republique is another bb where you can really feel the age. It's one of the few bbs that pays the price for 30mm overmatch instead of getting it as a default.
Nice mic upgrade! Good to see you using equipment that matches the quality of the content in your videos, you’re one of the best wows creators out there right now.
Rip the shitty mic era you will be missed dearly Also russian bias boogieman kremlin when Edit: monty having 39 seconds turret traverse feels like what all battleships should have…its not like yamato where its frustratingly bad but it still requires the usage of a brain cell
BBs should default to ~60s turret traverse and ~20s rudder. And should be Yammy speed if they aren't BCs. It's crazy that the Iowas IRL made a ton of compromises to be fast and then WOWS just makes that the default and gives other nations gimmicks on top of stealing what should be the Iowa's "gimmick".
It wasn't treaty restrictions so much as fitting through the Panama Canal, using the SoDak 1920's 16" guns (whoops on that part), being able to keep up with the CV's if they were full speed and not knowing the Yamato had 18.1" guns at the time of design.
@@alphax4785 fair. But still impressive. A lot of the other 30+kn BBs are just larger so they can just brute force the top speed with more engine. Just look at FDG or Prussen and GK. The other issue is that for the BBs that have documents but weren't built had optimistic estimates at times for their top speed, and likely would not have reached them.
10:20 I do think you're right about the leg mod being more of a trade off rather than the straight upgrade that most think it is. The question it imposes is that do you want quantity of shells you are throwing out that pen 32mm plating or do you want the improved accuracy to hit more of those shells on a target with a hit to the reload speed. I guess there's no real right answer, just personal preference.
@dadyorj2323 What all legmods should be instead of 'gain 1 airstrike and reduce cooldown on all in return for slower reload on guns that are cruddy anyway!' and 'lose 1 second reload in return for hitting 4 more SAP shells per salvo!'
@dadyorj2323 That's the problem with RP legmods as opposed to the mission based they were originally. The original legmods had very little greed incentive on WG's part since they were all cumulative 'just play the game' missions like BXP and damage. Thus you got legmods truly balanced on creating or enhancing an alt playstyle at the major cost of usually either concealment or reload / range. Instead the RP legmods are max WG greed since they're expensive as heck at 1/3rd an RB ship so they have to be 'good' for players to want to grind them... and since the RB is grindy AF that's a lot of Premium Time / Boosters / outright buying or converting silver and FXP being sold.
@alphax4785 Oh yeah, it's definitely WG making the grind a lot more expensive and increasingly powerful to keep you grinding the game, and then they can greed it out because it takes so long to get those upgrades. I talked with a friend, and we came up with the number 1.37 million RB points to get everything in the research bureau.
Yeah I have a love hate relationship with yammi and other like her. I love to smack broadsides but yammi just isn't made for that. She is a bow smasher and that takes some getting used to.
23:15 They should definitely bring back that test ship they had as a concept for what the Vermont rework would have been and keep it the same old Vermont and give it a 45 second DCP base. I know you would love it.
"I don't know what WarGaming has against Japanese ships" Literally the battle of Tsushima. Most of WG is Russian, they're still salty they got blown the fuck out so badly in a single battle by an upstart Asian country. There was a dev on the forums in open beta using Tsushima to justify the new (at the time) HE spam meta for cruisers and destroyers. They haven't forgotten it.
I think she needs a certain buff. Like making Yamato Leg mod dispersion changes on only Horizontal Dispersion making Dispersion looks like a circle than a Vertical Oval. I think it still pretty balanced considering that the trade off is slow turret traverse. Or make Yamato gave IJN Battlecruiser Spotter. Basically Deadeye consumables making Yamato more accurate than any Battlecruiser out there. I mean, Yamato does use spotter planes IRL for ranging targets at times.
Everyone is talking about the new mic, but what about the thumbnail typo? Is it safe? Is it alright?
The mic upgrade XD

It's definitely gonna take me a while to get used to the better mic quality, but it's overall much improved now.

To be fair, Iowa's did that in 45k tons of displacement due to treaty restrictions. Most of the other BBs are well over that.

You people would be banging your heads on the wall back before Battleship maneuvarebility was nerfed en masse back in the closed beta.
Embarrassing.
yoooo new mic upgrade let’s go
Are you going to review the harugumo
yeah when the RB points reset

@@alphax4785 exactly, why would you want to keep a semblance of balance when you can go all out and make it absolutely oppressive!

Would u recommend bungo or yamato cause ppl prefer yami over bungo for the guns ?
I think republique is next then?
Mic quality 🫦
Are you considering making a Louisana videdo? I know it's the cringe híbrid ship but i'm geniunelly curious about your opinion about it

Any reason why you picked preventive maintenance as the 1 point skill?
no reason, probably better off with the 1 pt repair skill

WG has the same thing with the Germans in both here and world of tanks. I guess they still haven't moved past operation barbarosa yet either.
Awesome vid
Yes but i have to grind past nagato etc im out
Forget original comment, it really doesn't matter...
The ship doesn't fit that best anymore in the game looking at the fast amount of HE slinger ships there are in game right now.

Yami is more like nose in gameplay and Monti more about maneur
Yami is more like just sit at the back of the map and shoot everything while monty can do that but prefers moving around much more
