!
Got a new car 2k under MSRP thanks to you guys!
This is a very concise , well thought out , organized presentation of flipping the script on the dealership. Thank you
A great trick I use is I go online, find the cheapest vehicle I want in the country and take that quote to my local dealer and every time they match that same price. It's great leverage. Nowadays you can get a car shipped from almost any dealer in the country for $500 to $1,200.
Guys, this is gold. I can actually imagine dealerships or at least salespeople appreciating this.
Outstanding, thank you.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks guys! Great stuff. "Never step over a nickel to pick up a Dollar!" Every bit helps! Again great info from y'all. Much love from Texas..
Thank you guys for being advocates for the consumers. I recommend all of your tools to all of my friends looking at cars. You guys are doing all great things for the community, I truly appreciate it.
Great video as usual! Thanks for so clearly outlining car purchasing strategies along with the email templates. BTW, where can I find how long a specific car has been sitting at a dealer’s Place and the dealer’s invoice price? Thank You.
Thank you
Great work guys
I just used this template and it worked! I definitely got a better deal!
Just bought a wrx tr under msrp using what I learned from you guys
Bought a new 2024 VW GTI SE at 11% off msrp and dealer provided information about the military/first responder discount (I’m a retired Firefighter) which provided another $500 off.
I always reply "thanks.... I'll look elsewhere." Then they call or email back a few days later and I say "you know what I asked for... provide it and we'll talk after that." They're so slimy.
Just bought out my ‘21 Suburban lease from Chevy Clearwater, 32,500 otd. No doc fees, inspection fees, bogus charges - it was so easy I’m shocked. Great car & great price. I was ready for a battle tho, so thanks Ray & Zack for the confidence to get it done 👍
Great for new buyers or leases. What about 2-4 years old pre-owned? Thanks
Ray and Zach, I wanted to share with you my recent experience at a local CDJR dealership. I went in to get an estimate for quite a bit of maintenance work on a 100K 10 year old Jeep vehicle. Guess what, no one would provide an estimate, they were happy to schedule the appointment and I would receive a phone call with the estimate. I agreed and decided to try a second CDJR dealer and got the same response. Well it did not set well so I went to a Good Year service center, on the spot quote. .Several hours later the CDJR dealers called back and It was a sticker shock price for the service. Considerably higher and it was ridiculous. I am a retired mechanical engineer and I know how the service should be performed, yes dealerships are higher but with this new process which I experienced seemed as though as another way to further gouge a customer. Have you guys heard about this new process. ?
This video must of been recorded pre Puerto Rico vacation. Hope to see Ray and Zach Live again soon.
Im going to buy a 2024/25 Toyota Corolla in a few months and I’m definitely going to follow these!!
the best way to buy in 24, DONT unless you absolutely NEED one! this industry is getting the much needed and long overdue wake up call! these prices are consumer driven! they can ask what ever they want, doesn't matter if no one is buying! remember my friends we as consumers weald a lot of power! use it my fellow consumer use it! and this goes for fast food home goods and many many things! if we are not buying they WILL change! but as long as we believe we are powerless they will continue with these prices! peace and best wish's to ALL!
Purchasing 2024 Audi S5 premium plus w/ sport package this week with an out the door price $3500 under the msrp using much of the advice from your channel . This includes $2000 off from dealer plus a Costco bonus of $1500 plus AudiUSA financing @ 3.99% for 60m. The car I initially wanted was at a dealer 1 hour away and have done all of the negotiating over text and email. I even found a car further away and this same dealer was willing to make a trade with the other. Initially dealer wasn’t providing enough detail. I asked for a detail listing of everything discussed to that point and then ignored texts for a day or so. They then sent me a finance sheet with all pricing, deductions, document and title fees, sales tax etc. No sneaky add ons or gimmicks. Further, they are paying to transport the car from Michigan to Ohio. Could have the car truck delivered to me for $200, but I plan to go from western PA to outside Cleveland this week to pick up in person.
Thanks Zach appreciate the video and your hair is fine!
I wasn't expecting a video from you guys this week (even a pre-recorded one). I hope you are enjoying your time in the Port of Little Richard.
Since all their videos are the same rehashed click bait bullcrap over and over why do you even bother?
@@chadhaire1711 Why do I bother watching? Because I enjoy it. Why do you?
I offered my dealer $35k less than their list on an EV, they laughed but the listing keeps going down. It will get to my price before the year ends 😂 This is a brilliantly worded email! Thanks!
