Gotta be honest. I know that they made the summons shorter so it won't break the momentum of the faster paced fights. I haven't played reunion, but I wish we could see a longer version of the summon like the original on the first time we use them. Btw, I'm so glad to see Odin finally have just one eye!!

Probably one of the few people who LOVES all the new ones more than the OGs. Especially the Bahamuts. I watch them every time and the visuals make me squeal like a kid everytime
For some reason I like the original phoenix summon

@@lstsoul4376 Not completely a remaster since they did update the combat, but I wouldn't call it enough for a remake either.
@@ninetailedfox579121 there's way too much work done to be simply a remaster. Models, audio, voiced cutscenes are all new. Only things kept the same are the fundamentals of the game and some of the FMVs.
@@Jared_Is_Near Remake and remaster have nothing to do with how much work is done, but rather what that work is. A remaster keeps the same game with improved visuals and audio while a remake changes the core gameplay. The cutscenes themselves and 99% of the dialogue are exactly the same, and the moment to moment gameplay is exactly the same besides the combat being made more fluid.
Gotta be honest, I prefer the old cinematics by a lot, theyre just that iconic. But these are actually great and make sense with the more fast paced gameplay. Great work

ff 7 remake project which includes this game i can see why the project is the most expensive video game project with each game/part being 80 million dolor budget. and that's insane this is the best series i have ever played with characters i actualy like.

Same. The other new voice actors are serviceable in their roles, but Zacks new VA just sounds so bland. I think one of the most egregious examples of Zacks new VA butchering it is during Cissnei's DWM. He puts all the emphasis on "now" instead of "fire" and it just grates on my nerves everytime

I get why they shortened the summon animations, but man, these really lack the impact of the originals. The originals were long, but they’re power felt oppressive and destructive. These ones are pretty, but lack that oomph.
With this release, squareenix blurred the line between 'remaster' and 'remake'

I think a lot of these designs are better than OG Crisis Core. Especially the Phoenix. It actually now looks like one instead of looking like a Kulu-Ya-Ku on fire.
Those impacts look far inferior than the extravagant animations lol. That Bahamut flare was GODLY. Then we see a lil bitty explosion on the enemy 😂😂 gotta love. FF

Bahamut's megaflare is somewhat underwhelmed compares to the OG for me, maybe because it's a little too fast.
Yeah it is. When Bahamut crashes down and the sky shatters from the force is awesome. Shame we lost it here.

I encountered a magic pot yesterday in one of the earlier missions and he told me to give him a healing item...I was so mad at myself as I forgot how to give it to him.its been so many years since I played the original game.i forgot the controlls....everyone knows when a magic pot appears its a rare opportunity to gain tripple XP & AP points..

Some of the animation starts at like world breaking it's like the end is coming but at the end of the strike it's like bruh that entire animation at the start put to shame
At least in remake you get to battle alongside some of these summons then when the time is up they do their signature move

Homestly, exaflare is awesome. Reminds me of Siren from Xenoblade 2. Also, gotta admit, i am disturbed and find the Moogle in the summon horrifying as normally the Moogles are not supposed to be tall. They also shouldnt induce fear and panic in players. If i ever buy this version, that moogle summon can stay where it is at and i have no issues with getting rid of the materia either.
They certainly are faster, but not bad.
That poor pot monster looked so violated...
Graphic and sound gets better, but I miss the old days, like bahamut in ff9, spells and summons did feel much more epic back then...

Bahamut Fury, there are three Bahamuts that didn't get used in VII, and they are Bahamut Primal in Before Crisis, Bahamut Fury in Crisis Core, and Bahamut Sin in Advant Children.

I understand that they were trying to stick to a theme naming Bahamut’s attacks the way they did, but it’s kind of stupid because it makes Bahamut Fury seem more powerful than Bahamut Zero, and if I remember correctly Bahamut Sin’s attack is supposed to be even stronger if we are to go by the name
