We have a story about a selkie in my country, a man took her skin and forced her to be with him, they had two sons. The man hid herskin in a chest and kept the key close to him. One day, he had gone fishing and forgot the key at home, the selkie found it and took her skin, leaving their two sons home alone. When the man came back, she had left to be with her mate and cubs. Another version for Futakachi Onna- there were 2 sisters (I’m so sorry I forgot their names so we’ll call the older one Jess and the younger Saiki). They were both very, very poor and had no money so that made it so they barely had enough food to survive. One day Saiki came home filled with joy, but when Jess asked her what happened she didn’t tell her. This happened for weeks and weeks. One day Jess came to the thought that Saiki must have been eating good without her and in her blind rage and unbearable hunger she attacked and consumed her own sister (Saiki). She then realised that Saiki had been saving money for the both of them. From extreme guilt and despair a large mouth formed on the back of her head, it was The mouth of Saiki.