Same here I'm asking for 30k less than asking price for a EV and I'm almost there 20k so far. I'm being patient 😌
@@Truha1985 for sure EV’s are tanking, but as a fun second or third vehicle, hold em to the coals! 😏
The Chinese can't sell theirs at 75% off
when most cars/trucks are over 50k theres no such thing as best price.
With 6.25% financing
Exactly , people act like we’re selling bags of chips ! These are extremely technological advanced computers we’re selling
Hey, excellent content, quick question, does your system to find this cars work in Texas dealerships too?
What I liked the best, is when I was able to order what I wanted, without having to negotiate. Later on, when I got back, I was able to get them the check and I drove home with the nice truck.
It's so much better when you can buy what you want, instead of what you can afford! 🙂 That was not now-a-days. Can't do that now! It's better to save money and not get a loan. Going in debt is way more costly!
Agreed amazing
My brother in law purchased a used car some years ago and is the best negotiator I’ve seen. He picked the car he wanted and told the salesman what he wanted to pay monthly. Salesman went back and forth countless times and my brother in law never budged and just plainly told me there was no deal unless he got what he wanted. It took so long that the dealer was closing, a manager had to overwrite the actual value of the vehicle and my brother in law actually got a a better deal than what he asked for by a few bucks. The sales person got very frustrated and I even I did but it goes to show you that if you have patience and perseverance you will eventually get the deal you want within reason of course.
I wouldn't budge on the Camry I wanted for just over invoice since my local dealer was selling for MRSP or $3,000 over invoice. I followed him back to his managers office and his boss slammed his fist on his desk and said WHAT DOES HE WANT US TO DO, WE'VE ALREADY LOWERED THE PRICE $2,000. That was music to me ears. They eventually went down $500 more and gave me more for my trade so we made a deal.
I built my desired Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid on Toyotas site, printed it off and took it to two different dealers. Ended up waiting for a “preference” build to get the EXACT car from the factory, and for 3k under MSRP to boot.
These videos are great! Any tips for negotiating a popular car like the upcoming 2025 civic hybrid, preferably the touring trim. I feel they will not be sitting on lots for too long just similar to the Prius 2024.
i just got a otd total quote from a out of state dealer and the total before gov fees is a clear 4k higher than the online price and they will not remove any of the extras - should i turn them in for false advertising ?
I have a dealer I've been emailing, asked for lease prices and he's like "Naw, just come in and we'll go over stuff" and I'm like "Naw, gimmie a price or I ain't comin in". So far haven't heard back.
Same lol. They just keep giving the msrp price online. Why come in if you're not going to give us a deal.
It's cause they all use that stupid computer automated response crap for emails and texts. Have contacted a few dealers and you will never get a real email back from them.
It's because they are tired of giving a deal, you taking it somewhere else, and that dealer beats the total price by $150. Why would dealer one do all the work when you won't even commit to come in?
@@workoutwithrob1700 why would I come in when a dealer won’t even commit to something as simple as giving me a price?
@@workoutwithrob1700 Horrible take there from a business perspective. Even if a small amount of customers do that, the majority of people respect and value an honest salesman and someone who tries their best to please the customer. If I work with a salesman and he works hard to get me a great deal and someone else quotes me for a price that is a slight better deal, I personally would much rather support the business that fought for my business rather the business that realized that they had no choice but to go that low to get a sale.
A salesman should try his best for each and every customer because you build reputation, and reputation should be drastically more important to people. There are gonna be people who are going to only pay the cheapest amount possible and don't care about all of that, but when a dealer starts to put less effort into negotiating and trying to build their reputation, they reduce their total customers and hurt themselves in the end.
This reason is a very large contributor as to why dealerships that do no haggle pricing and are upfront with all their fees (And make the process much easier without having to fight to get information) are becoming the most popular.
I needed my Honda Civic to get me through at least another year. It was a great car but I hit a deer in March and totaled it. I just dread car shopping.😭
When asking for a discount why would we say $500, $750, ore even $1000? What if they were willing to go for $2250 or more? If the vehicle is high demand then of course MSRP is going to be "the deal" but in the case you are explaining that car has sat for 2-3 months and all the costs involved with that. I have always been of the mindset that whoever throws out the first number loses in a negotiation. If I say $500, $750, or $1000 all the dealer sees is "I only have to take $500 off this aged unit to get a sale"" it creates a disadvantage. Is that really your proudest paragraph because to me it seems a bit passive?
im also confused with this...but i feel they are saying since the car sits on the lot for so long what is it exactly they will go down in price for an OTD number...which u can always work around.
