I don't have any Knipex stuff just yet, but I would love to own some. Lately, i've been buying some Japanese made tools from Amazon while the prices are low. The Japanese yen lost a lot of value to the American dollar, so the price of their tools dropped significantly because of it. But it will go back up and could start at any time, so I'm investing in some of their tools while they're more affordable. I'm sure I'll wind up owning some Knipex, though. At least a few tools that I know they make the best version of. Those handles are nice.
Yeah, this is a great time to be picking up Japanese tools. You might want to wait out the Knipex and allow them to get more of their new handles into the market. They are slowly going to introduce their new KnipeXtend handles. There is a slight design and material change, but the bigger ticket for most will be the ability to color code them with the clips. Right now the only ones stateide are some bigger cable cutters...it kind of remains to be seen if any in the "old" handle style will get a price reduction. My honest opinion is they will just sell and then new orders will have the updated handle as they roll out. That said, good luck with the Japanese tools...really hard to go wrong.
Yeah, it would be nice to see German companies enter that market. I'd like to see a cross-hatched iteration of these that could serve as a stepping stone to the multi-position. I liked the LN ACFs well enough to wind up with a pair at home, a pair at work, and then the shorter version at home...they aren't perfect, but they are really good.
Thats right ... 🛠️
The smooth voice, of cool tools.
Haha, I'll take it!
I, too, got the 145s and then the 185s. Great grippers
Nice! They really are a great tool! Still kind of under the radar imo.

Nice haul
Thanks!
I wanna see a Twin Grip 5 position feature on an aggresive 7" needle nose. Thats a Snap-On ACF killer.

@@lonestarmopars For sure, those SO needles are sweet, I'm sure Knipex could pull off a multi position version that would be perfect👌
