For Kuchisaki-Onna, when she asks if she is pretty, just say something like maybe, or so-so. It will confuse her and she will be distracted so you can run.
Lol- oh wait..l
I’ve also heard of throwing candy at her! She will eat the candy being distracted also leaving time for you to escape.
@@m.p4ss1onN is that true cus I have plenty of candy
@@lazeemunchkin7058 I’m not sure, I heard it quite long ago and I’m not sure where from but if you’d like to know just research it ig
i'd just act like a normal caring person. " Why are you asking if you're pretty? Everyone is! "
The nurse one seems so sweet
Almost like a friendly spirit
I think she is🤣🤣
Honestly I’d go to that hospital and try finding her and if I do I’d give offerings or something like that :)
For real
Most spirits are friendly or neutral but saying the spirits name or doing something that harms that effects them will often aggravate them and cause them to attack
it made me cry
About the kuchisake onna legend, people discovered answers to survive the legend. Such as dropping coins onto the ground( since kuchisake onna is very sensitive to coins) and saying “ I don’t know” to answer her question. Then run away as fast as you can, leaving kuchisake onna not knowing what is happening.
Edited:omg thank you for all the likes!!
And you can throw or drop candy around her, and she'll get confused and you'll have time to run away, OR you ask HER if she thinks your pretty, like "Am I pretty?" And she'll think about it for a long time, and you can make your escape.
If you say so-so,Kuchisake-Onna will get confused and you need run away from her WITHOUT her noticing
Edit:Another fact about Kuchisake-Onna,if you say yes twice with fear,She will follow you home and kill you
I’ve heard this one!! :) finally someone else who knows this fact
You can also just say “maybe” to confuse or stop her for a minute.
@C4ViTy sounds nice
on the corpse bride: The movie is actually based in the Russian- Jewish tale of "the finger " about a man who proposes to a corpse by accident
Also: Jane Seymour married Henry 11 days after Boleyns death and died 11 days after giving birth to her son
That reminds me of the movie Corpse Bride
@@neon_honkai I think that is what the inspiration of the corpse bride came from
Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard are cousins and they both got a sword to the neck
@@AshyAvocado786 read the comment(that were replying to)again. It says”The movie is actually based off”
Oh
I’m not like other witches, I drive a house with ✨chicken legs✨
Can I have a piece of of the chicken legs and eat it?

The version of La Llarona that I learned was that a woman with a young son and daughter fell in love with a man. He was falling for her as well until he found out that she had children so, in a desperate attempt to win his favour, she took her kids and abandoned them by the river. She then went to tell the man what she did and he was disgusted with her. Distraught, she went back to the river only to find her kids were no longer there so she roams the earth for eternity searching for her lost kids.
I heard of that version it’s sad either way 😔
It's so nice how the nurse fixes her mistake by helping others
There actually is a right answer for Kuchisake-onna, for you to actually like not die or get a big smile carved into your face you can just say normal then while she's thinking of what to do, you can run away. Keep up the amazing artwork I absolutely love them!
I think you have to say "eh, you're average" and not "normal"
Not tryna be rude
Or you can say your average
@WeirdFrog ya you would probably did😐
@WeirdFrog she would kill u right then and there 😬
I’m sorry but can we just take a second to appreciate her beautiful signature ❤
Yup!
No like foreal! I like seeing her write it
I’m literally in love with the way she draws and how she always uses the black and gold, it always turns out so beautiful
YESSS ITS LITERALLY SOOOO PRETTTY❤❤❤❤
Slayyyy
The one where she would leave a pearl on the bedside table was actually a kind spirit
Your voice is so relaxing and perfect for storytelling. This should be a podcast

"she could've used eye cream" that had me dying! keep up the great work!!
I love folklore. This art made me so inspired. Though most of these story’s have to do with more chilling folklore, none made me uneasy. They made me interested. When hearing the story of “The Slit Mouthed Woman” I was very interested. When I heard that she will ask “Am I pretty?” My first answer in my head was “of course your beautiful.” And same with the second question. But the moment I heard “If you say yes, she will carve the same slit in your mouth” that gave me chills and made me uneasy (keep in mind I am never easily phased) the room I (was) in stared to feel cold and very creepy. ❤️✨👏Wonderful job on the art and stories!❤️✨👏
This is so cool! I really liked this, as a person who really doesn't get nightmares, loves horrors, art, and calm voices this is a wonderful video to come across!

Also u don't have to be so harsh in letting someone know they made a mistake.
you have no idea how i relate to this! ever since i was a kid i was obsessed with urban legends and horror movies, i started facing my fears and got less nightmares because of it. honestly this should be a form of therapy

I'll be posting a lot more now! New series will go up very soon
Hearing this folklore is honestly something I listen to when I'm needed to be comforted. Her art is amazing and these stories are really interesting and it's just very comforting to watch and listen to
As a theater kid it made me very happy that you mentioned Anne Boleyn.
Look I know a year later reply but *don’t lose your head* for that 😀
lol say oh well, or go to hell
This is oddly calming to me, this makes me listen to the calm music, your amazing narrator voice, and the beautiful ink drawings
Can you please tell me the song in 25 pls
I put this on to listen to while doing homework but I didn’t get any homework done. Your voice is so relaxing and the ink painting is so mesmerising
ive been trying to find her EVERWHERE i finally found her again :D her voice is very claming thats why am i love to hear folklore.
I love the Anne Boylen one! It’s amazing art!