How do you find out how many days the vehicle has been sitting on the lot for?
What if everyone agreed to not buy a new car for the next 2 years. What would happen to the auto industry and the dealerships? That would make an interesting video
The Feds would pay them from your tax dollars. That’s what would happen.
@@AnimationByDylan Yep, and they would thank us like they have been.
What about when I order a new 25 Camry?
Awesome templates! You rock Papa Shefska!
If a dealer doesn't honor my request for information in the first email, there won't be a second email. You get one chance.
I'm of similar thinking, but in my case there is a second email and it says "you didn't give me the info I wanted so I'm working with a dealer who did" and send it and forget them.
Wondering what your opinion is of Costco’s pre arranged pricing.
When it comes to how long a vehicle has been on the lot at what duration does them replacing things like tires come into the conversation?
What best website you guys would recommend for buying a used car? Or Auction site?
Those templates are amazing 💥💥💥
Thanks for all you do!
Hi everyone. I have a serious question. I have a 2024 zo6 with very low miles on the engine and it blew, if they replace the engine the numbers will not match, will it take a big depreciation on the cars value?
I have been trying to purchase a 5-7 yr old 4 runner. There were several for sale in December, but the advice was to wait 60 days. The last few months the price is higher and very few of them available unless I want to drive cross country.
I Don't think your methods work for some vehicles ?
Hit 200k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in last month 2024.

Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?
I'm 37 and have been looking for ways to be successful, please how??
Mrs Christen wilburn was my hope during the 'bear summer' last year. I did so many mistakes but also learned so much from it, and of course from Christen wilburn...
Woah for real? I'm so excited. Christen wilburn strategy has normalised winning trades for me also. and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started

If someone is interested in buying a 2024 Ram 1500 for the main reason of getting a Hemi V8 and an estimated time to buy October-December, would you recommend they wait for a deal or start looking now? Curious if inventory for 2024s will even be around then since 2025s are already starting to roll out and concerned that the chance to get a V8 at the end of the year might not be there/discounted further. Interested in your thoughts.
What do yall think about the National ev lease
where do I find the tmv in canada. Is it the same over here?
Hello, is this applicable in Canada also? 🙂
I been learning a lot. Wasn’t in the market. But after my care being totaled I have to be yesterday was the third salesman I walked away from to pushy. Or caught lying.
If I buy a new Honda in Colorado, is it possible to register the car in Arizona?
This is a better strategy when you're looking for a new car to buy. In the used car market, even if the cars you're targeting are from the same year there's too much of a variance because of mileage, condition, number of owners, ect. To buy based on the best out the door price.
🍻 Cheers.. Pat yourself on the back 🥂good job🎉
My wife and I just got a brand new Solterra Subaru. We financed the car through our local Subaru and have 200 miles on the car. If I brought the Car in today to Tesla motors do you think I could get the same 500 dollar a month car payment.
is there a general script for used cars (from dealers)
How does one know how long a vehicle has been sitting on a lot?
Most of these dealerships won’t even answer emails or texts…. They all want us to come in… I’ve had 2 or 3 that wanted to work with me through text and the rest wanted me to come in…. Like cmon man first off I live 2/3 hours away so I can’t make time and 2nd if I wanna make a deal I wanna make the trip worth it!! Some dealerships are just horrible but il be looking to take these templates!

Ok so what if it’s in a state like Florida, and I live in California but since I’m active military I can register it to Washington (my home of residence) to not pay tax on a car. Do I let them know I’m military?
I love you guys
Suppose you have horrible credit. Does it not matter because you are working with sales for the OTD price, and the finance dept won't be involved?
Also, if I can get a great deal, I'm planning to buy in Montana to avoid having to pay sales tax.
My problem is I want a 24 Tundra Limited TRD, and the dealerships won't budge on pricing. Unfortunately, the ball is in their court since these sell so fast.
How do you tell how long a car has been on the lot?
today I was looking at Nissan frontier pro4x and it was 23 model and online listed price $43,000 and some change. but when I asked for the price of the truck $64,946.18 in add on's. nothing on the dealers web page said anything about a add on's. why do dealers do that to people
How do you find out how long a car has been on their lot ?
