I don't like the mindset that some of these people have. I'm not entitled to unite you, or save your hide because you feel I need to. I will if you're a friend or have been playing well. I will use my rewards as I want because everyone in the group, including me chipped in and put in effort. Everyone is given the right to use rewards as they want.
My thoughts on SOS are: If you earn it, then you can use them as you wish because you earned them. I usually use them to help in battles in mints and such, but I do not care if others go wasting their own SOS cards.
When I VP, if there are lower level toons who are trying to level up their suits, have decent gags, know good teamwork strategy, and I have good Cogs Miss or Toons Hit SOS cards, I will use those SOS cards to help them out with their gags or to prevent them from going sad. Example: During the skelecog round, during the first cog wave (i.e. a level 12 and 1-3 other cogs), if I’m the only 100+ laff toon on my side, and my teammates on my side all have only big magnet at the most, I will use either a Cogs Miss or a Toons Hit to give them a helping hand. I honestly have no problem helping Toons in VP. As long as no one is greening, that is... because greening is wrong in so many ways
I'd agree that it can be wasteful in terms of the sheer volume of rewards typically used, but as I said in the video, I've never really had many situations in which using a reward was even necessary.
If I get an award like a restock throw or squirt SOS/unite, I'll just use it to restock if I'm soloing a building or factory. I can't exactly think of a use for them when in a boss battle since most toons either just spam sound or use lure and have enough throw/squirt to survive through the cog rounds. And even then, they can resort to using sound for the remainder of the round.
Yikes, not this argument again. But hey, if we're putting it into this context then I suppose you might be right since buildings are essentially of a somewhat limited, not-always-readily-available quantity (until another one appears, that is). You could make the argument and I would agree with you on some fronts, but I wouldn't be 100% with it. Also, the whole point of the videos I posted regarding that were to combat the ban more so than question the ethos.
Soloing isn't selfish. You earned your own rewards, and by the time comes around, when you're doing the boss alone, you use you're own brain and take you're own risks.
Another thing is that everyone else that survives the boss gets the exact same reward. You don't do a boss and the reward is randomly given to just one player. If that was the case, nobody would even do them. Why should people care about what you do with them? They're YOUR rewards, YOU earned them, so YOU get to do what you want with them. It's not my obligation to save the asses of Toons can't play the damn game, or if we just simply get unlucky. It's not a high Toons job to get weaker Toons through areas they don't belong in, so I'm not using my rewards for other people if said people are total idiots. There are times where the ways people use them are pretty stupid ( unless it's something useless ), but again, people are going to do as they like with what they have, and you can't really control that. Plus, only using things like SOS cards on other people really isn't a requirement, considering they probably didn't help you to get that reward. Heck, there's a chance they didn't even do the boss. And who really even cares about summons? I've really only used SOS cards a few times. I've had my main Toon for over a year, and the amount of times where I used an SOS card and actually needed to use it was 4 or 5. And about 3 or 4, if not all of those times were just from sheer bad luck with Lures, and 2 of those times were Toon-Ups for myself when I was training Trap solo.
Daniel McDonough sounded like what coach zucchini said look him up he did tto videos and he called soloing everything but 5 story buildings and factories selfish
Karkat Vantas legend has 6 letters. tommeh has 6 letters. 6x6=36. thirty-six has ten characters. 36-10=26.twenty-six has one non-letter. 26+1=27. tommeh is the legend27
I just see this as a negative outlook on the community of TT in general. I don't ever agree that soloing the VP is selfish if there are an infinite or even 100 VPs in a day even through the eyes of a district holder. If there was something that achievable for that kind of good reward and making soling the VP/CFO so achievable then it really doesn't matter. Heck, people can just go to boarding groups and call it a day and don't complain about something so obnoxiously false about it. I think soloing the VP is more of an achievement than anything.

people call it selfish because of coach zucchini.

I think their argument is less of "Soloing is selfish" and more of "Soloing is wasteful".

Tommeh That is a good point a lot of people miss.
@@tommeh3197 Even then it only takes a few rewards to solo 3 of the bosses.
Toontown is not a game that's designed for solo. Having said that, the players can do whatever they want. The obvious answer is that it's not selfish.

Soloing a boss isn't selfish but soloing a building that people who have been standing outside of to get a group together for is.

that's called building stealing and according to my friends it's a banable offense :/

Hogging the elevator is a non-argument. You can do it on an empty server
Not to mention everyone in a boss battle gets the same reward
Rewards are for greening naughty toons
or ditching.

Is TTR still kinda alive? I havent played for months.
ThisRaisesMyDong WhyDoesItRaiseMyDong From what I've noticed, it's gradually dying along with the rest of the community.
Tommeh thank god
Tommeh they musta banned almost everyone by now

Listen to what Coach Z said.
All hail Blubberpocket
No, and even if it is, who cares? There's way too much social justice warrioring going on these days.
