A) mention a measly 3 of them
B) show footage from Hobbit while calling it LotR
C) show exactly zero pictures or footage of Andy Serkis himself
D) move on to the next item, without even MENTIONING any "funny moments". At least with most of the others, there's actually something to look at, or even some sort of anecdote about a "funny moment" we potentially COULD have been shown.

Had no problem with Tarkin in Rogue One, but the CG Leia . . . looked like a wax museum exhibit.

I think part of that is the lighting in the scenes they appear in. Leia is fully illuminated whereas Tarkin's scenes have lower lighting, so there were more shadows on his face.

Without CGI we'd be stuck in the 80's and 90's doing puppetry. Not saying puppetry is bad it had it's moment much love there. Now CGI we can bring back the love even better.

I think CGI is a good thing. Love how realistic they make it look. I have never had an issue (unless it looks to fake) when movies have had a CGI character.
In most cases CGI is not replacing actors, they are using actors who specialize in mocap to get the effects.
CG is amazing, but also, it's destroying what I want to do as my career. I'm a sculptor and I want to do special effects make up and prop creation.

The Jedi Guy, I know, it I prefer the physical medium. I have Tourette's syndrome and sculpting in person helps lessen my tics. I definitely plan to learn to digitally sculpt though.
Might want to trade the brush for a computer because what you're pursuing won't be a life-long career.

CGI in my opinion can make or break a film.if CGI is done well it can realky make something look amazing like the original JP movie or iron mans suit. i feel like if you use CGI im the right places it can be done well. But if you overuse cgi ot if it not done well it really draws away from the film. for example suicide squad or the one sceme in matrix 3 with a bunch of agent smiths. so as i said CGI can make or break a film. as my opinions on CGI Leia and Tarkin i think Tarkin wasant that good but was meh but i though CGI Leia was fine. but this is the best CGI glhuman remake done so far

really ? how about Fast and Furious 7 Paul Walker CGI , and many more you can't detect CGI , star wars was total junk with Wilhuff Tarkin , bad job.... easy to see he is not real .
They used his two brothers (one is almost a twin tbh) as "body doubles" and worked from there. You got to factor in that he appears for about 2 seconds with almost no shift in facial expression and is in a car so it's very "shadowy" (which hides alot of details). If you look at a real Paul Walker pic and one from the ending of F&F7, you can even see differences on how the form of the head is different....It's not a bad job by any mean but it's not perfect.

CGI is a good thing when done well. Most people still remember the early days when it was extremely poorly done, but these days you are more likely to see good CGI than bad.

Life of Pi only opted to have a CGI TIGER after their real tiger nearly drowned at the beginning of the boat scene
Who said that it makes the medium cheap???It made movie more beautiful and appreciated in a high level.
While some of this is funny, the idea that one thinks any of those animals look good or real is so funny that I could die laughing. Actually that is what I tend to do when I see cgi animals since they are often so wrong in so many ways. Personally I think CGI could be useful, but they have to blend techniques and styles. And they got to stop trying to make movies with animals when they clearly have never seen any animal. Despite that, I found this list amusing.
0.o' are you serious? They have the vagueness of the animal, but they don't look real. I have seen real bears, lions, tigers and then some. If you think they look like the real creatures and not a cgi drawing doing it's best to look real then we got to go to the zoo and have you see some real animals.
I mean they usually do go to zoos to watch and study the animals. Along with video and pictures as reference material. It would be near impossible to recreate an accurate representation of a CG animal without any reference material.
I know they do, but still looking at the cgi animals they stand out painfully from the eviroment or the actor stands out. some movies have better cgi than others. the ones with animals on this list do not.

Personally I would like to see a movie where only 1 or a few characters are CGI, the Netnavi characters. Netnavis are living programs that are able to substantiate themselves in the real world inside a dimensional area. So I would intentionally try to make these characters look somewhat unnatural and detached from reality while still interacting with the environment's light to indicate that they are physical but made of something that does not exist in nature. So yeah these characters are supposed to look uncanny, specially Kuro Servman, his uncanny stare is part of his ominous charm.
The strongest netnavi in the movie would be Kuro Servman.EXE (Kuro meaning Black and Servman meaning "a man who serves".) Kuro Servman is able to generate googly eyes that possess objects and also he generates enormous black human looking heads (the heads have the physical appearance of white men heads to avoid racism despite being completely black heads and also the heads are bald and instead of eyes they have tiny white dots) that have stolen souls powering them, he also has weapons such as the Excalibur Sword, Cross Laser and W Gauntlet. And also he is able to ghost dash (when he dashes he time leaps forward).