Hello, new to the channel. I recently learned of "grey" vehicles. I've been interested in a certain vehicle and color. I've noticed a number of these vehicles come from Canada. What, if any, options are available with "grey" vehicles? Purchasing, maintenance, warranty etc.
be prepared to get spammed for years following this approach and also, every single dealer you contact will call you trying to set up and appointment. They will add you to all their email lists....call you non stop.
That means it's time to get a burner phone.
Tell me about it lol , I feel like I'm in collections with these calls
You could set up an email account just for this purpose, and delete the account after you've made your purchase.
As mentioned, I’ve already created a separate ‘car buying only’ email address. When I’m through purchasing, it can be abandoned.
Unsubscribe and block are your friends.
I just ask what their out the door price is, and start negotiating downward from there. It's so much easier.
Thanks for the great content, as always!
are you kidding.....these guys are full of crap---same click bait week after week
Hi I am looking to buy a used Lexus that is super reliable. As a single mom I've never purchased a car on my own without help negotiating and am wondering if you have suggestions for folks like myself who are talked into things easily.
I can not imagine those people who bought into the EV craze these past three years, they are so upside down that it reminds me a little of 2008 when people were just walking away from their mortgages at the expense of having bad credit. Dealers don't want them either. Some are given away leases which is the only way you might be able to get a cheap one, but then again, you need good credit to bite.
What would be a great deal of a Toyota Crown Platinum from a dealer that had the car for 180 days? Thanks
Let me guess, watch your channel and leave a 👍.
What was sticker price
Would I do anything different if I’m buying cash? I have to buy cash because I’m buying a house and don’t wanna mess up the mortgage rate 😒
I have tried to buy online for a couple months now and every car is sold out from under you . NOone gets a ppi the cars last days . getting a PPI in a couple of days does not happen in a week if your lucky and the car is sold by then . ( talking about buying used) seems not possible .
I've been watching your videos and have been taking notes!! Quick question, I have a GM family discount from my dad. When do I tell them that? After settling on the price? Surprise!! My daddy is a GM retiree and I get an additional $$$$ off. 😀
You tell them upfront as the selling price for the GM family discount is listed on the invoice. You are then still entitled to any customer incentives that may be available at that time such as additional rebates or special finance rates. All the best, Ray
Can you or are you avilable to send info on RV's. I want to buy an RV when I turn 62 and retire and drive across the USA. and if this does not work I will sell.
Thank you!
Nah, they conditioned me to love my old faithful. Holding out till they feel the pain of the process they've themselves created.
I am looking for a 21-22 Lexus RX AWD. Please give me some advices on what to look for. Thanks
A very good mechanic
Low miles, less than12K a year.
A clean Carfax, no reported accidents.
Maintenance records, ensure all required services done on time.
Check Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds for pricing guidance. Don't overpay.
Great templates. I'm looking to buy a RAV4 Hybrid but not sure this tactic will work.
I want one too but think we will have to wait. The prices have not come down yet for these. I am driving a ‘16 now.
In my area they’re selling MSRP but not being bought as fast anymore. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel!
A few weeks ago I got a RAV for 8.96% off MSRP. Stay firm on your price and be prepared to buy at a moments notice. Dealers like to hear I’m ready to buy today.
I'm finding that a lot of dealer websites do not show their email address....or even have an intake form to contact them by.
How do you find how many days a vehicle has been on a dealers lot?
I’d like to know that as well
How do you negotiate a vehicle that is in high demand/low inventory that is not on the lot but in transit? I sure could use your guidance. Looking to purchase in the next couple of months.
Simple, high demand means no supply. Not something you can negotiate. Simple
Their strategies they discuss only work for vehicles that no one wants, meaning the odds of you wanting the car that these strats work on is very low.
Following cuz I’m very curious of this also!
I’m with tier 1 credit and trying to buy a particular vehicle. Dodge SRT DURANGO. But dealers say the money factor . Interesti rate is high on these. Can the interest rate go down or is that model set on what manufacturer is asking ?
If you are buying there is no money factor.
If you are leasing the interest rate is the money factor divided by 2,400. The money factor is set by the leasing company. But the dealer F&I manager is allowed to bump (increase the money factor). Always demand, not ask, the F&I manager to reveal the buy rate (the money factor the leasing company approved for you).
If you buy you are not required to finance through the dealer. Call your bank or credit union to learn the financing they will provide. They let the dealer F&I manager try to better that rate, they usually can.