Boleyn, sorry!
“And lives in a house that moves on chicken legs and I’m honestly jealous and wondering if she’s looking for a roommate” like yo relatable XD
I have a story of how my house was haunted. (She was a sweet and friendly spirit, don’t worry)
So when my parents moved into our house they realized there was a spirit, but they never thought it was scary. They told her “Josephine, this isn’t your house any more. We promise to take care of the house” our something like that, when me eldest brother was born my mom would say “I’m taking a shower.” And she would just leave my brother there on her bed (bc she knew this happened) and my brother would start cooing and giggling. The ghost was taking care of him. And when he was older he would talk to ‘no one’, my mom would ask who he was talking to and he would say “I’m taking to the Lady!” And again, it was a friendly spirit and never caused my family harm.
This is a super sweet story, thank you for making my day!
can we just take a moment and appreciate her eyelashes? Its just perfection.
just say “of course!, everyone’s beautiful in their own way!”
Can we all just appreciate her amazing drawings
21:51 when I saw this photo, all I could think of is tower of terror, at Disney World I don’t think I wanna go back on that ride
Same……..
I enjoy these stories, heck they're even better than bedtime stories 😊
I thought it's folklore, like the album by Taylor Swift
20:19.
Think horse girl but ✨ VENGEFUL ✨
15:49 if you don’t have TikTok and are interested in the paints and inks she uses, she discusses them here. ❤
This has a certain type of beauty that not a lot of people can explain.
Me: -hears anne Boleyn-
Also me: -loves six the musical- ☺
My friend, Jorge, has told me so many urban legends and the would creep me out, but it's lovely to hear them.
I can fall asleep listening to you talk and watching your art. Your art is beautiful and I hope I can draw like you one day.
I love the wholesome moment where she said“have a great day “. Now I feel like my day is a bit better! Also, I know some Japanese folklore! Mostly the fox spirit, tho
my dads side of the family (irish) tell the story of the banshe all the time (ik i spelt it wrong). i showed them the art and they thought it was beautiful!
Im Irish and i never knew that the banshee was an irish myth, Im warning you, and you probably already know that we do not believe in leprechauns! That was some where else!
Banshee’s are really interesting!
I’m fighting a book based off of Irish mythology and the banshee is one of my favorite legends!
TELL!HOW ARE U SOO GOOD AT DRAWING?!WHAT ARE THOSE LUSHES PAINTS?! Love your videos❤️
The paint is the type of paint you use for straw art… they come with a pipet cap
Baba Yaga's walking hut bust've been an inspiration for Howl's moving castle
and also the Grey lady must've been an inspiration for the Gray lady from Harry Potter, at least for the name
as well as the three witches at the end of the video might've been inspiration for Hocus Pocus
Yes I definitely agree with all of them and fun fact JK Rowling made each characters name have a very special meaning so The Grey Lady must’ve been true
my toxic trait is thinking i could paint like this because of how smooth she does it and how easy she makes it look 😭
12:57 there actually is a slight answer, if you drop candy on the ground it is said she will stop for just a second giving you time to run. but then once she is done inspecting it, she will chase you until she gets you. i dont know if getting inside will save you but id assume so.
small edit: may sister mary find her head, and rest in peace in heaven
I talked to my dad about Mexican urban myths, where he came from, he told me about his paternal grandmother being visited by La Planchada. My great grandmother was suffering from a terrible headache and went to the hospital. That night a nurse approached her, gave her medicine and comforting words. The next morning she was healed and asked the doctors for the nurse from last night however they told her that they didn’t see any nurse. Pretty cool story.
8:50 I suddenly regret smashing that spider with a box in my bathroom. 😢
Uh oh-
Honestly some ghosts aren’t always evil, they’re just broken
Ye and they were just like us , Humans but they died a painful life by us , So sad :
Your voice is relaxing and I love the way you paint and it enspires me to do more and more drawings also it teaches you what happened when they was alive
I love messed up folklore. And your art is amazing!!!😍
I love your artwork. It's so pretty 😍 ❤️ 🎨
Thanks so much!
@Rana Van De Buurtpolitie I will be! I have a lot of stuff coming 🥰
about the kuchisake onna legend, I think i might've found another way to confuse her. (Imagine this scenario)
kuchisake onna: Do you think I'm pretty?
person: yass queen, speaking of whitch wanna go out? there's a good place behind that gas station
kuchisake onna: wha-
person: Alright! see you there!
kuchisake onna: *confusion*
The way she just paints is just so satisfying
I love how you do the lashes! I need to know how you do them!
So I got really excited when I heard the tale of the blue lady, because there is a restaurant nearby my house that has another tale of a different blue lady that haunts the moss beach restraint in California (nearby San Francisco), along with the restaurant (which had really great food). She is a playful ghost, and was known at first by her pranks on male staff which started in the 1980s. The girl lived during the prohibition, and worked at the hotel that shared the parking lot with the restaurant and she fell in love with a pianist working at the restaurant, however, she was already in a relationship with another man. Through some argument (I don’t have a string recollection of the details from the flyer I was given 2 years ago), both men found out and fought in the parking lot. The next morning, the woman was found dead on the beach the restaurant overlooks.
The drawing is insane!! This is incredible talent

