I remember 1985 like it was yesterday. I was living in Miami and would routinely see production crews on location filming Vice. I don't recall ever seeing the cast but the film crews were always seen in the greater Miami area filming the show. That was such a great time to be alive. We were young, healthy and full of life. Those were the days and I miss'em like crazy . . .

Went to school in those years in Miami, 85-92, but best times we're 85-88, beginning 90s you could start seeing and feeling the change. Lived in South Miami The Falls area, and also in Miami Shores, N. Miami, that place was a paradise, whish I could go back to those days.

And that's not a bad thing if you ask me. He was a part of the most iconic cop show to ever be seen on television. No police show has EVER reached the level of Miami Vice since it went off the air.

It's just an incredibly cool, innovative, gripping, relatable show.
The 80's were far from perfect. But, the country knew who it was... We knew what we stood for... what mattered... and you can see it in the themes. How far we've fallen since then.

This reminds me of how FAST moving Letterman was in his prime. Wow, you better be sharp to keep up, but Johnson is as sharp and charming as he was attractive.

Totally one of a kind cool. Let’s hope his role in Knives Out helps propel the MV reboot I keep hearing about. It’s long overdue!

@DearMakeUpDiary I never made that connection before, but you're right. Both very good looking (Don moreso, and I'm not gay), similar builds, and both ooze charisma. Good comparison.
