My first game that I owned on the SNES it came packaged with it. I totally beat the snot out of this game as a kid and enjoyed it. The sequels were way harder but no lees fun to play. I couldn't beat them until years later.
Hah, nice! Yeah, it's still a lot of fun to play. The only SNES DKC game I put much time into before was the second one, so I was due to finally finish the original as well!
Hah, yeah no kidding! They're very precise, and sometimes you don't have a lot of time to think about what you're doing. But these games have a reputation, and I'd be disappointed if they didn't get tricky!

The ramp up in precise platforming is huge. Like holy crap those tight fits border on being so small that DK can barely fit through them.