I've watched this video around 13 times I'm just obsessed with the stories and the art❤
No one is talking about how good her drawings are!
I live in Tennessee and I’ve never heard of the Bell Witch and I don’t believe it’s still taught in schools….. still this information is very eye opening
Maybe some teachers only teach it?
12:59 There is a way well actually 2 ways. She gets distracted by candy so kids and some adults keep candy around if they're walking alone and instead of yes or no you can say "You look average" which will confuse her and give you time to run.
i always find myself coming back to this video, its interesting
OMG, the EYELASHES are AMAZING!
Baba Yaga has a book, "The House With Chicken Legs". She has her name the same, but this time she leads ghosts to afterlife. Her grandchild (who i forgot the name of) was the only one she lived with. The child's parents died when she was young, her grandmother is her only family member. This is all I have read of that book, its a great story.
3:33 vibing with the background music tbh:)
Your paintings are positively gorgeous, cant wait for next years folklore video!
Finally Rewatching it
Let’s all be honest these women were so beautiful when they were alive
I love six the musical there’s a song based on her called don’t lose your head
I love Six the musical too!
IVE BEEN WATCHING THIS EXACT VIDEO FOR A YEAR STRAIGHT. I WATCHED IT 29 TIMES THIS YEAR
The first drawing is insanely beautiful
Supernatural the series did this and holy shit all of the stories were terrifying.
Grimm the series also added in a few folklore tales (well they are based off of fairytales).
I don't know if you've already done them, but if you haven't, please do the northen folklore creatures like Nøkken og Draugen ❤️
why are they all soooo pretty, like, what how
You should do a series on Greek myths, I can think of so many you could do! Arachne, Medea, Circe, Medusa, Ariadne, Pandora, Helen of Troy, etc. they all have cool stories too (most of which are tragic so they fit your theme) I love your work! (I’m subscribed btw) ❤
That's a great idea I love it!!
9:45 she is the….
✨ Rock Lady ✨
the Bell witch story is so cool, not sure if its this vid but i am from Tennessee and I had never actually never heard that story, but thank you for that! you really helped my never ending curiosity
Edit: and for the corpse bride story, i love how for the background song you picked "Spoopy scary skeletons"
Edit 2: for the Moll Dyer story when you said "scar from boiling water" me, who watches anime instantly thought: "SHOTO TODOROKI!!"
You’ve inspired me so much. I enjoy trying to recreate some of your art, and while they are never as good I can only hope if I work hard I can get to where you are now. 🥰
Omg your voice is so soothing and you draw so good keep up the good work💞💕❤️💖
18:24 i think she saved the neglected patients due to her regret of leaving those in nee of her and neglecting her duty she saved them so they can live a that she took away from her patients before she heals them to let them live as that is her duty....
1:42 when I was little I went to school one time the teacher said “get on istation reading for 30 minutes” then there was this game that I think there was a lady named Baba Yaga.. I saw a house running on chicken legs……
'' She's not like other witches.'' That was got me rolling!
This video pops up every year around Halloween and every year I’ve watched it lmao
13:05 actually, to survive her you need a mirror and show her, and she will scream and cry and fades away because she forgot how she looked, I feel bad for her,
Or just say they average the run whilst throwing candy at her
ppl here in 2024
I love how pretty the art is though
"Think horse girl but make it ⭐vEnGeFuL⭐" Had me dying haha😂🤣
Do you use store bought colored ink or make your own somehow? Can you tell me? I want to try doing one of these paintings!. 🙏
13:11 same bestie
WOOOO! SIX REFERENCE!
i love how the eyelashes r done, theyre so pretty
14:05 The white lady kinda creeped me out since the white lady was also a famous myth in the Philippines and literally every kid in our neighborhood would talk about her (┬┬﹏┬┬)
I have on question. How did these people came up with folklore?
I really really like your art. It’s so elegant and beautiful. You portray the stories so well through your paintings.
My mam has ordered your Banshee and Goody Cole pieces as birthday gifts for me, because it's my birthday on Wednesday! I've loved your art for ages, and could listen to you tell these folklore tales all day. So excited for my gifts to arrive 💕
23:52 i think this is what hocas pocas is based off of
She is not looking for a roommate and if she was then she would have on ready eaten you by now @1:32
It's a joke
The jackolope is actually my favorite “mythical”creature I just love that they look so different and there also adorable
I adore your style! It’s so satisfying to watch the piece come together. Keep it up!
