If anyone doesn't quite get it, the first cross is right over left and the second is left over right and repeat.
Babish sent me here and he was correct that this video did a much better job showing hot to make a plaited loaf. So cool.

i don't understand why Babish said it was kinda hard to explain/understand with this way of making bread
once it's on the table and you are 2 full moves in you can get lost easily. Give it a go with playdough.
